  1. So after 2 games and a new stat never mention before (we talking air yards nows...) now we can predict what a QBs career is going to be. Got it. That helps but you can just know how to move in the pocket and avoid rushes, you don't have to be Lamar Jackson, Mahomes, Allen, etc....
  2. He is a rookie learning to play in the NFL. Worry about it if he figures it out and the Bills haven't won a ring yet. (if this is what that all means) And if your team is built strong enough and you have a good coach, your QB doesn't need to be the best in the league or even top 5. Trent Dilfer Brad Johnson Eli Manning Joe Flacco Tom Brady (01) all not consider great QBs and won SBs. Brady in 01 was a game manager, no where near what he became. (i notice how that "game manager" title gets thrown around to discredit QBs) If they are 1st, 2nd year QBs you want to bring them along right, not screw them up for the rest of their careers. Even a Jimmy G and a Matt Ryan went to a SB. Matt Cassell went 11-5 with a strong team around him. It doesn't end all w the QB. It takes way more than having a great QB. if that was the case. Peyton, Rodgers and Brees would have a sh*t ton more.
  3. Easy answer. It comes down to the organizations getting the right coaching staff and having the right philosophy for their team (same as in any business) The pats were able to benefit from it early where as the rest of the division still had to find their way. You guys are definitely there now and if the Fins and the patriots can be competitive this division is gonna be fun to watch...A heart attack for us all as fans, but still some good back n forth football that will take place. No it would be a 3-way tie. Miami at 1-1 Bills at 1-1 And either pats or the jets at 1-1
  4. The shorter passes or the wheel route that Jones hit White on coming out the backfield?
  5. you mean like the JETs ha ha...i mean they had to go high in the draft for a QB twice, in a five year span!
  6. I hear what you are saying. I look at it more as they game plan to help the rookie along more because..he is a rookie, but he made 39 pass attempts(with a vary of different throws) and was put in situations (3rd and long) where that "just dinking and dunking" was not gonna do it. And don't get me wrong, i know you arent saying anything bad at all. I just think he look more like a QB that could last long in this league and he could handle the "regular" load most franchise QBs can handle once he is a season vet. I honestly think he will be able to handle being down 2 scores at some point this season and over come it. At some point.
  7. opposing fan thought: I wouldn't take too much from the Bills loss yesterday. The offense was just off. I woudn't expect Allen to play that bad next week. And i know we shouldnt make these kind of excuses for our team. But for me, the turning point was that pass inference called for the Steelers. That would of been 3 and out and stall their offense which still wasn't doing much at that point.
  8. He wasn't though, did you watch the game? He was in a few 3rd and long facing a miami blitz quite often and made great throws. In general there were a few strikes right up the middle over 20 yards and a couple strikes toward the side lines as well. You are the first person i heard say he was "dinking and dunking"
  9. Respect to your thread and fanbase, I am only coming in your game day thread this one time. To say .....have a great season bills fans! I truly do wish your team the best and I look forward to the back n forth when the pats play the bills Enjoy the season!!
  10. Interesting. Some Bills fans think they don't act like every other fan in America in every sports..... ha ha wow...
  11. Looks like someome needs to tell the nfl that because so far I haven't seen that asterisk... While you're starting that petition up you should get the NFL to update their websites n language... You seem like u got a lot to do, I would get on it soon so u don't miss any bills games..
  12. 1st off, I said "some fans" where does that group you into anything. If i need to say you, i would say you. 2nd I dont have to guarantee anything or be scared to say what i feel. None of it makes me less of a fan or makes anything I post less valid. Ok.
  13. It's untrue to say Brady, Manning..etc did not play in a "tough era" of football. The rule changes to QBs started in 06. They were already playing and winning then. That's the thing. To play as a QB in the NFL what matters most is that thing between your ears. The ability is a small part of the equation. As cerebral as Manning was...he didnt perform as great in the playoffs as he did in the regular season.
  14. It's all the same once you stop thinking as a "homer" (not directing that at you) I don't think Bills will go 11-6 either, I think their record will be better than that, but if not. 11-6 is not a bad record and they are still in the playoffs and would still be a threat to be in the SB.
  15. Is that what i did? "i dont think SD will be a problem...." some how that means i guaranteed something? And even if i did and they don't and? Some Bills fans think they are going to win the SB this year, and if they don't?
  16. If we are going to say "that was last year" then that applies to every game against every team this year, right? Yes i do. I don't think think SD will be a problem, BB in general has never had an issue beating any SD Chargers team. So we are going to go with the any given sunday logic, which is fine. So why we "mad" that SI has the bills at 11-6? Any given sunday right?
  17. He mentioned San Deigo could be them, I gave the score of last year's game with a worse lineup.
  18. They beat San Diego last season 45-0 w Cam Newton and the Covid lineup. Herbert had 2 picks, again that was with their Covid roster.
  19. You think when he goes into the HOF and is still consider the greatest coach of all time, they will put that on his headstone?...in fact you should start a petition.
  20. How often do you think BB is or will be completely honest with the media? Especially when it comes to matters about his team? Not saying he probably wasn't telling the truth. Just i take crap he says with a grain of salt.
  21. I would take your word for it. I would take your word for it. I never heard it or got the vibe..but then again a fan is gonna fan..I sure you guys know that from your own fan base
  22. I could see him being better than Jimmy G in practice n preseason games. Jimmy G was the type to perform better during real games.. But BB pretty much showed everyone what he thought of Stidham early. Picking up Newton late in the off season, the Chiefs game where Hoyer was God awful and BB still waited to late sec half to put Stidham in the game. Or the dozen times Newton didn't look good. Stidham still never really got in.
  23. What Patriot fan said this?? Stidham at one point last season was behind Newton and Hoyer. He barely ever saw the field last season. How could a Pats fans hype him if they never saw him!? I remember pats fans wanting him to play cause the thought was he had to be better than Newton and Hoyer ....
  24. I think he is intriguing to some because he is a Patriot now, if he was with another team nobody here would be focusing on him like that. (Not dissing anyone) Look at how many rookie QBs are starting this year and how many 2nd year QBs will be playing. To me Lawrence w Meyer is a more intriguing, Hurts, Tua, Burrow, Herbert etc..again I am not trying to crap on what topic people decide to talk about..just saying.
