  1. A little misleading considering that there used to be 2 byes in the playoffs. TB didn’t need a bye to win the Super Bowl. I think it helps but it’s far from a guarantee. It’s better to be healthy and peaking at the right time
  2. Very possible… but if you are Miami and these reports surfaced about your “franchise QB” wouldn’t you want to get ahead of this and shoot everything down? I get the feeling they are discussing things
  3. It is…but it isn’t. Plenty of high profile organizations have suspended or cut ties with an employee when so many allegations like this have surfaced. You have to consider the current climate when it comes to this topic as well as the sensitivity to this issue. I’d be shocked if Watson was back anytime soon
  4. It must have been a cool moment to feel that close to your mom. Maybe it was her way of telling you to “trust the process” 👍🏻
  5. Probably…it all depends if/when he settles the civil cases and whatever the hell is happening with the grand jury. Lets just say he settles and doesn’t get criminal charges. The suspension is going to be interesting given the current climate and empathy to these incident. We aren’t taking about 1 high profile sexual assault accusation. It’s 20+. I think he’ll miss more than the typical 4 game suspension. So…best case scenario they might be looking at is 6 games into 2022.
  6. New tradition in Pittsburgh - Starting QB’s with high dollar court settlements
  7. How funny would it be if Grier made the trade and they still fired him?
  8. Based on the number of accusations, and the way that major players have distanced themselves from similar situations with entertainers, it would surprised me if the NFL allowed him to play this year
  9. WFT being interested makes perfect sense. Tua as your starter….Fitzpatrick as the closer. 🤣
  10. I’m all for innocent until proven guilty… but in 2021, after the MeToo movement and several very high profile celebrity incident, how can any organization put a positive spin on someone with this many allegations? This would be like doing business with Harvey Weinstein around the time the allegations first came out
  11. They aren’t going to trade anyone on the team and a member of the DL is highly unlikely. If there’s a deal that makes sense, I can see Beane dealing a mid to possibly a high draft for an impact player. If there’s anything we know about BB though, he’s not going to overreach
  12. It wouldn’t have mattered if the defense make ONE stop.
  13. I think it all depends what your criteria for a successful pick given their draft status. IMO you need to have reasonable expectations. I think it’s fair to question why a Top 10 draft pick like Ed Oliver hasn’t made more of an impact over the first 3 years of his career. Or why a 2nd round selection like Cody Ford can’t crack the starting lineup. Calling backs like Moss or Singletary “busts” despite being productive as 3rd round picks seems a little unfair. All GM’s have had mixed success with the draft, so I think that Bills fans sometimes lose sight of that.
  14. I didn’t have a problem with this. Throw like these are what makes Josh Allen…Josh Allen. If the defense actually holds Tennessee without a score one time, this point is completely moot and the Bills get the W
  15. I completely disagree. For the the obvious turning point was Henry’s 76 yard TD to go ahead 7-6. The Bills dominated for the first two drives that stalled in the redzone. All they had to show was a 1 point deficit. After that run the pressure stopped and Tannheill played considerably better.
  16. You spelled “defense” and “offense” wrong.
  17. Has he flashed enough to earn a second contract?
  18. Keep in mind that Mercilus couldn’t crack the starting lineup for the Houston Texans - one of the worst defensive teams in the NFL. The Bills signing Mercilus is a move that would look bigger on paper than it would on the field - kind of like signing Kenny Stills to the PS last season
  19. Overall, I’m a little disappointed with what we’ve seen from Ed Oliver. Last year, some had theorized that his lack of production was the result of not having a true 1TDT to take on blockers. Well Star is back and is having his best season with the Bills, yet Oliver still hasn’t made much more of an impact. He hasn’t been bad necessarily and can make an occasional splash play. But he also seems to be a non-factor for long stretches of game and has provided little in terms of a pass rush. It seems to me that he doesn’t win his matchup enough. The word on Oliver is that you can take him out of a play completely with a double team. At this point, if I’m Brandon Beane, I definitely wouldn’t pick up his option this off-season, unless Ed takes his game to another level this year. I feel that you can match Oliver’s production with a younger player or a veteran that will sign for a much cheaper deal than what it would take to keep Oliver in town. Would you pick up Oliver’s option after this season?
  20. I’m not really concerned about this. We can improve red zone efficiency a lot easier than we can with line play.
  21. Yes and no…. In the case of the game last night, I don’t think you can blame Allen for not converting the 2 RZ touchdowns, when he kept putting points on the board. The defense was the main issue. I do think there are times in the past where Allen played subpar and fans were overly protective of him. To your point, Allen looks to be the real deal, as long as that happens, the Bills are going to compete every year.
  22. I’m guessing he’ll be down for a few games, though McDermott hasn’t designed him as “week-to-week” which is interesting
  23. They could’ve been better in the redzone for sure, but anyone that wants to pin the loss on the offense is mistaken. The Bills lost largely because the defense couldn’t make one stop in the 2nd half. Not 👏One👏Stop👏 That’s a major reason why the Bills lost. Force TEN off the field once without point and it’s a W. So much for the “elite” defense
