Love it, he was great for Miami last year. Great receiving back has been under utilized his whole career. Hope he doesn't get the Yeldon/Brieda treatment though.

I agree, stop the RB talk at 25. I doubt any RBs go in the first round and looking at the teams that draft ahead of us in the second round, I bet that one of Walker/Spiller/Hall will be there at 58 because most other teams don’t have a glaring need at RB. If they are really targeting RB, then they can wait.
-
My guess is CB, don’t really know which one will be available but maybe McDuffie or Gordon. We are due to draft a CB and my hunch is that they’ll take one early. I want to believe that Treylon Burks might be an option, but they also like to wait on WR. I would be surprised if they went WR in round 1 but I’m all for it. RB, absolutely not in round 1 but maybe round 2 we look at Walker, Spiller, Hall in that order.

Bills trade 7th rnd pick for backup Case Keenum
CapeBreton replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Great trade and glad to see the re-structure, Keenum is a competent backup. I’d actually have some faith we could win games if he had to start. -
Draft news/impact - Michigan LB David Ojabo tore his Achilles

Kayvon Thibodeaux took some criticism for leaving the combine early because he said the drills were so far apart in time. But why risk injury when he has little to gain and a lot to lose? -
There is no Jonathan Taylor in this draft though, we will not be taking RB in round 1.

2022 Free Agency - Around the NFL Thread
CapeBreton replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
He’s only a year older than Cooper Kupp which is just wild, but yeah not sure how much tread is left on those tires after an ACL tear. -
I like Melvin Gordon and he is still pretty decent but he fumbles at the absolute worst times. There’s no good time for it but man he has had some crucial fumbles. I hope we get Rachaad White later in the draft, maybe 4th round?

So glad to see JuJu go to KC, that guy is an absolute clown. Cares more about TikTok than football. James Washington is a good signing for Dallas, he’s a really good receiver that was underutilized in Pittsburgh. Some of Dionate’s targets should have been going to him. -
Deshaun Watson to Browns - $230 million guaranteed
CapeBreton replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Browns could have just drafted Josh Allen for free. Now they give up 3 firsts and two other picks for Watson. We only had to trade two 2nds to move up for Allen, what a trade lol. -
If I had to bet, I would say we are taking a CB with our first rounder. Likely lots of good options available at that pick.

AZ cuts Jordan Phillips - now signed by Bills

man this guy was awesome in 2019 here, great to have him back on a one year deal! -
Didn't he play 2020 with a broken bone in his leg too? The guy is tough as nails. I cracked a rib once and couldn't move for like a week.

Deshaun Watson trade down to 2 teams - Falcons & Saints
CapeBreton replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
New Orleans seems like a good fit for Watson. They’re a pretty greasy team. If Sean Payton was still there then they’d be the ultimate villains. -
I think Kenneth Walker is the best RB in this class, although it’s not a good class. Breece Hall and Isaiah Spiller are both overrated.
-
Not surprised he had a terrible year in 2021 after returning from an Achilles injury but 3.5M is a bargain for what he could bring another year removed from that injury. It was only a few years ago where we were paying Tyler Kroft like 7M in free agency.
-
AJ Green looked like a corpse in 2020 and was actually pretty decent last year. So you never know, Julio might still have some gas left in the tank. I’m a big fan of Julio so would love to see him come to Buffalo.

McKissinc changes mind, returning to Washington
CapeBreton replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe Reggie Gilliam didn't want to give up number 41 to McKissic? But really, that sucks but I'm sure we'll find someone else. Cordarelle Patterson is still the dream scenario. -
Pittsburgh is at 20, maybe he figures the Chargers will take him at 17.

Hooper also wouldn’t count against the comp pick formula FWIW. -
He has looked excellent the last two years, and we need a RB who can catch the ball and make things happen. McKissic had some clutch plays for Washington this past season too.
-
I don't think this RB draft class is very good so glad to see them make this addition now.

Excellent pass catching back! Didn't spend too much either! I love it.
