Rational people understand that wins and losses have multifaceted causes and sometime the refs are a big part of that. It’s worth discussing, just like bad time out calls, etc.

I think the WR coach needs to be under fire, because Sherfield and Davis both made idiotic choices on potential touchdown throws. Davis is in a contract year, he obviously WANTS o be as good as he can be. You can see him owning the failure. Who is coaching these guys to mess up?

He made a textbook crisp catch with two hands, took two steps while tucking it into his body and had the ball punched out be a defender. What else do you need?

HERE IS A GUY who came into the league dealing with the adversity of a maybe questionable domestic violence arrest and all he has done is worked hard, showed patience, sign league minimum extensions and make splash plays against a historically bad Jets offense.

Several times a game, you can tell something was wrong (and correctable) within mere seconds. The solution might be having the head official upstairs and not on the field, so the call can come down fast and without discussion.

He has been great at falling forward and/or diving ahead to finish runs with an extra yard or two

Yeah he tried to get the crowd hyped after he had an unforced penalty. Dude has no discretion

Under 2 minutes in a half a defensive penalty should result in the clock being reset to the previous mark. At the very least, you should be able to decline the penalty and keep the time.

I getyou, it was a fumble maybe but probably an incompletion. Then, they announce a fourth down and then suddenly they’re lining up for 1st and 10 with no pause or explanation at all.

Yeah sort of and when I was 13 that may have worked, but these are grown ass men who’ve us thousand of reps at a high level and benching them for a mistake is a low level coaching move. You put your best guys out there no matter what. Bench Josh for his atrocious interceptions if that’s your coaching model.
