  1. I thought they could include him in the current 53 but if he makes opening weekend then the full annual salary is guaranteed?
  2. Perhaps a play off chasing team then - if Tannehill or Ryan picks up an injury, for example.
  3. "Case Keenum will be starting as Quarterback at the Rams because Josh Allen is still trying to complete the ping pong challenge"
  4. I reckon so, because his guaranteed salary doesn't kick in until September, and they'll probably do something with IR to keep the players they want. They'll ask him to renegotiate his contract long term if they keep him as back up; if he refuses then I imagine they'll cut him before the guarantee date, whilst hoping a QB goes down at a Super Bowl chasing team in the mean time.
  5. According to Rappaport, Garoppolo doesn't want to go there - perhaps due to leftover loyalty to the 49ers. Not like he has got many other options though; presume he'll (and the 49ers) will wait until a QB goes down.
  6. Agreed. I wonder if we may wait until Thursday or Friday before signing someone, if we run another trial day on Wednesday with those cut who we're interested in - see how they work holding for Bass etc.
  7. Thanks. I bet the 49ers would love to trade Garoppolo to prevent him from ending up at the Seahawks.
  8. Male pattern baldness?
  9. I agree. But the question is, if we are looking at someone to flip the field, who are the best options available? Are there any options available?
  10. Ignore the issues, the franchise at the draft turned round and draft a big legged punter.
  11. In or out? In terms of in, I don't think we need anyone other than a punter who we'll pick up via free agency or waivers. In terms of out, I doubt teams will be looking to trade now - they'll want to see who we cut first.
  12. Isn't there a cap space reason why we won't sign him until either tomorrow after 4pm or Wednesday morning?
  13. Off Martin and Kern's stats... yes.
  14. Spent most of his career with the Lions; has only been with the Broncos for two seasons. Yard average with the Lions (2013-2018): 46 yards Yard average with Broncos (2020-2021): 47.1 yards Brett Kern's average is 46 yards across his career; with the Broncos, between 2008 and 2009, he averaged 46.4 yards.
  15. Go for whoever wants a better deal in terms of cap space between Kern and Martin. Going off the tweet, think it will be the former. Reckon that means the Broncos are in the Punter market as well, as I'm not sure if they'll want to go into the season with Corliss Waitman.
  16. More the reason to consider character above everything.
  17. Not sure what the agreement is between this site and the Buffalo News but wouldn't mind seeing all links to articles from it removed from the front page after the revelling in attacking the Bills.
  18. Just an belief floating around that we like left footed punters - our last three (Bojo? Haack and Araiza) have all been left footed.
  19. Love the idea of Kern. Someone from the area who would embrace the fans and culture straight away.
  20. Allegedly worse than a jerk. But it's all alleged at this point.
  21. How do you think those on free agency arrived there?
  22. And if it wasn’t for… that… happening, we wouldn’t really be chasing any position.
  23. Will we have to pay £2.5m for Kern if we pick him up after he’s been cut?
  24. Plus I’d argue it’s a stretch to say that we would have treated every player the same. Rookie punter - relatively decision. If something had come out about the college days of an established star? Far more difficult.
  25. Maybe average is harsh but down from the 2020 high in the regular season. Percentage passes completed down 6%, passing yards down by over 100, interceptions up by five. Of course, we then went into the post season where, as you say, the greatest back to back play off stretch in league history. If he takes the play off form into the upcoming regular season he’ll be shooting up the top 100 chart.
