Provide you(r) own Hot Take Monday [edit]

Hot take - even if Frasier and Daboll get HC positions it’ll be a long time before I’m comfortable again with McDermott being our head coach. -
Provide you(r) own Hot Take Monday [edit]

For goodness sake, stop being rational - this is not the time to be rational! -
Yeah, agreed. Don’t get me wrong, it’s fine for the OP to ask (and I presume is someone linked to the Chiefs looking for legitimate feedback?) but the atmosphere at Arrowhead is probably not high on our list of priories at the moment. People are salty, tense and grouchy so letting off at something like this is always going to happen, even though the thread can just be ignored. But who knows, by responding it’ll keep the thread near the top and maybe someone will be in the mood to answer the questions.

When does this feeling pass? I don’t feel like my foul mood is going to lift at the moment.

Thank you Two Bills Drive. We need you now more than ever.

Agreed. I know some of my posts over the past eight hours have been hot takes and over the top but I need the release and the community has been great on not railing on them too bad, understanding the situation. At the moment I’m at the stage of Go (away) Bills - excluding Josh and Gabe. -
Fix the OT Rule for Playoff Games--That was Stupid
UKBillFan replied to Nextmanup's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, and tried to change them - the other franchises voted it down. Someone said that the Bills voted against the proposal; if so we reap what we’ve sown. -
As, to put it bluntly, we actually made it very easy for him. He carved through our defense like a knife through butter but I don’t think he needed to bring his A Game to do so. There were three drives, IIRC, where we managed to stop him but otherwise too much blown coverage and easy downs. This isn’t a post about how he isn’t as good as Josh etc. as he clearly is, I just think we made life simple yesterday for him and that’s what hurts. The 13-second play was as much about horrific defense as it was superb offense.

What position does that give us on the draft?

Feels like we’ll never be the 32. -
Honestly what do you do moving forward?
UKBillFan replied to Milanos Milano's topic in The Stadium Wall
OK, but they might have beaten us in regulation had they not been suffering with injuries at secondary. -
How many chances does McDermott have left?
UKBillFan replied to Igotbills's topic in The Stadium Wall
As well as 0-6 in close games we only won three games against play off sides this year, and two of those were against the Pats. Otherwise in our (overall) 12-7 season, five of the defeats came against play off sides. We’re flat track bullies who cannot turn the screw when it matters - and that comes down to coaching. McDermott should stay, despite my emotional side not caring if I wake up tomorrow to find out he’s left, but he needs to learn fast. -
Jordan's Bulls lost to the Pistons twice in the playoffs

I think being blown out would have hurt less and resulted in justified anger rather than lashing out in upset. -
We’ll presumably pick before the Titans, Packers and Bucs due to respective records so we’ll be in at 25?

We were missing one CB - how many players were KC missing in secondary? And we still lost. -
This year was it. First our regular season schedule was pretty decent in terms of ‘easiness’, then the Colts and Chargers bowed out in week eighteen, lining up a better match up against the Pats, followed by the Bengals beating Derrick Henry’s Titans, the Packers and the Bucs bowing out… sorry, it was our chance and we blew it. We gifted it to Mahomes and KC. I doubt things will fall into play so readily next season.
-
We were a season or two behind the Chiefs last year too. All we’re getting is the same reasoning as last year after the same result - a defeat.
-
Josh could very easily be another Jim Kelly - a great ambassador and a fantastic QB but nothing to show for it.
-
That’s (probably) the case this year but with Burrow and Herbert developing plus Wilson floating around it won’t necessarily be the case moving forward.
-
It’s more, no matter what we do, no matter who we have, we always find a way to lose.

FAs will be lining up to go to KC to play with Mahomes. We’ll be second choice if they don’t want them. -
I wish I could believe you. It just feels like we’ll always be the bridesmaids (at best) and never the bride.

Difference is the Chiefs lost then came back at won (I’ll be amazed if they don’t win the SB this year). We lost and lost again. They learn, we don’t. Same old crap from the same old franchise. -
OK, I’ll believe it when I see it because in all likelihood we’ll #### it up. Just as always.

Other than Josh (and Gabe) there’s nothing positive to take from tonight.
