  1. Where do you come up with this? Did you ever think that our run defense was so poor because of the linebackers? After offensive tackle, LB is our weakest postion. Take the best on the board, if it is McClain then take him, we need LBs very badly. McClain looks like an impact player. I would not complain if we got him at #9.
  2. Recognized on the All Time Bills Team. None are All Time AFL or NFL. James and Butler might have been had injuries not shortened their careeers.
  3. Cribbs better than Therman? what a laugh. Best Bills ever: 1. OJ - Voted Best Football Player of the 70's by SI. 2. Kelly - HoF 3. Bruce - HoF 4. Therman - HoF 5. Cookie - Insane talent, size and speed. 6. Andre - Future HoF 7. Billy Shaw - HoF and All Time AFL Team 8. Joe D - HoF 9. Tom Sestak - All time AFL Team
  4. Safe list also add Evans, Hangartner, Moorman, Lindell, Poz and Mitchel. I am not so sure that Whitner or Lynch will be gone.
  5. You must be joking. Our special teams have been tops in the league overall for 3 of the past 5 years. I like DeHaven, hoping he can keep it up. He has huge shoes to fill in Bobby April.
  6. Why not. He liked it here. He needs a job. We have good Special Teams now and most likely the new HC will give him players to work with, unlike Wade, who treated special teams as a lesser evil.
  7. I associate the hiring of Gregg Williams as the start of the decline of the Biulls. He was, and still is, a very smug SOB. He bragged about his #1 defense in Tennessee that still never won anything. He, with the help of TD, dismantled our team and changed the image for the worse. The TD era was a disaster and Greggo is a big part of that. He was a very poor HC. Worse than Jauron in my opinion. I seriously hope that Manning rips Greggo's Defense to shreds.
  8. Agree. Age today is much different that 20 years ago. Working is good for you. People retire and go back to work, many at least part time. I am 51 -- I run three times a week, and I lift 3 times a week. I can still bench 225 for 3 sets of 5. I weigh the same as I did when I got married at 28. To all the young hotsots posters -- You better take care of your body and your mind because today's medicine and health care is extending vibrant life expectacy.
  9. Line is first. Give the QB a chance. See 2009-10 Jets and Sanchez for one of many examples.
  10. On paper Buffalo's OL looks pretty bad, on par with that of KC. Yet, Pittsburgh hired our OL coach. Piittsburgh is known as a first rate organization.
  11. Our biggest needs are LT, QB and LB. If McClain is there and he has the highest grades you takes him, no doubt. A stud MLB will make our defense better. This guy has Pro Bowl, Impact Player written all over him. I would take McClain over Bulaga .. and I really do want to upgrade the OT position. I don't really care for any of thr QBs that are projected in the first round. Of course, if we can land a couple of free agents prior to the draft that could change things.
  12. I new a thread like this would be coming soon. KC is bad so these coaches all must be bad too. DOOOOMMMED!!!!!
  13. Not so fast. They have created jobs for Chuck in the past.
  14. You could do the same analysis on EVERY SINGLE Team. Especially over a ten year period, no matter who you drafted you can always go back and find an optimum solution after the fact. Sullivan is a tool. He brings no insight and he has no connection to what is really going on. That is why he only writes about what already happened.
  15. BS. He got his start here. He NEVER got the shaft. He was released because he did not do a good job. He was released by the man who hired him ... TD. So where are the thanks for getting a chance? He was an unknown, darkhorse candidate. What did he accomplish? Nothing. His teams were lousy and boring. He dismantled the #2 defense in the league; replaced good players with scrubs. He was arrogant prick and he helped to change the culture at OBD for the worse. He had no respect for the winning tradition that we had until he arrived. Gregg Williams is my least favorite Bills coach EVER. Had he drafted Brees he would have probably ruined his career because his offensive game was just so poor. Greg was not ready to be a head coach then, or now. So it is the City of Buffalo's fault that TD would not listen to his prodigy coach? I hope The Colts destroy his weak defense. The Aints were lucky last week, but I don't see them getting lucky again. They will need more help from the NFL just to keep it close.
  16. Super Bowl 1- Max McGee, a backup reciever for the Packers and a known party animal snuck out at night after Lombardi's curfew and got plastered. He was not expecting to play but a Packer starter got hurt and he played with what he described as a terrible hangover. He had a huge game, caught a few TDs.
  17. They partied like crazy in Tampa. Luckily, they did not have the extra week off. They were tight? Don't think so. They did not make enough big plays on offense. They missed tackes on defense. They waited until the 4th quarter to ride Thurman against a two man line. They did exactly what Bellichek and Parcells planned.
  18. Can we draft a big, mean, nasty fullback with some skills with our extra 6th or 7th rounders? Any decent fullbacks out there?
  19. What's to forgive? I don't recall that Bruce left his lane on that play. Several others Bills did though.
  20. I cannot understand why people are so preoccupied with past Bills. This is the era of free agency people. Can we just make a list of all the players that played for the Bills and then went on to other teams and had good careers. Because this ONLY happens to the Bills. I'll start - 1967 Daryl Lamonica was traded to the Oakland Raiders for Tom Flores, Art Powell and three old smelly jock straps. Then we really screwed up because we did not keep Flores and he coached a team to the Super Bowl. Ok. who's next?
  21. Ok, you make a good point except McNeil will also cost us some kind of compensation in the form of draft picks. Right? Isn't he a restricted FA?
  22. Biggest needs are - LT, QB, DL, and LB There is very little talent at OT that is not restricted. I think we have to draft one. Ditto at QB. Unless we want to try a journeyman while we develop a rookie. With all the talk about 3-4, I would say we need to sign Wilfork. A 3-4 starts with the NT. Nothing like adding an impact player on the DL. Dansby would be awesome at LB. We need more depth here too. Your right about Walter at WR. We will lose Owens and Reed. We could use a whole bunch of depth players that are lower tier but have some upside.
