  1. I'll take that kind of boring. I love that kind of boring.
  2. Me too. I know in three and a bit hours I won't be terrified. I'm hoping elation is the emotion which has taken over.
  3. The Colts was the only game where both sides of the ball let us down. With the Steelers, Jaguars and Patriots the offense let us down as the defense did (at least) fine. With the Buccaneers, Titans and Chiefs, the defense let us down as the offense did (at least) fine.
  4. Under McDermott: 2017: beat the Jets 21-12 2018: lost to the Ravens 47-3 2019: beat the Jets 17-16 2020: beat the Jets 27-17 2021: lost to the Steelers 23-16 If we win tonight it's the first time we've beaten someone other than the Jets in week one under McDermott.
  5. Vey nervous. Almost expecting us to go into week seven with a 2-5 record, before going on a run of at least nine out of ten wins. A victory tonight would perhaps ease my nerves to a degree (until 19th September, that is).
  6. We faced JAX too. Remind me how that went?
  7. In fairness, 50 of Mahomes’ passing yards came in OT when Josh didn’t have a chance to take the field. Deduct them and it’s 329 & 68 with 4TDs vs 328 & 69 with 2TDs and a rushing TD. There’s a reason so many say the game was the height of QB brilliance, and neither deserved to lose. With Josh, the key this year will be to maintain the superb plays whilst raising the floor from last season. Jacksonville, Indianapolis, to an extent Pittsburgh, Atlanta when he was a brilliant at running but struggled to pass… Hopefully we have improved the O Line and running game from others to help him out. Get his passing percentage completion back to 2020 levels and we should top the AFC, all other things being equal. He has the potential to be the best QB to ever play the game - the talent is there.
  8. Because the other option was a struggling Howard?
  9. Heck no - we're still the Bills, even if we're one of the Super Bowl favourites. Did it help us last year?
  10. Is that where I've been going wrong???
  11. I trust TBD posters more than I trust Google!
  12. Are the captains voted for by the players or chosen by the coaching team? Was there much said about Ferguson losing the role? Sorry for the questions!
  13. Playing pass protect in college is different to playing pass protect in the NFL. He has the mental ability to do it; he understand what he needs to do. Can he translate this against players who have better physical attributes and more experience? That won't be just a question for us but all rookies across the NFL. Hopefully he can.
  14. It feels like we're going into the season with more questions than we had a week ago, for some reason. They'll be answered one way or another on Thursday.
  15. As I tend to know what's going to happen before it does, it doesn't usually affect me, but perhaps I should try it. 😅
  16. They'll have to work out whether Michigan are fantastic or Colorado dreadful.
  17. I can really sympathise with Kim. Sad fact, my feed for the Bills is slightly behind for the televised games so, if I read something bad is going to happen on here, I quickly turn off. If I didn’t see it, it didn’t happen. If I’m watching a replay, and I know we’ve won, I’m not so fussed.
  18. I don’t think the Rams beating us would be that much of an upset? Not doing us down, but they’re the Super Bowl winners, with a strong roster, at home. Not sure what the odds say at the moment but a Rams win wouldn’t shock me at all, even though it wouldn’t mean anything for the season in the long term.
  19. Agreed - if you make it a quadruple or switch the RB for a TE and include Knox then it’s a different proposition.
  20. Nope, no metric system, it’s me being awful at maths at 1am. 😁
  21. In what is surely not a shock to anyone, Marquis Stevenson to IR to make way for Sam Martin’s arrival.
