Reggie Ragland to have knee surgery; out for season
FLFan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are right - hardly a paragon of positive thought. As for Florio, as the saying goes, even a stopped clock is right twice a day, so I guess it's possible his opinion is accurate. -
AstroNotes2: Bills Camp Tuesday Night August 2
FLFan replied to Astrobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I long ago stopped paying attention to Joe B's training camp blow by blow QB evaluations. I seriously do not think he understands what he is looking at. -
I am not sure Wilder has any PS eligibility left. He seems to think not based on his comments. He has two full years there already. If so, I agree he is a good candidate. I agree that JW makes the roster before Gilislee.

Chris Hogan talks about why he wanted out of Buffalo
FLFan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, I read the article. Let's start with "I wanted out" and "I was complacent". Also, while Kryk was obviously painting a picture, let's not discount the smirk and eye roll comments. The fact is the Bills gave him an opportunity when no one else wanted him. I do not blame him for taking the money, but he come off in this article as a serious douche. By his own admission after last year, no he did not work hard. As he admits in this article, he was complacent. He is a dime a dozen player. They can and will easily replace his paltry production as a number 3/4 wide receiver. After reading this, Hogan was part of the problem in the locker room, not part of the solution. -
Chris Hogan talks about why he wanted out of Buffalo
FLFan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hogan can go f himself. The Bills gave him a chance in the league. Believed in him and gave him a solid role. He could at least be grateful for that. I do not wish him well, and I hope he gets his clock cleaned coming over the middle against the Bills. Sorry if that makes me a bad person, but really, what an ungrateful little wanker he is. -
Rams release Nick Foles--update signs with KC
FLFan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. There is absolutely no reason to expect he would be a better backup than EJ. Damaged goods in my opinion. -
Bills announce contract extension for Tyrod Taylor
FLFan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. I do not believe the Bills will offer anything approaching the Osweller deal. If they can sign him to a team friendly deal, why not. Otherwise, let it play out. -
Fitz calls his shot -Update Signed w/Jets
FLFan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That too bad. I was looking forward to a matchup with Geno and a guaranteed win. Now they will have to work for it. I still expect two wins against the Jets, just not as easy as it would have been with Geno under center. -

Yes. No question who I would rather have on my team. -
Nigel Bradham Arrested Following an Assault
FLFan replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You would think, but then again, "college educated" in the context of a football player at Florida State has a completely different meaning. -
RD 5, Pick 156: RB Jonathan Williams, Arkansas
FLFan replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yikes! After seeing this, I take back my previously posted opinion that they do not have enough to convict him of DUI. He is toast. -
Actually, it is nonsense. You are correct.

I will go on record now. There is no way that Jimmy G beats the Bills. And no, I do not feel the least bit bad about facing NE without Brady.

John Clayton predicts TT to sign with Denver in '17;Rex gone
FLFan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It never ceases to amaze me that Clayton actually gets paid to offer his opinions. -
Karlos Williams suspended 4 games for substance abuse
FLFan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Luckily for the Bills this is probably the deepest position on the team. It was very unlikely Karlos was going to be in game shape to start the season anyway. As for JW, people are assuming he will be suspended but I am not so sure. Without the blood alcohol test, it would be unlikely the DA would roll the dice in court on the officer's word to get a DUI conviction. They will probably end up plea bargaining this down to some sort of moving violation. He will probably have his license suspended or the test refusal, but no criminal conviction. Do they still suspend him for that? I doubt it. Even if, it is doubtful anything happens before the start of the season. If the Bills can avoid an early injury to Shady, none of this is a concern to me. -
A Look Back at the Stevie Johnson Trade
FLFan replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Are we analyzing the trade or just whining about past glory? In the past two years SJ has played in 23 games, gaining just over 900 yards and has 6 touchdowns. These are Chris Hogan like numbers. The Bills received a third round draft choice in 2015 for him, which turned out to be John Miller. Call me crazy, but I do not see how SJ is any better than the mix of receivers on the roster now. I would rather have Miller. As long as we are being nostalgic about the past, let's put the band back together and bring in Fitz and Gailey. SJ could post some numbers, but we would lose 10 games. Just like old times. -
Video Breakdown: Greg Roman's Run Concepts
FLFan replied to Cover 1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Very much agree. TT needs to show that he can make plays from the pocket consistently or he will be much easier to defend. We definitely saw this in the second half last year. If he can show that, the Bills will be a beast to defend. -
Joe B. "way too early" 53-man roster
FLFan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If he is ready, but I think he is a long shot to be ready to play. That was a horrific injury. I would not be surprised if he is essentially redshirted this season on IR. Has anyone heard a progress report on Easley? I do not recall one. -
Goodwin fails to make Olypmic team
FLFan replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tweaked his hamstring before the finals. He will not be in football shape when camp starts, and now will be nursing a hamstring. Very unlikely he makes the team. Time to move on. -

Thoughts on Why Bills Should Extend Gilmore NOW.
FLFan replied to rquinn619's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is a reasonable approach given the cost of contracts for top DB's, but the fly in that ointment is Taylor. If Taylor is not signed this year, you will want that franchise tag for him, assuming he performs. I am not sure they have the bucks to resign Taylor now, unless that can get Gilmore's cap number down some via extension. -
Bills' 2016 Organized Team Activities - Week 3
FLFan replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, the Patriots have lost games in the last 5 years, including to Doug Marrone who managed to hang on to squeak by the Pats B team in a meaningless game. I was pointing out that you would likely not find any, or certainly not many, coaches who have more than 4 wins against NE during Belicheats tenure. I am not suggesting it's great, only that it is as good as anyone has done. As for that half a decade, I could not care less other than his record as Bills coach. Right now that is 0&2, and needs to improve this year. -
Bills' 2016 Organized Team Activities - Week 3
FLFan replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow. Half a decade sounds like a really long time. So you know for a fact there are other specific NFL coaches with more than 4 wins against Belicheat? The graphic in this article would suggest otherwise. http://boston.suntimes.com/bos-sports/7/119/241572/graphic-shows-bill-belichicks-record-vs-every-nfl-team -
If either of these guys could provide an upgrade over Robey that would be big for the Bills D this year. I respect what Robey has done as much as the next guy, but the fact is he is often exploited in coverage. Without McKelvin, they need at least one of these corners to step up or it will be a long year. On another note, the Broncos could be in trouble with Talib. Even if he recovers from the gunshot wound, he may be headed for big legal trouble and potential suspension.
