  1. For those blasting the point of this, read through some these threads about players drafted and thinking championship.
  2. I wonder what number he plans on wearing
  3. I can think of a few drafts where we've come away with at least 2 solid starters. I'd consider that the baseline. 3 solid starters would be great. 4 would be best ever. I'm going to say that I believe in our first two picks as solid starters with picks 3, 4, and 6 as wild cards. I'll let you know next year
  4. I'm very happy with how the draft worked out. I would have liked to have seen an OT, but where our rush game was ranked last year, we will survive. Two things to consider as we wrap up this weekend. There is a general consensus that this draft was deep with talent, but not superstars. There wasn't a Khalil Mack or Andrew Luck. There are a lot of solid starters and depth, which a lot of teams need and that's great. Also, it's rare for a rookie to translate their college stats to the NFL 100%. I've always assumed them to put up about 70% of their senior stats in college and that's worked out fairly well. With that, I expect our top 3 picks to contribute and start immediately, but they only going going to solidify our team and help clean up the weakness we had. The other thing is Rex. Rex had an amazingly talented Defensive team and he squandered it. Now, hopefully he has the guys he wants that fits his scheme, but he hasn't shown a top defensive team in quite some time. No matter what, the offense is relatively the same as last year, with our hopes based upon TT and Sammy taking another leap forward, Woods being healthy, and the offensive line coming together more. Defensively, I think we saw growth at the end of last year and we've again filled in holes that Rex needed. I overall think this draft made us better and I think a lot of things broke our way. But I overall want to keep in check the expectations we are putting onto rookies and Rex. NOT BEING PESSIMISTIC. Just seeing it as history has shown us.
  5. Speed, size, hands. We needed a Harvin replacement to run deep all day. Love it. Needed it.
  6. 5th (basically) on a guy that Whaley is straight up saying won't be a qb for us for at least another year. What's the harm? If he pans out, great. I don't think he will. I think he will end up just as good as 80% of the qbs taken every year, nowhere. Again, for a 5th, worth a shot.
  7. Once you get to the 5th, it's all boom or bust picks. It's no longer about need. As it's been said, we had depth issue last year at RB and qb. Expect more picks like this for the 6th and 7th. If they pan out, great. If not, who cares
  8. I just don't ever see him being a NFL qb
  9. I'm still holding out hope that Easly can be the deep threat we need
  10. I read LaCanfora's Twitter and it's hilarious. He goes back and forth with any old scrub and looks like a child doing it.
  11. Besides Andrew Luck, how many qbs have kept that status two years in a row? Based on recent history, I see him mid first round at best, Chad Kelly higher, and someone we aren't even talking about first overall
  12. When you put it like that.... Championship!
  13. I really don't think it's real, as much as I dislike thin skinned Graham. If he really was rated high for the Bills, we'd have taken him with our 3rd. I expect someone at 4
  14. I don't know **** about playbooks besides what I see in madden, but imagine this 5-2. Lawson - Williams - Dareus - Washington - Hughes Brown - Ragland Gilmore - Graham - Williams - Darby That's 1 on 1 coverage for each lineman. You would have to keep someone back to block and help out, needing less WR's to cover. And if you spread us out, Our safeties are converted DB's, we press, mix up which OLB and LB will cover, and still come at you with 5. Against the run or getting pressure, that's terrifying no matter how badly Rex tries to mess it up. Even in a 4-3 or 4-2-5, if we can't get pressure with 4 of those 5 lineman with added LB or CB coverage, we have problems
  15. Normally, I'd agree. But let's say that Lawson and Ragland were really first round picks and Cook was a third rounder, once considered a potential first. If I told you we lost this years 4th and 6th and next years 4th and 5th to get those 3, you taking it? I feel like most would.
  16. It's not about a #2. We need a burner. Our offense was very different with Harvin out there
  17. Yeah, I don't get this. He's not a NT. Dareus is bigger. Where does he fit in?
  18. Really, Cardale? This seems crazy early for him. I don't see why he isn't there in the 4th for us
  19. well, if we want cook, I think we have to jump Cleveland. I don't want him, so I stay put. I'm good trading back for another 4th
  20. All of these analysts are relaying opinions and quotes from people on the team that are not going to be honest about anything. If the Bills wanted Cook, they would have taken him. At this rate, they could still get him. I have no opinion of the guy and I'd rather have the kid from Stanford if he's there in the 4th. People were trading up everywhere and LB's were coming off the board like crazy. And to say Ragland is a weak position? How weak was it last year when our ILB kept bouncing off of RB's and giving up TD's?! Seriously, first round talent and we benefited from teams having needs at other positions. Be happy. We have two first round picks on our team, lost a 4th next year and a pick this year we didn't originally have. If I'm telling you that you are being negative, you are really in trouble. I'm not in optimistic mode, because we still have Rex at the helm, but we get an OT, S, LB, I may start to perk up a bit
  21. It looks like most of the players sliders and risers have evened out now. Might see less trades now. Lots of solid value out there.
