Agree one hundred percent. In fact, I'd take it one step further. The gap between the two teams has widened. It widened mostly because of the Chiefs as an organization. Their GM and coach are likely the best in the league. No one can say that about Buffalo's. As a result, the Chief's draft picks, schemes, player development, game planning, game time adjustments, etc...are superior to the Bills. End result is number one seed, home field advantage, Super Bowl appearances, and Super Bowl wins.

It's really simple here. It's all about the rings. Mahomes has two and Allen doesn't even have a bracket yet. That's really the only stat that counts when you have elite status.

Gunner, I agree about the Bills making execution mistakes. I really think this needs to be addressed. You knowledge here will be helpful. Listening to Cosell a few weeks ago talking about the Bills offense and Miami's D preparation. He basically said the Bills offense isn't difficult to plan for. He went on to say you know what the Bills are going to do. The Bills offense is built on their players executing. I couldn't agree more with his analysis. My point here is the Bills offense and their coaches lack creativity and sustained and coherent game plan. It's overly reliant on player execution with very little room for error. This is the very reason why the offense hasn't performed well the last three games. Defenses know what the Bills are basically going to do. They really don't fool a defense. They really don't have explosive players to keep a defense honest. The Bills' offense revolves around how good to great will Allen be. Add in defenses no longer have to account for Allen's running and their formula just gets even easier. There's no easy solution here. I'm not sure it's even fixable at this point. The oline which looked very promising is starting to leak. Gabe Davis is not a dependable WR#2. The offense severely lacks explosive, dangerous weapons. Couple that with a defensive strategy that will not allow Allen to beat you with chunk plays. The most successful part of the Bills offense to date is mostly when Allen scrambles and improvises. That's just not sustainable. IMHO, it's the offense that needs to carry this team. Lately, they have been carrying clipboards and tablets on the sidelines. This team isn't good enough to just wake up in the fourth quarter and beat teams. After the buy the Bills schedule gets extremely difficult. We will find out how good or bad they really are. I suspect we aren't going to like what we see. I don't see a lot of reason for optimism. Maybe, you can shed some light on how the Bills can turn things around. -
I'd definitely place a bet on Tampa with the points too. Seems like easy money here The Bills are not playing well on both sides of the ball. The coaching staff seems clueless as to as having any kind of answer to fix their issues. Perhaps, it's not truly fixable because the talent is not there. Especially, on the injury riddled defense. The Bills enter right back onto the playing field. Is this really a positive? I mean what's gonna change from the last three games? I suspect we see a similar Bills team. One that struggles on defense. If Mac Jones can light up this D what can Baker do? Mike Evans and Goodwin will likely gash the Bills secondary. On offense close your eyes and hope for the best. Tampa's D is beatable. The Bills should have success but I say that with some trepidation. I suspect the Bills will be really pressing to get out to a fast start. The Tampa D is a pass funnel defense. So it's imperative that Josh takes the open underneath looks. This will lead to long drives and less possessions. The red zone offense has to be efficient. My heart just can't call a Bills loss here. However, I do see another game that is very tight. Frankly, this Bills team is average and really in trouble. The danger of missing the playoffs is very real. Making the playoffs almost seems like the goal now. Winning playoff games and representing the AFC seems fantasy like. Almost unattainable. For sure, we devout fans will never give up hope. Bills 24. Tampa 20.

What do you think the reasons are why the offense has under performed the last three games? -
I think the numbers are deceiving here. They really played some pretty mediocre teams in the Raiders, Commanders, Giants, and even Miami's D is suspect especially with Philips and Ramsey out. They 12 personnel that the Bills were running wasn't what I expected. It was more of a dink and dunk offense to the tight ends. Even using Knox to cover up and help Brown. Perhaps my expectations were incorrect. I was expecting to see some explosive big play catches from the Bills tight ends. I had an image of the tight ends making some 15 to 20 yards chunk plays down the seam. Even Kincaid moving around and acting more like a WR. We really haven't seen any of that. I mean the Bills offense is currently ranked number 3 in the NFL. There is no way anyone's eye ball test can think the Bills offense is 3rd best in the NFL. The numbers often don't paint an accurate picture. Lets look at the high ranking Bills defenses over the last few years. If memory serves me correctly I believe they were the number one ranked D a couple of years ago and top 3 for several years. Come playoff time the Bills defenses lead by Fraizer couldn't stop an old lady pushing a shipping cart. 2023 Bills rank 12th in total defense, 7th in passing defense, and 5th in red zone defense. The Pats offensively rank near the bottom in every stat. They arguably have a bottom feeder QB. Yet last Sunday despite the stats, Mac Jones led his team down the field to a game winning TD. Stats be damn... In short, we fans and football enthusiasts love to look at and point out stats. It's often overated, over utilized, and somewhat misleading. The 12 personnel by the Bills is a very good example of this.

Zay Flowers looks pretty good too. I was hoping for Addison or Flowers at pick 27. My no go go was Quinton Johnston.

This logic is flawed and based on unfounded fear. You already have a franchise QB so there is no need for a "mini rebuild." A change of scheme and players might be exactly what the team needs. It worked immediately for Philly and a guy named McVay did pretty well too. Folks, the status quo isn't working. What makes you think things are going to change for the positive? I just don't get the resistance to change. Lastly, there isn't a lot to lose with coaching changes. Allen alone can almost get you into the playoffs. A bigger question is the GM position. Those are big shoes to fill. Is Beane is likely gone if McD goes? I like Beane but many of his his moves just haven't produced the desired results. As for qualifying candidates I have no idea. Agree 100%. Where were you when I was saying this last year? I nearly got decapitated on here for saying similar things.

I agree. You don't have much to lose.
-
That makes no sense. Purdy looks more than serviceable. He definitely doesn't suck.
-
They are 5-2 and first in a crappy division..They had Deebo out for the game. Bad sarcasm here. Why? I don't get the logic here.

I don't think he has the yips. I think he's under prepared and lacks focus early in games. I think he's lost confidence in the coaching and the play calling. I think he only trust Diggs and feels like everyone else isn't reliable. I think he's beginning to see and feel the pressure from the oline weaknesses. At the end of games, Allen seems very focused and confident. Has a swagger and makes plays and things happen. Sort of plays back yard football and takes things into his own hands. That's anything but the yips. -

I don't think it's total garbage. Allen is far from the problem. Many including myself may hold him to an unacceptable high standard. Allen has missed several reads that have been open. The Jets game was abysmal. He single handily gave that game away. The offense has been terrible for three straight games. That's not acceptable. We aren't talking a quarter or two. Allen is the leader of the offense. Without him, the team likely doesn't win many games. That's just reality. As he goes the team goes. Its hard to really quantify the percentage of the offensive woes. Allen certainly has to burden some of it though. How much is debatable. My fan eyes see a different Allen this year. Almost like he's a bite distracted, not quite focused, and frustrated. His slow starts almost indicate he's not prepared or focused. Almost like he's pulling a "Michael Vick" if you will. The most obvious difference in Allen is his reluctance to run. That skill really set him apart from other QBs. His legs absolutely gives the Bills the best chance to win. He's effectively cut off at the knees by choice or by coaches. In short, Allen is the future of the Bills. He's the main reason for the recent success and playoff births. I think most will concede this as a given. Nevertheless, he deserves plenty of criticism this season. -

Obviously, you haven't read my posts starting last season. I've been advocating a coaching change for a long time. It was pretty clear in my eyes that McD had run it's course. I beat the drum over and over. I reiterated why I thought change was needed and a positive. My only regret was I over did it and rubbed many the wrong way. I'm not happy with the way the season is playing out. As Josh Allen said "it looks bleak." Folks, that's coming from the leader of the team. That has to speak volumes. I suspect if the Bills continue to lose (schedule is brutal) McD may lose the locker room. I'm wondering if it's slightly in progress now. -
Agree. Its not like 12 personnel was lighting up opposing defenses.
-
Pi is already a judgement call.
-
I know that's why you can add in a spot foul for intentional PI. Kind of like how they have a running and roughing into the kicker penalities.
-
Ok then a straight 15 yard penalty.
-
It's impossible to do that. I think what might be more realistic is making PI a 15 yard penalty and a first down. Maybe they could implement something like it's a spot foul for blatant intentionally PI.
-
Refs are bad. So obvious. Mahomes, Reid, and Kelce. It's the new version of Brady, BB, and Gronk. I believe they are a destiny team for many years. They are clearly the team to beat in the AFC for years.
-
Addison isn't bad either. He was the guy I wanted in the draft for the Bills
-
I think there is plenty of blame to go around.
-
I was stunned at how the Bills came back to take the lead. It was fantastic. I wasn't confident that the Bills D would stop NE because of the way both sides were playing. However, I really never thought the Pats would score a game winning TD. I was sort of expecting OT.
-
You never know but I think they only had one play left of Diggs caught it. Very unlikely but it was that kind of crazy game. Would have been awesome if the ghost of Gabe caught the TD winner. The analyst here just stated that Allen was pressured 41% of the time when he dropped back to pass. Wow.

I get it. We are all upset.
