  1. I was waiting for someone to start this thread. I think this is a bad location for the draft. I still can't shake the memory of the Eagles fans booing the McNabb pick. They were just ridiculous and he turned that franchise around. Between that and their fans overall reputation, I wouldn't be surprised to see the whole first round have a negative atmosphere. I would feel bad for players getting boo'd during one of the greatest moments of their lives.
  2. Rex said that he has heart, but not the size needed for the NFL and that there are too many veterans ahead of him at his position. Didn't officially list him as cut, but I think that's pretty damning. Billsdaily has the comments on their Twitter feed
  3. Proof of people skimming a post and assuming content
  4. "It's always in the last place I looked" Um, why would you find it and keep looking? Of course it was the last place you looked.
  5. After the 5-2 season with Trent and the Fitzmagic start, we've see a lot of cusps of the playoffs. I can never blame anyone for being jaded about our future until the final seconds tick away and we've officially clinched the playoffs
  6. My dear lord. You went there? Fair enough good sir. You win. I'll take Rex forever if it means we don't have to live with that alternative
  7. Where's the person eating popcorn emoticon
  8. If you go off of qb reads, it's: 1- Sammy 2 - Clay 3 - Woods 4 - McCoy We are looking for a 5 read at this point. In Romans offense, that's probably just someone running deep. So, I have to respectfully disagree
  9. I mean, is that's what this board is about? Fans of a team talking about the pros and cons of what the organization does? And I'm sorry for those who think this is a negative crusade. But as a fan of the current team with the longest playoff drought, I do start to question why us? Is it just bad luck? I believe in luck to a certain degree. But I don't believe that anyone is just plain cursed. I also believe that you can't do anything in this league without a qb and I feel comfortable saying we've found that. And yes, I do believe in continuity. I believe the Bengals are proof of that as they pushed through some terrible "boat" times. But no, I'm not going to smile and nod when the taken chances blow up in our face. I recognize that great steals (Darby) and FA's (Incognito) that have panned out. However, we needed our picks this year to pan out quicker than normal. Rex definitely needs it. For clarity, I want to see improvement this year. I want to be wrong about Rex. I want to believe the drought will come to an end and we will show improvement year after year. I applaud the optimism others have. I feel bad for those who throw their hands up and are just excuse central. That's a deeper level of BBFS than I have.
  10. Again, I'm not saying win the game. I'm talking about ball control, maybe 150 yards, not losing the game for you. If you win, it's because the backup didn't turn it over, run game and defense was strong.
  11. I'm not saying blow it up and I'm not saying fire Whaley. I just wonder how acceptable all of this is to the owners and if not, where would that accountability fall to. The Kelly, Bruce stuff is interesting and it shows the exposure you get these days.
  12. A legit backup is a qb that, when called upon, will keep you in a game. Not lose it for you. I don't know if that's EJ. It sure wasn't last year
  13. Offense looked good. Run game was troubling, but looked that way last pre-season too. Would like to see them work on some longer, sustained drives and not rely on the big play, but that's me nit-picking. Defense looks deep, especially at DB.
  14. I'm not saying anyone should be fired right now and I don't even know who. I'm just starting to feel like I'm on the Bengals cruise ship. I really just hope that, IF we do have a failure of a season, none of this is used as excuses.
  15. Not until mid November Wait, what? You don't think our first two picks should have made an impact this season? You don't think the rushing TD's that Karlos put up were big?
  16. I understand that the players are grown-men and responsible for their actions. I get that injuries happen. But at some point, when does it stop being bad luck and start being someone making poor decisions to bring all of these people together? Karlos Williams had personal issues in college. Their were rumors of Shaq's injury. Dareus had issues his first few years. I could keep going. Again, I know there is a certain level of circumstance, but it gets to a point where you have to wonder. It's like that person in your life who always gets in trouble or get cheated on. You know they don't want it to happen, but they always find a way when no one else does. Just thoughts. Flame away.
  17. I'm not offended. We were behind the times with naming rights. But yes, I think it looks stupid too.
  18. You know that all of this will be used as an excuse to give Rex one more chance after a mediocre season
  19. I know it's easy to want to Bill-ieve, but he did it against players that won't be on the roster in 3 weeks. He did it against vanilla defenses where you can just go out there and find the open guy. There weren't any timing throws, disguised defenses, or speed of a regular game.
  20. I really thought this was the year where it wouldn't hit me as hard. I hadn't missed football that much. I didn't care that much about training camp news. I rolled my eyes at Lawson and Ragland's injuries. And yes, Rex is still an ass clown. But then, one of you horrible people put a link to the game tonight where I could stream it live and by 7:05pm, football-brain mode and BBFS was activated. I'm ready for next week already. I'm ready for my FF leagues to start. I'm ready for December pain. I'm ready for BILLS FOOTBALL!!!!!
  21. Any good live streaming sites?
  22. I'm sorry, but I can't give him normal money. I give him the franchise tag next year and then hope to trade him. It's too much when we have Darby. Draft a CB next year and let Gilmore get paid somewhere else. Or, if I'm terrible, hope he has an eh season which lets us pay him a little less 😈
  23. So, 15 of his 27 mil salary in 2017 is a bonus. He gets it all at once, but from a cap perspective, doesn't it get split up among the remaining 5 years? So basically, it's a 12 mil cap hit plus 3 mil bonus, bringing him up to 15 mil against the cap in 2017? If true, this is an even better deal for the team than I thought, all while TT gets taken care. I'm very impressed
