Gramps was a die hard Bills fan. He was Serbian, and proud as hell of it. He was a war veteran. He owned a house in Colden, just down the street from Kissing Bridge, and directly next door to his tavern which he owned for over 5 decades, "Danny's Inn." It's changed name several times since, but it will never be Danny's Inn again. The food was great (especially the wings), the skiiers loved him, and he made a living for his family (yes, he had many Bills players as regulars, and Mr. Ralph Wilson and him were friends, but he loved the regulars - and when his family showed up? Holy hell, the pride in his face.... ). The house next door, his for 70+ years, was humble. But it was where I celebrated every Christmas Eve - and humble house and blue collar living or no, there were more presents than anyone could count. It was also the place where I watched Mr. Norwood miss that kick by what seemed like a centimeter. Possibly the last time, tonight excluded, that I can remember crying. It's where he told me, at a very young age "Stevie, don't stick your finger in ****, because it stinks." This was his way of telling me not to hang out with the wrong crowd. Best advice I have ever received. He loved his family. He loved telling good jokes. He loved telling REALLY bad jokes. But he was always our biggest fan and supporter. He was our partiarch. Tonight, he passed away. Gramps, tonight, you'll be able to see again, you'll be able to walk without pain, and you'll have the most delicious icy cold can of Blue and shot of Crown ever made. I always wanted the Bills to win one before Grandpa died, but now I just want him to be happy, and I have absolutely no doubt he is.

Bills to trade Kiko Alonso for LeSean McCoy
stevestojan replied to CNY315's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This thread is still a thing, huh? -
Add: if this is to argue you don't need an elite quarterback to win the SB, thus saying we are OK with MC at the helm, just stop. Add again: is the person who voted yes a "chef" who uses the delicacy pickle juice as a main ingredient in his pasta dishes? Why??? Why do I get sucked into these threads....

I was having this same debate with a friend of.... Wait I can't even. This is the worst poll ever. No one, EVER, including Mr Dilfer himself would argue that he is elite.

Charles Clay REPORT: Dolphins won't match offer sheet
stevestojan replied to The Poojer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is perfect. Every time the Bills score a TD, my wife starts celebrating. I sit, depressed, waiting for the flag. I literally only celebrate after the extra point. Sad sports life we lead. -

If Matt Cassel can't win with this offense, he should go work at 7-11. -
Bills Super Bowl Odds are now 33-1
stevestojan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The site I use (which still shows the Bills at 50:1), has us "better" than: Bears, Browns, Jags, Vikings, Raiders, Bucs, Titans, and Skins; and us "tied" with: Texans, Saints, Chargers, and 49ers Again, the site I use has us still at 50:1, so that's likely even more teams we have better odds than. -

NFL.com article about clay signing ends with: "Buffalo's quarterback situation may be up in the air, but this is one of the most talented teams in football on both sides of the ball." Holy ****, when's the last time anyone said that? -
Bills Super Bowl Odds are now 33-1

Dont remember seing 33:1 in the last decade, minimum. It is likely since 98, but I'm not sure. -

Me too. My wife had a trip to Vegas and did the same for me (at the Venetian, in January). At the time, the "websites" had 75:1. She called to ask "is this still ok?" Gotta love her So I'm not sure where you find the 300:1 Panthers, etc. But I'm glad my 40:1 is now actually better than the "real" current line. -
Will the Bills ever sign Charles Clay?
stevestojan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If this is the case, I now understand the "hype." Not saying I wouldn't like to have the guy on the team, but we'll surpas 50 pages before it even happens. I forget how long the Mario thread was, but this guy is no MW. My question, can he play OG? -

I know I'm adding to this thread by just typing this, but 48 pages on Charles Clay? Guy better **** gold bars that we use for our SB rings. -
Chris Borland retiring after rookie season with SF
stevestojan replied to frogger's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it's insane, especially after playing for FREE in college, to now to decide to give it all up. But I respect the **** out of it. His life. I doubt anyone with that good of a head on his shoulders (no pun intended) will have any problems finding a decent job. He won't be a millionaire, most likely, but I'm certain he considered that. Good for him. -
Who will start at QB on opening day?
stevestojan replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I went MC but am surprised TT doesn't have the lead. Not sure why, just think with our line, the anti-pocket passer might be our hope. But I think logically (which certainly hasn't been the 2015 Bills so far), MC makes most sense. With the fear of being called an EJ basher, he just isn't good. If he's every a playoff QB in this league, I'll print this post out, and literally eat my words. -
Tim Tebow Working Out With Eagles
stevestojan replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pain heals. Chicks dig scars. Glory... lasts forever. -
So we only have to beat him once in the postseason rather than twice in the regualr season? I'm good with that.

Tebow is working out on 3/16. Coincidence? (Stole that from comments section of another site but found it funny) -
cutting the cable (or direct) tv cord
stevestojan replied to birdog1960's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Nope. You just literally click one button that says you've tried and can't get the Dish. I'd feel bad about lying if I didn't pay the full price for the ticket every year, which I do. -
cutting the cable (or direct) tv cord
stevestojan replied to birdog1960's topic in Off the Wall Archives
To answer both questions above: my streaming used to be pretty hit or miss through wifi. I bought an XBoxOne when I canceled cable. I don't own a single video game but the Xbox hooks everything (my tv, music, streaming) together. So I now use a direct Ethernet cord to stream everything. As far as Sunday ticket? Yet another reason I bought the Xbox. There's an NFL app and I stream Sunday ticket through that. I'm sure the Xbox is cool for video games, but I'm old now. -

stevestojan replied to birdog1960's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I cut the cord a year ago. I pay for Amazon Prime, Hulu Plus, Netflix, and NFL Sunday Ticket. All combined around $54 a month (if you divide Sunday ticket over 12 months). Still less than half of what cable was. I literally haven't missed it for a second, and use the Internet for weather and get the WSJ at work for news.
