Meanwhile over in Bengal land, there is weeping and gnashing of teeth
DapperCam replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Burrow couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn today. He looked really bad. Much worse than the slow start last year. At least last year he was pushing it downfield. He just had too many turnovers. This version of Burrow doesn’t look like he can confidently complete a pass. I kind of wonder if the injury is bothering him. -
Everyone saying he was clearly short as if the camera is a perfect shot down the line. It’s off by a little bit you can tell. People are bad at angles.
-
That’s crazy, if he was short it was by 4 inches. How can they call that?
-
No way they can overturn this. I think he actually got it anyway.
-
Can’t say I have much confidence in Mac Jones here.
-
Helmet-to-helmet, but impossible for the defender to avoid that. Waddle literally flying through the air.
-
Pats have no offense. Can’t win with 3 points.
-
Yea, but I just don’t think it is particularly difficult. For example I think Jimmy G could run it with similar effectiveness, and nobody is claiming he is a top 5 QB.
-
I’m just jealous because I can’t remember Allen tossed it behind the LOS of scrimmage and got 30 yards. Has it ever happened? Tua is an accurate passer, but so is Mac Jones. He benefits very much by being with two #1 WRs and a creative OC. I actually hope he continues to ball out and force MIA to pay him. They will regret it.
-
Elite Tua with the throw behind the LOS for like 30 yards
-
Try catching with two hands young man
-
I’m having memories to the Dolphins prime time game last year where Tua got messed up so bad his fingers were all twisted. I can’t believe he played after that. Hoping for 4 interceptions for each QB, and no stretchers this game.
-
Even in this game a lot of runs were getting 2 yards, especially on early downs it felt like. They stuck with it, which is smart IMO. It does a few things even if it isn’t productive: - Defensive line can’t just pin back their ears and rush Allen, they have to respect the run. We ran at Crosby. - Play action even more effective - Time of possession battle. Maybe less important against Jimmy G, but against great offenses we may want to shorten the game and give them less possessions. - Wear down the defense late in the game. No way the Raiders weren’t sucking air at the end there.
-
I mean, I can come up with a few: - Allen still taking an unnecessary hit well after the first down. - Red zone offense felt disjointed. They did convert to TDs, but relied on 4th down conversions. - Poyer, Hyde and White all looked slow at times. We need to figure something out against Miami’s speedy WRs - Aggressive defensive play calling made us vulnerable to screens. Adams took one to the house. - ??? Okay, I’m all out Still a completely dominant win, I expect a similar result next week!
-
Burrow just threw a TD, but man he looks terrible.
-
Why did Rapp try to kill Adams? Also, why are the Raiders throwing it up like that?
-
They can get consistent pressure without blitzing.
-
With Jimmy G and Jacobs, the Raiders aren’t built to play from behind. Once the Bills got a 2 score lead they were cooked.
-
Mahomes would have stat padded with an underhand shovel “pass”
-
Let’s line Milano up at TE
-
He was our best last season too
-
This game is best case scenario. Proving to the players and everybody that we can dink and dunk. No need to take unnecessary risks unless the big play is actually there.
-
It happens multiple times every game when the ball carrier is running up the field like that. They called it because he’s a QB.
-
I think Shakir could replace Davis next year.
-
Don’t really understand that unnecessary roughness. Isn’t Allen a ball carrier? They wouldn’t have called that if a RB had the ball there. Wish Allen would get the first down and slide.
