Chief Fans Make Donations to Childrens Hospital
UKBillFan replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
I had a bit of a reaction to the snark yesterday but the game is starting to sink now. Credit to them - Chiefs fans had absolutely no reason to donate to Josh Allen’s charity yet they decided to do so. Massive credit to them. -
The praise from elsewhere is nothing but words, and empty ones at that. Pointless and meaningless. So what? We played on the greatest game ever and have nothing to show for it because yet again we decide to balls (bills?) it up in the dying seconds via horrible defensive play. This was our moment, everything was falling into place from the results of week 17 onwards (except perhaps the Bengals losing), unlike last year in the AFCCG our offense and Josh were on fire and yet again it wasn’t enough. All the platitudes, praise, ‘greatest game ever’ plaudits - the fact is we didn’t do enough.

Apologies if there is a thread on this - Chiefs fans are commemorating the Play Off win over the Bills by donating money to Josh Allen’s chosen charity, The Patricia Allen. A noble and kind gesture, but did they have to take the mick by choosing to donate $13??? https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/chiefs-fans-donate-bills-josh-allen-charity/1g2wzbhzovg3n1lfpsitvcc8o2

It was more of a flippant comment - that just seems to be under the franchise under different coaches and different players; we lose key games, move on.
-
We lost - get over it and move on. Feels like the Buffalo motto in key games!

Agreed. Bully for him he got to broadcast what he thought was a great game. For me it was anything but.

Booked off work to watch the Super Bowl. Now contemplating cancelling the leave.

How many chances does McDermott have left?

Yet we had a nice schedule this year yet failed to make the number one seed. We saw the Chargers and Colts fall to the wayside in week 17 (both bad match ups for us), followed by the Packers and the Bucs. Everything was aligning for a run at the SB despite our poor performances in the regular season and yet, again, we failed to get over the line. -
Of course they're going to say it, but with Mahomes around I'm not sure if Josh can be called the best quarterback in the NFL. Two SB appearances later and we can revisit it. (Yes, still irrational, yes, Mahomes probably has a better team around him... urgh. When will I stop taking every comment badly?)

It was a hard loss AND we closed the gap

We're level with the Chiefs yet still managed to lose when it mattered. -
And Josh and Gabe are better than KC's defense. As Kelce said, it was all about the coin toss.

I guess I like words from other fans in circumstances like this; I'm so low at the moment a bit of rationality from non-Bills fans is a bit of a tonic.

Isaiah McKenzie aka, Lil Dirty, sounds like he’s moving on

A mistake on our part. -
Still irrational, still fuming about yesterday. I don't care about how it was a great game. I don't care Chiefs fans were coming up to Bills supporters afterwards giving credit. I don't care that media pundits have finally woken up to what a talent Josh Allen is. I don't care that we're getting positive comment after positive comment. Words are empty and mean nothing. Whether we lost i OT or blown out 42-0, it's the same outcome. I thought it'd I feel better by now. It's going to take a long long time to.
