  1. If the owners do not approve the selected candidate, yes, they can scuttle the process. I think this scenarios is highly unlikely.
  2. It's not nice to make fun of those of us with severe paranoia as a result of either "Buffalo Loser Syndrome" or excessive use of weed. :-)
  3. You make a good point, but I will side with the Coach on this. This team has been too often guilty of accepting inferior results. That attitude is infectious and it shows in their play. I am glad he is not coddling these guys and accepting poor effort and excuses like "training camp has been hard. Poor me!" Too bad. Suck it up or get out. It is the right message I think. The last thing this teams needs is one of their best players, Hughes in this case, deciding to lead an insurrection. Nip it in the bud.
  4. This guy has been grinding his axe for a while. I do not take his opinions seriously. As for the seemingly low numbers, if true, actually pretty well played by TP. Highest non-binding bid but not insane. Apparently the guy from Forbes does not realize that in a process like this, the first non-binding bid will always be low. For one thing, at that point the bidders had not seen the actual financials. For another, you do not put your best offer on the table to start a negotiation. The previously reported $1.3 b bid never made sense to me. I still believe this will go for more than $1B.
  5. This process is actually happening quite quickly and not dragging on. My own estimate before it started was 18 months, which would not have been unusual in a situation involving an estate. The Trust clearly prioritized a rapid process and is executing. It is anything but "circus" like despite what you and that Forbes writer think. The only thing circus like is the involvement of Trump, who is a circus in his own right, and that idiot Bon Jovi and his Canadian mates. The trust and their advisors are operating a well controlled and business like process.
  6. If this gets any play, his broadcasting career is over.
  7. If I was Pettine I would be more concerned about how lost Manziel looked out there than his immature gesture. There is no way he is capable of starting right now. This should be an easy call for Pettine, but who knows how much pressure he is under to play the kid.
  8. He does not owe you anything. I am sure he has his reasons for responding the way he did. Lighten up.
  9. I think that is certainly a factor, along with Urbik having taken a significant step backward last year from which he does not appear to have recovered.
  10. Wait - there is still more training camp? I was under the impression that the season was over based on the doom and gloom over the Steelers game. That's a relief.
  11. I am not understanding how you have come to the conclusion of this 'wide gap' between Trestmn and Marrone' with respect to the players. I don't see that. Perhaps you could elucidate.
  12. I doubt Sam Miller is anywhere near this team come cut down day, so who cares. As for Joe B, was that intended as some faint praise? I can't tell.
  13. The only place the potential trade of CJ Spiller exists is in the mind of some ESPN talking head who concluded that since the Bills have 4 Running backs they might look to trade Spiller. There is absolutely nothing behind it. Spiller is going nowhere, at least this year.
  14. Perhaps not. I have not been to the practices so I cannot really measure what he says. It just seems to me that his reporting on Manuel has taken on the characteristics of a "drumbeat". It has been clear for quite a while that he does not think highly of EJ and I think it clouds his observations. I do enjoy his reports by in large and like his All 22 breakdowns in season, but I think he is looking for negatives on Manuel as a rule. Just my impression. That said, perhaps EJ really did suck today, but I will wait for reporting other than Joe B and Rodak to come to that conclusion.
  15. I am not sure I take Joe B seriously anymore on his reporting of Manuel. He seems on a mission. Maybe not, but it seems that way. I have never taken Rodak seriously.
  16. Exactly. Hoyer is not going anywhere. Grossman is insurance and mentoring.
