  1. Putin did it, in the Library, with a hypersonic missile.
  2. No. He is not a two on most teams. Most teams with better talent would not stand for the drops and the inconsistencies in route running. He is still afforded more development time due to his age. He is a 3 or 4 or 5 on a strong playoff team. Maybe not even that if he doesn’t play special teams.
  3. No, not depressed. I refuse to let a football team do that to me.
  4. I don't see Oliver as "generational talent" but he may be more of an impact player. He may also be more of a headache, cost more, and have greater downside risk.
  5. 2006 Draft Class. We have had much worse, this draft is not horrible at all. Kyle alone makes it good. Whitner is a lightning rod on this board but he played a lot of games and did well, despite being picked 20 slots too soon and being crucified for it. McCargo was a bust, Yobouty a nothing. Brad Butler was looking very good until injury cut his career short. He was on a similar path as Kyle. Keith Ellison did a decent job too. We got some games out of Simpson, Merz, and Pennington. I have seen much worse, 1 8 Donte Whitner SS Ohio State 1 26 John McCargo DT North Carolina State 3 70 Ashton Youboty CB Ohio State 4 105 Ko Simpson FS South Carolina 5 134 Kyle Williams DT Louisiana State 5 143 Brad Butler T Virginia 6 178 Keith Ellison OLB Oregon State 7 216 Terrance Pennington T New Mexico 7 248 Aaron Merz G California
  6. I’ve been watching football and the Bills since about 1964. I was what can be termed as a rabid fan for many decades. I am now long past putting players on pedestals, or studying stats and obsessing on the team. I still watch the Bills every week, and I read the Bills articles, and I wait for the day they return to prominence. As for the rest of the NFL, not so much. I watch other games occasionally, each year less and less. I just don’t have the same respect for today’s players, and the game in general, that I did in the past. Even though the level of athleticism continues to get higher. I will miss Kyle Williams a lot. He always impressed me as a throwback type player, with a personality and work ethic that took me back to older times. True professional and class act. I hope to see his name on the Bills WoF someday soon.
  7. He is up there with Andre Reed, 4 th round, HOF. Tom Sestak, all time AFL and WOF, 17th round
  8. Play calling was not the problem. The players are. They do not block, run or catch very well. The offense is lousy no matter what plays they call.
  9. This is a game I really want to win. I hate the Pats*. Time to turn the tables on this team, beat them in their shithole stadium and set the tone for the future. We we need to run the ball, get a few big plays from Allen, play great defense and great ST. Santa please come early.
  10. The Pegulas do not have a roll in on-field decision. Obvious choice us ST coach.
  11. Ted Washington was a great player but in all this time he has ascended to the level of High School DL coach. Wow. I work with a high school DL coach and he is really good electrical engineer. Maybe there are some aspects of today’s NFL that are different than say 20 years ago?
  12. There are plenty of good players to pick in the draft. The losing has to stop. I want to beat the Pats* in their shithole stadium and then I want to beat Miami at home for our fans. Let's finish on a win streak - 7-9 in a rebuild year and 3-3 in the division. Keep Josh Allen's progress going. Time to stop the losing mentality.
  13. He is really stepping up. Better than Jones already. I think we have a solid player and a great Undrafted rookie free agent.
  14. Excellent player and leader. Sign him
  15. Safety is the least of our problems. A #2 CB, depth at LB, more pass rush, Four offensive lineman, 3 Receivers, 2 tight ends, 3 running backs, a franchise QB .... then safety.
  16. They made plays, just not nearly enough of them. I think its a lack of playmakers, i.e. talent. Better players make average coaches look good, but not the other way around. Look at our “vaunted” defense, best in league in yards allowed ... they gave up two fourth quarter TDs at home to a rookie QB. Blew two leads and never touched the QB. NEVER TOUCHED THE QB. As bad as special teams were, and they were bad too. They started good but when it mattered the most the defense let us down.
  17. I don't know who I would of taken if given the choice between Allen or Darnold. I don't follow college close enough. I like Allen and I think there is hope for him if we can get him some help. Darnold looked great when it counted.
