  1. Best win since the comeback against the Houston Oilers in the playoffs.
  2. Bills will be okay, but I do think the front office is way off on their assessments of our safety, 1 technique DT and wide receiving positions. These positions are weak and were last season as well. Another note: our new punter is bad.
  3. Babich is in over his head. Coleman has done nothing tonight and is a total non-factor. Brady is having a very off night of play calling on offense.
  4. Thanks, JH. I typically start three RBs (one as a flex) in my league since it is a standard scoring league, so I usually draft two RBs in the first two rounds and sometimes a third RB in the third round since there are so few RBs available that play a majority of the snaps. I agree that Chase is in position to have another great year and if I was picking a bit later in the first round (maybe sixth or seventh) I probably would draft him. Josh Allen also is tempting, especially if he is available in the second round.
  5. I have my draft tomorrow night and I am picking 4th. Standard scoring (no PPR). I will draft a RB in the first round. If the choice is between Henry and Jacobs, who would you pick? A little worried that Henry will not be in for 3rd down passing plays and may lose some carries in general to other backs for the Ravens. If Gibbs is available, I would pick him before Henry and Jacobs. If Bijan Robinson is available, I would think about taking him (I know that he is generally ranked higher than Gibbs, Henry and Jacobs), but the Falcons' offense scares me a bit with a second year QB.
  6. Carter's roster spot may not be safe after players come back from suspensions and IR.
  7. A little weird that no news about Tre has leaked so far.
  8. I would like to bring in another free safety, but I think we are stuck with this group given that we are quickly approaching the season opener and it would take time to get a new safety up to speed. Plus we don't have cap space and it is slim pickings, at least for remaining free agent safeties.
  9. Seems to me that part of the problem at the safety position is that we do not have a true free safety on the roster with starting capabilities. I think Rapp, Bishop and Hamlin each fit more of the profile of a traditional strong safety than a free safety. We need a starting caliber free safety.
  10. I know that the Bills have some leverage with Cook given the way the CBA works, but, given his actions, Cooks seems to want to separate now from the Bills and I have a feeling that he will try to force his way out of Buffalo before the start of the season. The wild card here is whether any other team will be willing to pay him anywhere near what he is seeking, which seems to increase with every new report.
  11. Do we know if Dion was at the wedding? Didn't see him in any of the pictures, although very few pictures seem to be out from the wedding.
  12. Antoine Winfield because he was so effective at playing the pass and the run. I remember that he was plug and play as a first year player at a very high level. One of the most reliable tacklers as a CB that I have seen. Well thought of during his career with the Bills, but he was much better than that.
  13. Of course none of us want this to be a distraction to the team or have any kind of an impact on the goals of having a great season and winning the Super Bowl, but as a fan, I am excited to get to see the players, coaches and management of this team in this way (i.e., seeing what is behind the curtain). Given the overall focus of our front office and coaches on acquiring players with character and leadership qualities, I expect that the players will show to be professional and likable. I also hope that what appears to be a strong team culture will be evident from this season of Hard Knocks and elevate the general interest in the Bills (both in terms of more fans and player interest in being a part of it).
  14. Coleman will have this year to show improvement. If he doesn't, I expect Beane will be looking to draft a WR early in next year's draft given the cost of top WRs in free agency (assuming any even would be available).
