  1. You make a good point. Graham at least approached it head on. Sully approached it like the weasel he is. The tone of the question he asked was arrogant and weasel like. To paraphrase the immortal words of Kyle Orton, "that was a crap question". Ten to one that Sully's next article will go out of his way to get even. He is that big a douche.
  2. I had no doubt about that before. It is interesting to note far down the pecking order they are in the Bills eyes by how long it took for them to get recognized. Just an observation.
  3. Pegula said yes, "by his choice". When Littman was speaking on Wednesday, he indicated he would be working for the Foundation, so staying with the Wilson family.
  4. So did the Colts win last night or did the Texans let it slip away?
  5. I am pretty sure that AP would be just as dumb whether he smokes weed or not.
  6. Well said. My favorite comment from Tate was that he would have grabbed Scwartz and thrown him to the ground if he did not know he would be fined. Really? I think I would like to see him try.
  7. Are you suggesting that Tommy Boy is experienced at controlling his gag reflex?
  8. I am tempted to take the Bills in the Suicide Pool this week. That's how confident I am. This is THE game that will propel this team to the next level.
  9. Beat me to it! Great post YOLO. Actually, I think 41-14 may not be far off, but NE will probably have a couple of field goals as well. 37 - 20 Bills.
  10. Amen. I have assumed so far that the reluctance to line up in more spread formations was to protect EJ. I am hoping that Hackett will be more aggressive with Orton. Running up the middle with either back from that power formation is simply not working with the subpar guard play they are getting. The running game will be much better out of the spread and the offensive will be more explosive. It was every time they used it against Detroit. It is definitely the way to attack the Pats.
  11. As would I, but that one was obvious. The ones that drive me crazy are the calls that have nothing to do with the play. A case in point was on a Detroit series, I believe the first of the half. The Bills stopped Detroit twice on that drive only to have holding penalties on the secondary. On the second one, Detroit ran what was obviously intended to be a swing pass to the back. Stafford never looked anywhere else, threw the ball rather quickly, and the Bills defended it properly. Suddenly, a holding flag comes in from the far side of the field. It was ticky tack to begin with, but clearly had nothing to do with the play. Drives me crazy.
  12. They actually have the Bills at 22, 5 spots behind the Dolphins. Probably the worst I have seen so far. Not that it matters - I just find it funny.
  13. What your comments and examples really illuminate is that after 5 games in the NFL it is way to early evaluate the the true value of this trade. Some will never be convinced it was worth it no matter what and you perhaps fit into that category. For me, it is looking better all the time and I am looking forward to seeing what he can do with a semi-competent QB. If Sammy continues on his current pace (75 receptions, 6 TDs, 900 yds) and the Bills end up drafting at 20 or below, it is a pretty good deal to me. I think he may actually surpass that now with Orton at QB. We will see. He is already the best WR on this team and it is not even close for second. By the way, even if you say "no offense", the use of the term "rose colored glasses" to describe a broad cross section of fans who happen to view things differently than you is kind of inherently offensive. Just saying. Go Bills.
  14. Yes, it does, but it sure makes kicking a 58 yard field goal easier!
  15. One reason I am very encouraged for this game is the similarity between Buffalo's offensive design and talent and that of Kansas City, who just took the Pats apart. Some might say that the Pats just played a bad game, but it looked more to me like KC out classed them on talent of their offense to the Pats defense, and the design of the offense took advantage of the mismatches that existed to perfection. If Orton can operate as efficiently as Smith did in that game (and I certainly think he can), The Bills could dominate this game. Their front seven will dominate the other way, and if we can get Brady behind, it could be lights out. This is a game that Hacket should definitely de-emphasize the power formations, with two tights ends or a fullback. They need to spread the relatively weak NE front seven out and attack. Bubble screens, slants, and swing passes will be there and so will running lanes. The Bills have the speed to nail these guys. If they react to this, its down the seam. This is the game to be more aggressive - the Patriots can be had.
  16. Thats because Miami has nicer weather and hot girls. You think they actually put any real thought into this? Despite the clueless comment, the ranking is just about right. Can't be ahead of the Pats until they beat them.
  17. For what it is worth, I was watching NFL Live this afternoon and they were doing one of today's frequent Patriots/Brady ball washing sessions. Merril Hoge was making a point about how Brady and the Pats did such a great job of selling run fakes to open up the passing game, with the OL even "firing off the ball" to simulate run. The clip he showed had the center 5 yards down field blocking when the pass was thrown, while the LG was 2 to 3 yards downfield engaged in a block. I guess that is "firing off the ball", but the only problem is that is supposed to be a penalty I believe. Guess its easier to "sell the run" when your OL is engaging blitzing LBs 3-5 yards past the line of scrimmage. Am I mistaken about this being a penalty, or is it just not a penalty for the Patriots?
  18. I do not read his columns because they are typically worthless and I think he is a childish turd. Happy to pile on the Sully bashing when I can though. You are right about being OK to question Wood's performance, but Sullivan does not add anything to the discussion. There are clearly many posters here who are more capable of evaluating OL play than he is, and I would rather hear from them. Wood was right to call him out as the coward he is.
  19. Cleveland came back from 25 down on the road to win yesterday against the Titans. This will be an emotional and tough game. (Unless of course Hoyer gets hurt and they have to play JFF) I agree that the Bills are capable of winning any of these games, but lots can happen over the course of seven weeks.
  20. I read multiple posts on this site last week that referred to the Bills as a "dumpster fire", "incompetent", and "dysfunctional" among like terms. Clearly, the Jets are the very definition of these terms. What a terrible team, with terrible leadership. Rex deserves to go, but their front office is completely incompetent.
  21. Agreed. Also, after listening to both Orton's and Watkin's post game PCs, clearly an issue in the accuracy of it was the quick rush in his face. What is very promising is that they were on the same page that the ball would be going his way. Watkins was expecting the throw and was able to adjust. There is no way that play gets made with EJ right now. I also think that as Watkins and Orton are able to work with other going forward, the accuracy on a play like that will get better as well.
