We have a great pass offense because Allen is so great. The scheme and supporting cast could absolutely make it easier on him. We have basically none of the screens, slants and little hooks that other teams run which are easy pitch and catch plays for the QB. Instead everything is down field, slowly developing and requires Allen to be a superhero.
The running game with RBs could help a lot. We saw some of that last week, I hope it continues.
Wait...what was the play call? The fumble was between the center-QB exchange. We never even saw the play. Are you saying it should have been a shotgun snap?
I would love to go to the AFC championship game if it is at home. That experience would be more special than the Super Bowl itself IMO. I wonder how much AFC championship game tickets go for...
That pick play at the goal line is basically unguardable. The WR chips the LB trying to get over to cover the RB and it’s an easy walk in. Why don’t we run that play?
I mean, I think Mahomes pretty much has it in the bag as well, but he just threw 3 picks against one of those remaining teams which is a top 5 defense. They could negatively impact his stock. Things also get weird after head coaches get fired. Teams come out extra motivated sometimes (maybe because of embarrassment).
True, but a 1 yard pass has a higher chance of being completed and a lower chance of being a turnover than a 10 yard pass. That is the allure. Same yards gained, less risk.
He had a hit in the GB game right at the beginning of the second half where a giant lineman landed directly on top of him out of bounds. I thought maybe ribs or something. We’ll probably never know.
He self-reported symptoms to the team doctors the next day. Credit to him for that.
I would, and I’m kind of annoyed the Bills haven’t given us a more solid backup C option considering his injury history.
Seems like every other game Allen has a similar hit where the back of his head smacks the turf in a similar manner. Makes me nervous for him. I know different people have different susceptibility to concussions. Tua seems very susceptible.
I always wonder if Allen got one in the second half of the Green Bay game. Dude went from looking like the best player in the NFL to just average or below average for a few weeks. I know these guys try to play through anything.
It’s kind of crazy how tight the AFC is for the wild card. Jets, Steelers, Jags, Titans, Pats, Chargers and Dolphins could finish at 9-8.
Dolphins could be out of a playoff spot after next week. Go Karen Rodgers!
