  1. Dolphins got fortunate there.
  2. In fairness, we went for a lot of dink, dunk and run in the first half on Thursday. The difference is we know we have the deep ball when we want to use it. The Patriots and the Dolphins? Not so sure.
  3. Not predominantly as a QB though; they're now using him as a TE. ETA - Well... I said predominantly!
  4. That was a dreadful error from the Patriots OL.
  5. Have to wonder how much his knee injury from 2020 still bothers him to a degree. Ill discipline from the Patriots again.
  6. Week one also has an element of rustiness. I still think I dreamed Thursday night.
  7. True - that was a nice throw, though.
  8. Not many do have Josh's arm, in fairness! Are we allowed to say Tua overthrew or...?
  9. Though he should have got it, in fairness.
  10. Yep, that really should have been PI on Howard.
  11. Perhaps we should start recording hang time on QB throws?
  12. Not impressed with the Dolphins defense so far, albeit very much early days.
  13. Early game on Sky is Patriots at Dolphins and the late game is Vikings at Packers. Other than watch Red Zone have very little choice, but will catch up on some of the other games through the week. Results I want (assuming no ties..): Lions beat the Eagles 49ers beat the Bears Steelers beat the Bengals Dolphins beat the Patriots (though a very close game) Panthers beat the Browns Texans beat the Colts Sainst beat the Falcons Jets beat the Ravens Jaguars beat the Commanders Vikings beat the Packers Giants beat the Titans Raiders beat the Chargers Cardinals beat the Chiefs Cowboys beat the Buccaneers Seahawks beat the Broncos Some of those is down to teams I prefer over others, some down to certain players who I like to see well and others due to division or conference match up. Except I think the Ravens will be more of a long term threat than the Jets. I highly doubt the weekend will pan out as I want so I will seek solace in the Bills' victory. 😀
  14. The final play shown, the long touchdown to Diggs - Josh’s feet are not planted at point of release. He basically had very little support from his leg muscles; he was reliant on his arm and shoulder strength to get it that far. I shouldn’t be shocked yet still am.
  15. On the INT, why didn’t he throw to the free guy on the 40? Just didn’t read the field quick enough, but very much in the moment. Stunning game, otherwise.
  16. If both teams play at 100% we beat them. Any slip from us and they’re more than good enough to defeat us. We won’t get away with four turnovers and a busted punt against them.
  17. But my point is relying on one running back means he can be taken out of the game. Having another, able one, would open up other options. Mattison AND Singletary, rather than Mattison OR Singletary. Maybe Cook will eventually fulfil that role but he didn’t have the best of starts.
  18. There’s no point switching one for one - we need a someone to compliment Singletary. We’re not finding anyone better than Singletary as our second option.
  19. Interesting to hear him speak from a tactical point of view. I think, at our best, the issue defenses have is nothing will work - we can dink and dunk, and we can work the explosive plays. If we can get a second running back consistently working alongside Singletary (not Josh) we’ll have a complete arsenal to throw at teams.
  20. Be fair, we have a running thread on Josh, um, running and an in-depth discussion on who was at fault for the second interception where blame must surely be laid completely at the feet of Josh or Crowder, rather than maybe sharing it, or saying Hill made a good play. Now on to the next error.
  21. It’s something of a sliding doors moment. Would Brady have grown so quickly as a QB anywhere but the Pats? Would Josh have developed the way he has away from the Bills? Would Mayfield had taken greater strides at another franchise? Same with all players, I guess.
  22. If Jackson stopped running he'd (potentially) be a mediocre passing quarterback and the Ravens would struggle to make the post season. If Josh stopped running he'd still be an elite passing quaterback and we'd still expect to go far. That's not to say Josh should stop running, just there's a time and a place. Albeit, watching the game back, I don't think there were many issues with Josh's runs yesterday. The one in the third where he got wishboned was hideous, though.
  23. Thanks to the Josh's Blue Cheese call, I read the thread title as "Are you concerned about Edam?"
  24. This was queried at the eight minute mark - Sean responded that Josh should not be running in the fourth quarter scenario and, as coaches, they should be doing better.
