  1. On the INT, why didn’t he throw to the free guy on the 40? Just didn’t read the field quick enough, but very much in the moment. Stunning game, otherwise.
  2. If both teams play at 100% we beat them. Any slip from us and they’re more than good enough to defeat us. We won’t get away with four turnovers and a busted punt against them.
  3. But my point is relying on one running back means he can be taken out of the game. Having another, able one, would open up other options. Mattison AND Singletary, rather than Mattison OR Singletary. Maybe Cook will eventually fulfil that role but he didn’t have the best of starts.
  4. There’s no point switching one for one - we need a someone to compliment Singletary. We’re not finding anyone better than Singletary as our second option.
  5. Interesting to hear him speak from a tactical point of view. I think, at our best, the issue defenses have is nothing will work - we can dink and dunk, and we can work the explosive plays. If we can get a second running back consistently working alongside Singletary (not Josh) we’ll have a complete arsenal to throw at teams.
  6. Be fair, we have a running thread on Josh, um, running and an in-depth discussion on who was at fault for the second interception where blame must surely be laid completely at the feet of Josh or Crowder, rather than maybe sharing it, or saying Hill made a good play. Now on to the next error.
  7. It’s something of a sliding doors moment. Would Brady have grown so quickly as a QB anywhere but the Pats? Would Josh have developed the way he has away from the Bills? Would Mayfield had taken greater strides at another franchise? Same with all players, I guess.
  8. If Jackson stopped running he'd (potentially) be a mediocre passing quarterback and the Ravens would struggle to make the post season. If Josh stopped running he'd still be an elite passing quaterback and we'd still expect to go far. That's not to say Josh should stop running, just there's a time and a place. Albeit, watching the game back, I don't think there were many issues with Josh's runs yesterday. The one in the third where he got wishboned was hideous, though.
  9. Thanks to the Josh's Blue Cheese call, I read the thread title as "Are you concerned about Edam?"
  10. This was queried at the eight minute mark - Sean responded that Josh should not be running in the fourth quarter scenario and, as coaches, they should be doing better.
  11. I don't thinkm anyone has issues with Josh taking off if he can see space, or scrambling if required, or stiff-arming opposition defensive players. But not when we lead by three scores in the fourth quarter.
  12. It's the main game over here. If we had lost yesterday I would have struggled to watching it. Now I'm looking forward to it - as long as one side doesn't blow out the other.
  13. It's more if the Browns had taken the trade then we supposedly would not have been able to draft Josh.
  14. I honestly wonder if someone like Von Miller might have more of an impact with Josh than the coaching team - a player that has done it all, led the team defensively yesterday and has so much skill and experience, I can imagine him Josh respecting him and listening to him. Plus Miller can explain the dirty tricks defenses might get up to to hinder a QB's game. The issue is I can see Josh appreciating that view off the field, and saying to himself he won't put himself in those positions so much in the game, but I think something takes over when he crosses the white line, where he wants to pound, grind and compete for the full four quarters. He sees the specific down and nothing else, not the long term picture. If we could change that mentality, would we want to? And would it improve him as a player or actually affect him unduly?
  15. Except I think the records show two interceptions? Two interceptions, two fumbles and a bad kick off.
  16. Yes, we need to reduce the sloppiness in offense. Yes, Josh’s runs need to be a case of quantity not quality. But read other forums and the majority are full of praise for the Bills tonight. Plus it’s nice to have something to work on; no team wins the Super Bowl in week one. For now, enjoy the win.
  17. Haven’t mentioned Von Miller yet but he is an absolute steal - and seemed to boost the rest of the Defense with his sheer presence. A magnificent player and a brilliant, much needed, signing.
  18. Again, apologies if already posted but the thread's moving fast.
  19. Josh's stats for tonight: 26 for 31 (completion percentage of 83.9%) 297 passing yards / 47 rush yards Average passing yardage of 9.6 3 passing TDs plus 1 rush TD 2 Interceptions (which is harsh; only one was possibly his fault) 112.0 passer rating
  20. Sorry if already posted but made me laugh.
  21. It's been a sad day here, so thank you Bills for putting on a (mistake ridden) clinic. An infuriatingly superb performance.
  22. Naturally. The broadcasters asked him to do it to promote NFL Buzz.
  23. Come on D - restrict them to at least a Field Goal.
