One site has the Jets favored to win the AFCE
Einstein replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fans are foolish to ignore this point. The Jets defense is incredible. There is not a defense in the league I would take over them - stats be damned. If Rodgers can just be above average, they we will be a tough team to beat. -

I also don't believe he is intentionally fabricating information. However, keep in mind that cognitive research suggests that individuals often unintentionally exaggerate due to memory bias. Studies in psychology, such as the work by Elizabeth Loftus on the malleability of memory, demonstrate that human recollections are not perfect and can be influenced by emotions, context, or repeated storytelling. This phenomenon is commonly referred to as "memory distortion," and is where details may become amplified or altered without deliberate intent. It is in part why witness testimony in court is so incredibly unreliable.

I think this is accurate. In 2019 the thought was: “this is fun! but even if we don’t win the Super Bowl, the future is really bright” And then in 2021, it was: “we should have been in the Super Bowl, if not for a fluky 13 seconds. Future is bright”. And then by 2023 it was: “uh, it’s now or never. The roster is aging and we have wasted the past 4 years. In 2024, the future doesn’t look quite as bright.

What jumps out to me is Trubisky bailing clean pockets. For no reason.

New Renderings of New Stadium Clubs
Einstein replied to Never NEVER Give-up's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thank you. I thought the gates don’t even open until 1 hour before kickoff? They were telling club seat holders that it was a perk of buying club seats that you get in 90! minutes early. -

When was your appt? Most of the club folks I spoke to had never seen these. Wondering if it’s a recent appt thing. -

“With the Founders and East Clubs effectively sold out, and with the Field Club moving fast and approaching a sellout, this is the perfect opportunity for us to share the renders of these incredible club spaces.” Anyone else find this quote from the article… odd? Now that we have your money, we can finally show you what you purchased! -
Receivers the Bills could go after?

When you put it that way… YIKES. -
Receivers the Bills could go after?

I truly believe that Allen and Pickens would set records together. If Pickens kept his maturity level up. -
Considering that their averages are within 6% of each other… they are kicking from about the same spot on the field.

If you could get a day 2 pick for Cook would you pull the trigger…

You may not like OP’s questions (and I personally find it irrelevant because it wouldn’t happen) but this type of vitriolic response post suck much worse. Why would you insult someone just because their idea is different than your own? What is the point? You could have simply skipped the thread, or answered with a “no thanks”. FWIW, I think your question was just fine. Interesting even. -
I understand respect their decision to cut Araiza. But I don’t see why you wrote /thread. 60% of punts inside the 20 is crazy good. That is significantly better than 3 yards of extra punt length.

The Bills handed the Von-Miller-beating-his-baby-mama news quite differently.

Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season game 2
Einstein replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nope. Again, if you read properly, you would know that the image I posted was the full shot. It was direct from the TV broadcast with zero cropping. You are wrong. Feel free to admit it - or don’t - but you are wrong regardless. -

Reading before responding is always a smart idea. Yeah these are 2 separate discussions (the throw and the drop). If the idea is that he purposefully did not catch the ball because he was afraid of being hit... well... that'll fly in the pre-season but not in real games. . -

Don't let him bother you. He just thinks he is funny but doesn't realize it comes off poorly. He is talking about me. -

I didn't crop anything. That's the TV footage (they cropped it). Here is another angle though. The defender 5 yards away has nothing to do with Coleman dropping or not dropping the pass. When you're an NFL WR, you have to catch that. Period, point blank. It has to be a catch. Heck, as an NFL WR you have to catch that even if the defender is 1 yard away. You're talking about 2 different subjects and conflating them. 1 - The quarterbacks throw. 2 - The wide receivers lack of catch. Should the throw have him been low and in? Sure. Does an NFL WR have to catch that slant that hit him right in the hands. YES. You talk as if Coleman got popped on the play. He wasn't touched. You're even expected to catch it in college. -

That shed and tackle on the Pitt RB near the boundary was eye-popping though. He absolutely dropped a TD yesterday. It hit him in both hands - you have to catch that. In general, I'm thinking its going to take Coleman a little while to reach his potential. I don't see a rookie season wonder in him so far. Just watch him on all of his routes. Follow his routes even on plays where the ball doesn't go to him. I'm genuinely concerned about the lack of separation he is achieving. And then of course on the one play where he gets separation he drops the TD. Chalk it up to growing pains. -
He is not missing the point - he is ignoring it. He knows that NFL history is littered with Super Bowl attending teams that would have missed the playoffs had they lost 1 or 2 more games. Having a backup QB that will give you a fighting chance in the scenario of a starter missing a few games is crucial. However, because it does not fit his preconceived notion and because humans have a terrible time admitting that they are wrong, he is digging his heels in.

Bills @ Steelers - Preseason Game 2 - Sat 8/17 7PM
Einstein replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
lol we haven’t forgotten that defenses can call timeout Tasker. McD does it nearly every game. -
And you continue to ignore the other half of what I said (which was added within seconds of me posting the original). You also have no idea if the Chiefs would have still won the Super Bowl. They would have went from a 1st round Bye with the Divisional and AFCCG at home… to no bye week and one of those games on the road. Regardless - There are so many examples of Super Bowl teams that would have not made the playoffs with 2 more losses that your point is completely moot.
-
No. You simply ignored half of what I said. Bucs won the Super Bowl a couple years ago. They would have missed the playoffs with 2 more losses. Giants would have 2 less Lombardi Trophies if they had loss 2 more games that season. The examples could go on and on. 2 games is a lot. And yes you can be good enough to win a SB but not great enough to be able to spare 2 games. NFL history is LITTERED with examples. I could list another 15 examples.
-
If the Bills lost 2 more games last season, they would have been out of the playoffs. If the Chiefs lost those 3 games with their backup in 2019, they would have missed the playoffs if any other division. Yet they won the Super Bowl.
