I just watched the Ravens highlights from last week and wasn’t super impressed by Lamar passing. At least from a passing perspective he didn’t seem on Allen’s level (but maybe he doesn’t need to be because his running is such a threat). One of his passing TDs was one of those Mahomes underhand throws at the goal line. One was actually kind of underthrown into double coverage, but Mark Andrews did a good job high pointing the ball. I guess defenders always have to have him taking off in the back of their heads, so his passing doesn’t have to be as crisp to be successful.

Burrow looks like he read his own press clippings a bit too much this past offseason.

NFC stinks, Giants might be in position for the wild card. Why would they trade one of their best players?

Tua looked messed up, hope he’s okay

Credit to McDaniels, he’s created an offense where Tua doesn’t have to go through a progression or stand in the pocket at all. Just a little bit of indirection and hit the first read.

If he keeps this up, Beane will look like a genius. That kind of pass rush production is usually a top 3 pick. Obviously having Von Miller draw some attention helps as well. For comparison Bradley Chubb was drafted 5th overall, played opposite Von Miller and had 7.5 sacks in his third season (2nd full season played). Baby Groot already has 3.5 in 3 games (on pace for 20).

The way they are winning games isn’t sustainable. Their defense bleeds huge yards every week, and Tua has looked pedestrian in all of his games except for 1.5 quarters. I guess we’ll see, but I don’t buy it. Also interested to see how their rookie head coach adjusts in the middle of the season. He has one year of experience as an OC, and now he’s a HC.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Miami misses the playoffs. I just don’t buy the hype.

If Jones could just have a smidge more pocket awareness he’d be pretty good. His o-line and RBs who were supposed to chip pass rushers did him no favors. Also the receiver fell coming out of his cut on that final pick. Not much Jones can do there (though the pass was kind of low).

Will multiple players leave the game for “cold illness”. If you can’t tell the difference then I don’t know what to tell you. The heat is more dangerous than the cold and provides a bigger advantage when only one team gets to be in the shade. Bills were down half of their starters by the end of the game. Allen was throwing to Gilliam, Morris and a visibly hobbled Gabe Davis by the end. There were also no more backup o-lineman left. Idk what we would have done if another one had to leave the game. Play a TE at tackle?

Dolphins are going to get smoked next week. Short week after that exhausting effort? It isn’t going to be close.
