  1. Therefore the offense needed to do the same. What was the score at the point? 17-10? Burn the clock, dink and dunk, keep the defense off the field and getting a proper break. I think the final drive by the Jets was because the defense was gassed. We were down Hyde, Milano, Poyer, White and, for much of the second half, Rousseau. The almost fully fit offense needed to help them out.
  2. The offense’s chances? The defense got the ball back and we promptly returned it to the Jets.
  3. I’m more worried about what Josh is seeing and how he’s processing plays than his arm at the moment.
  4. If I was an opposition fan, the only concern I’d have is if Josh gets his act together. Until then, bring us on.
  5. Last week I assumed we were a bit surprised at the Packers approach and decided to let them get on with it. The biggest concern is how many tackles we’re missing.
  6. Then surely you spend as much time on the field of play as possible to burn the clock in a close game and not allow the Jets O back on the field?
  7. Despite my previous sarcastic comment, the defense was not the problem tonight. It was the offense. Mainly the QB.
  8. Well that’s nice. Then again, guess it’s never been exposed before…
  9. He’s not being used. More than once he was free and looking for the ball tonight, but Josh didn’t throw to him.
  10. The defense was shattered at that point. They needed the O to get points on the board, give them a cushion, spend time on the field to help them recover. Not keep being put out there because of boneheaded idiocy.
  11. Only one dud - Josh. Don’t throw simple picks, take what the defense gave him, and we would have won.
  12. We’re facing Dalvin Cook next week and Nick Chubb/Kareem Hunt the week after…
  13. THIS boggles me more than anything. Pre-bye he was excellent at taking what the defense was giving him, dinking and dunking, throwing to who was free. What’s changed?
  14. Don’t really care about Josh being MVP. The only thing is if he wins it, it means he’s being playing lights out. But the Super Bowl is more important. Over the last five quarters we look nowhere near it.
  15. Well we were playing the Jets.
  16. I thought we won one this season but McDermott took possession as he was concerned about the weather? At Baltimore?
  17. The defense was playing soft against the Packers because all we needed to do was not give away quick scores. Today we were down four key players - five once Rousseau went off. The offense is the big question but sadly it shows how reliant we are on Josh. When his game is off we have no one to pick up the slack. And his game has been off since the fourth quarter last week.
  18. Apologies, think I've blanked that final FG from my mind!
  19. We conceded 17 points without four key players. That isn't awful. This offense should be capable of scoring 18.
  20. Yes, the run defense was hideous. But it did not help that we were down four key players in Hyde, Milano, Poyer and White. And they were shattered by the end of the game because the offense didn't do enough to stay on it.
  21. Why was it 17-17 and not 20-10/24-10/27-10/31-10??? INT, INT, missed easy throw to Shakir/overthrowing Diggs, missed field goal (last one on Bass, not Josh, though the final two calls/executions on that drive were poor)
  22. He didn't need to be superman today to win. It was the basics that let him down; plays that you would expect rookies to make. Can we ask to NEVER have a week seven bye again?
