Don’t think he even held him, just looked bad if you only saw from a certain angle. -

Rams should dare Burrow to throw intermediate/deep. Not sure he can right now. -

Can’t stand these tackles jumping way early. Refs need to call this BS. -

Especially since the Eagles are much better than the Bucs. They just need to score points and not make mistakes and they will win. I can see it if you think you are worse than the other team, or that you will need to trade TDs all day. -

Over-reaction Three Weeks In.... Offense seems disjointed

The context was if Gabe Davis is a good #2 WR. I would argue no. Even in a blowout he had 1 reception on 4 targets. Not really a good game from him IMO. -

To my eyes Davis didn’t high point what should have been a TD throw, didn’t track the ball to break up an INT, and had another killer drop in the game which should have been a first down. Bad things seem to disproportionately happen when targeting Davis going back to last season. -

The offense should be able to consistently move down the field without Allen heroics. We saw that in the Raiders game, but not the Commanders game. He had to scramble around and do all sorts nonsense on third and long. The optimist in me says that they are trying a lot of new things that are different than last year, and they are in the progress of figuring it out. Even while disjointed they are a top 5 offense in the league. -
Obviously I meant in intermediate/deep passes to the outside which was my initial point. But please, intentionally misinterpret my comment.

Have you? He only throws floaters to the outside or on busted coverage. This Miami offense is beatable (despite the pathetic display the Broncos put on).

Stopping the Miami Offense (and Tua the wizard) - Lets hear the ideas.

I watched the snow game highlights from last year just now and Hamlin was slow to react, or behind the play in all of Miami’s big plays (Waddle big TD, Hill big TD, Mostert big run). Hopefully having our starting safeties healthy back there, if not long in the tooth, will help a lot. -

Just don’t let them take big plays to the house. No 30+ yard TDs running or passing. Force them to go the full length of the field and try to hold them to FGs. Their speed isn’t as effective once the field is compressed in the red zone. Tackling and not overcommitting is going to be super important. Discipline! Then on the flip side we need TDs and not FGs. Should be a good one. I’m going to watch the snow game highlights from last year to get hyped. -
Diggs was the key

Tua can’t throw to the boundary. Clog the middle of the field, don’t give up the big play. He was Tua Turntheballovah not that long ago.
-
What was up with that tripping penalty? I saw literally nothing and the announcers were going along with it like it was a clear penalty.
-
Gabe Davis has some good moments, but I can’t help but feel like he hurts more than he helps in the passing game. I do know that he’s a good run blocker, so maybe that tips the scales.

Offensive line play pretty bad that drive. No run blocking and constant pressure given up. -

I think you are correct, and I’ve noticed the same thing in the NHL. My personal theory is that there has been such an increase in money that it’s changed who is in the league and what their motivations are. Mid-low level roster guys in the NFL weren’t paid that much even in the 90s and definitely in the 70s/80s. You had to really enjoy bashing into people back then to stick around. It attracted a certain type of person. Now you can be a middle of the road journeyman linebacker and make generational wealth. I still enjoy it, but it’s just different.

I’ve read that playing through calf problems can lead to Achilles problems. Hope that doesn’t happen to Joe Cool.

He had some legal problems and his subordinates had legal problems while he was a coach at Colorado. He doesn’t seem like the most disciplined guy. Also, I think there was a thought Reid was the brains behind the Chiefs offense. We know Reid called the plays. If Bieniemy can make the Commanders’ offense respectable then he’ll land a HC job somewhere.
