The offense - well, actually the play calling - deserves some criticism though. Our defense was shattered, especially in the second half, and we turned it around too quickly. All the times we ran.

If we could defend then Josh may have had a chance, but that was seemingly beneath us tonight.

We said that last year. Truth is we've been poor for much of this year. I thought we'd go out in the Divisional game at best and we have. We've regressed - last year we at least made the Championship game. Maybe it's the heat of the moment talking but we're no nearer winning the SB now than we were 12 months ago. If anything we're even further back.

Other than the Jags (for bad reason) and the Pats in the Play Offs (for good), our best performances of the season have come away from home.

It hasn't been a great season. Agree with can't wait for next season. Can't stand the smoke which will be blown up Mahomes and Burrow over the next week but, although Josh has played well in general, Mahomes has been better tonight.

There's no shame in losing to the Chiefs, no. The Jags? The Steelers at home? The struggles against the Pats? We could have had the number one seed and not faced KC at Arrowhead. But guess every team has their "if only's".

I guess, to be fair, we held them to a 50 yard FG attempt this time around. And we stopped them on their second series. If we can hold them to a FG or less to start the second half we won't be in a bad place.
