Saints to start Taysom Hill over Jameis Winston

Pretty clear good move to start him over JW. That’s all that matters to Saints. He would be a big addition to any team. SP is a smug guy but credit to him on TH. -
The Bills Aren't a Top-Tier Team Yet
QLBillsFan replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Titans got to AFC championship game. We will be elite if we make such a run. Stats are a telling sign of things to come, but NFL is about match ups and game plans. We are in the conversation to be elite. Outside of KC and perhaps the Saints I’m not sure anyone in the top 10 is elite. I think JA has the capability of making a run. If D continues to improve and we get some semblance of a run game why not Bills? -
I would not want to play the Jets. These guys have pride and as has been said Greggo finds weaknesses. Tua against Greggo could be interesting. I see Jets getting a win somehow not sure this week. I watched pats game and they should have won.

I totally agree to write off Tua after five games is foolish. The JA comparisons are not the same. JA was panned by 2/3 of the media. Before the hip media had Tua as the 2nd coming of Manning. As far as his college performance. He played on the most talented team in college for four years. With multiple #1 draft choices to throw or hand to. The current eye test shows some kinks but he needs time and confidence. Clearly he’s not ready for a playoff run. Is the decision based on 1 wanting to win now ?2 in response to Burrow/ Herbert being good now? 3 A directive from the owner? If they think he’s better than Herbert long term they will stay with him and not draft another #1 qb. That draft was 6 months ago with the same decision makers in place. It’s not like Rosen so I deduct they do not draft a QB and they have stated as much.

Correct if they drafted him over Herbert with this regime I think they play it out. Cards got new coach, Flores was part of decision. This talk of drafting QB given that makes no sense.

Picking a QB with Texans first would be an indictment of what a bad miss they made with Herbert. So 2 for 1 on QB’s and hope #2 is better than Herbert. Yet could have had Herbert and maybe the most explosive play maker in draft. Yikes I’m glad we have Beane.

Why is it not their pick ? Meaning that can just take a flyer on the Texans pick. Wow I would think they feel the pick post trade is part of their future and really important.

Very true. I’m not judging Tua yet but I think Herbert has already shown a lot. He has many more weapons but he’s close to JA in year one. Tua needs more help but I’m seeing him limited in part because he does not have the elite arm strength of Herbert or JA. The narrative on Tua was he would elite and as of yet I haven’t seen it. JA was called garage since day one and has earned respect. Tua may but he has a long way to go.

Week 11 Around the League

I think my biggest point is that Herbert has demonstrated he was the better pick. But Dolphins 🐬 as currently constructed are the least talented O in the playoff hunt and it’s not close. Had they taken Herbert added another WR and RB in first round then suddenly next year they compete with anyone. -

I agree they have great D bad weather and can run. Not sure they shake out #6. But not best match up. 6 games left and so much can happen. -

Fair point. H is edgy. V has demonstrated just this year. Not even close. -
The argument to play Tua is to see his potential. All the while trying to win the AFC East ? Illogical to evaluate him during season vs the 2nd best QB in draft. When Herbert was the pick. Dolphins will regret that pick and it will follow GM and coach of year.

They had a shot at Herbert and chose not to. Huge mistake and Texans likely pick 6-10 so doubt anyone is going to be as good as Herbert once Clemson kid goes to Jets or Jags. This tryout for Tua is irresponsible and may cost them playoffs. -

Dolphins have good D and special teams. Tua is not ready. They are not winning the division, they have a shot at playoffs. Sure Fitz throws the pic. But he energized them for 3, and engineers almost a 99 yard drive. Tua offers a medium arm and an above average level of escapability. That’s it Denver coaches had him unbalanced all day. Pulling him tells me they really know he’s not ready but apparently think playing him is more important than winning? High IQ no name calling my friend but you don’t respond to your claims that don’t hold up! -

So objectively you actually think that Tua will give them a better chance to win ? So does your coach ! He’s the starter for next week. Why did you say Denver winning was the biggest NFL upset in recent memory? Your kidding 🤷🏻♂️? -

We are sick of you talking about the Dolphins 🐬. I am not approving of name calling it’s foolish. But you come across a bit overly confident in your Dolphins. Example today’s game. I’ve said multiple times every game is it’s own challenge. You have specificity said Dolphins will walk through next 2-3 games. Despite the pick it is clear Fitz gives your team the best chance to win. Tua got exposed as a rookie and Herbert will be better. Tua may evolve into a good qb but at expense of a loss today, hurting the franchise. Your coach of year and GM own that poor decision. Hard to win 6-7 games in a row. Your team got breaks and played well. Facts are the O is limited now your have a locker room potentially divided. I enjoy your posts on your favorite team but your not objective. -
