I don’t think he’s reverting back to anything. I think that’s who he is - a phenomenal quarterback who has a precedence to force things when the going gets tough because he takes everything on his back in those situations. Whether we saw that at the weekend though is debatable for me. My thought, with head over emotion, is what else could he have done in that situation? Saying that, the Josh for swathes of the 2021 regular season won’t just go away; the best thing will be that side of him will raise it’s head less and less as time goes on and he gains more experience. Or perhaps if and when we get an properly effective OL. I wouldn’t change him for anything. For me he’s the best QB in the league with Mahomes a close second and, fingers crossed, will be with us for years.

I think that was the most concerning thing for me on Sunday (other than the mounting injuries) - that Josh seemed to return to Sugar High. But in truth is that a surprise? He’s had four strong games in a row, but showed signs of this through the regular season last year. However, on the flip side, can anyone blame him for what happened at the Dolphins considering the OL he was behind and, by the second half, he basically had no one to work with?

I have to defend Virgil due to the time it was posted. Yes, harsh on Josh, but the play which would have stood out when posting straight after the game - and acting on raw emotion - is the grounded throw to McKenzie, which is one he would have made 99 times out of 100, rather than him taking us up and down the field and dominating the TOP to the benefit of the defense.

I agree, the defeat wasn't on the defense's performance on the field. I do think we play called to keep the offense out there as long as possible to protect the defense, though - to the point where they were mentally and physically exhausted, unable to perform to the best of their ability.

Yes, that's pretty astounding. No DPI or Holding on 63 passing plays? Remarkable. Would love to know the record of passes without any defensive penalties. Of course, I'm sure it was all above board and the Dolphins didn't get away with anything...

Record is 14-1 in our favour in terms of multiple score games but 0-7 when it comes to one score games. We just need to be able to get over the line more than once in eight. The 2020 season was good in this respect, so not sure why things haven't fallen in our favour. I disregard everything I said in the opening post as an over-emotional stupid outburst except this. When it gets close, we need to get over the line more often.

How is too many injuries could result in the season being at risk a hot take? Bearing in mind I posted this when every twitter update seemed to be someone else being injured (Benford, Bates and Doyle in quick succession).

Think that’s why, I’m the cold light of day, I’d point the finger more at Bass and Milano than the offensive players, due to less time on the field.

Holding it against a lot of the starters. I think that's the worse thing; if we lost because of a back up error it'd be more understandable. But... - Josh's poor throw - McKenzie not getting out of bounds - Diggs drop - Davis drop - Bass field goal miss - Milano's drop on a potential pick six And if just Josh's throw had made it to McKenzie, or Bass had made the field goal, or if Milano had made the pixk six, and all other things remained equal we would have one. Just one. That's the most galling thing. Of course it's not down to Josh we lost. But too many simple mistakes were made to win.

Other than Brandt briefly mentioning us being 'gassed', no reference to the fact Tua was facing a reserve secondary for the second week in a row and the O Line checked out in the fourth quarter, creating issues with production. At least they didn't say the Dolphins are complete but very poor otherwise.
