  1. I'm not sure how to write this thought. If Beane isn't the best or one of the best GM's in football I don't know who is! How many GM's have taken a 60 mill dead cap hit, flushed out an old core in a off-season, loaded up on kids and a few castoffs for depth and made the team better instead of back-sliding like so many other teams have done in similar circumstances? Add that over the last 3 years he altered his draft philosophy to add more weapons for Josh early in the draft, added more draft capital overall, and then executed a development plan for late round picks and UDFA that has resulted in Ingram, Lewis, Spector, Benford, T Johnson, Hamlin, Dane Jackson, Siran Neal, Shakir etc... Also outside of KC and the Rams, which teams on this list have won a super bowl in the last 5 years?
  2. Perfect response!!!! Who is going to trade for an oft injured player on a big contract? That's right no one will. They would have to see some film that he's healthy and playing well to even consider trading for him after the season. He isn't coming back until Dec at the earliest way after this year's deadline. So what does McD do when (if?) Milano returns this season. It depends. How well is Williams playing? Has he improved in pass coverage? Etc... My guess is Milano and Williams rotate depending on down, distance, and place on the field. Once Milano proves full healthy, he'll be the starter.
  3. About as accurate as Nick Wright or Colin Cowherd.
  4. Hollins - 6'4 221 (8th year in the NFL) MVS - 6'4 206 (7th year in the NFL) Coleman - 6'4 215 (rookie) Kincaid - 6'4 240 (2 year in the NFL) Tiny! Also no on Hopkins - I know people here can't help themselves, but retreads from other franchises is no longer the gameplan in Buffalo except in the depth roles and often not even then.
  5. Were these the same insiders who called Josh overrated? The Ravens ranked No. 1? LOL, about as valid as Lamar as MVP. Most wins the last 5 years (2019-2023) RS 1. Chiefs - 63 2. Bills - 58 3. GB & Balt - 56 5. SF - 54 6 Dal - 50 Looks to me like a much more accurate survey.
  6. Both went to Northwestern St.
  7. I was thinking Terrence McGee. Does Al Edwards count as a good player?
  8. Northwestern St (Louisana) - Good player!
  9. So where we exactly? St Mary's ? Tech? UB? Canada?
  10. Sure! How about Boston College
  11. Really? Jamie Mueller. I thought he was a really good FB. I'm surprised his career didn't last longer. NFL does stand for "Not For Long" for a reason I guess.
  12. Now name a new school.
  13. Actually you are supposed to name a player from the post prior. Not a player and his school. We need a player from the Citadel.
  14. Jamie Nails! Great name for a O-Lineman. Jackson St. ---> One of my favorite Bills is from this school. Sat next to him on a plane once. Biggest human I think I've ever met.
  15. Family friend, I had to get him on this thread.
  16. Bobby Trees didn't go to Occidental.
  17. Bob Chandler Occidental
  18. Seriously?
  19. Don't we play on Sunday night? Former 1st rd pick Derrick Borroughs comes to mind. Indiana University
  20. Lets face it, whether we win or lose this game it will be all about Lamar. If we lose the headline will be "Lamar gives MVP performance as Ravens hand Bills first loss." If we win the headline will be "Bills get win despite heroic effort from reigning MVP Lamar Jackson."
  21. Turns out the kid's agent isn't a licensed agent in Nevada or registered with the state. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/matthew-slukas-nil-fallout-with-unlv-raises-questions-about-agents-unregistered-status-in-nevada/ It gets even weirder. Apparently Blueprint Sports, which runs the NIL collective for UNLV and U of Nevada was founded by the current Secretary of State for the state of Nevada.
  22. What no love for the D-Line? Seriously? Even Casey Toohill had a sack. They are the key to this defense. Don't want to expose the young LBs, better successfully pressure the QB. Don't want QB scrambles, the D-line had better containing them. Stop the run game, the D-line better fill the gaps. All this has been happening. The Bills have allowed 1 rushing TD so far. Von and Groot have 3 sacks each and 5 guys have 1 each. Groot has 11 tackles.
  23. I always thought the line was designed (in theory) to get people to bet evenly between the two teams. Baltimore is at home with the 2 time MVP and the media had them as a pre-season SB contender. Had the been 2-1 heading into the game, Balt would likely be a 5 point favorite. I think if you ask a line maker in private who do you think will win, he/she would say Buffalo by at least a TD.
  24. The Crab in a carton in the cold section of Costco is very good and fairly priced.
  25. https://www.profootballnetwork.com/nfl-power-rankings-week-4-2024/ Maybe they need a new editor.
