  1. I'm a bit more easy and less confident about tonight's game. A Bills blowout would be great.
  2. I'm kinda of thinking you have the right idea here. My homerism can't go there though. This Bills team looks to be in trouble on both sides of the ball. Just hoping the home crowd is disruptive and the Bucs suck worse.
  3. I can't believe the Bills are 10 points favorites. That's just way too many points.
  4. I'd prefer a coaching change of McD and Dorsey. That more likely gets the offense jump started. Andy might help a little bit with those two under the helm the offense with be predictable and uncreative.
  5. This take is way over the top. Cook did have a very good game. Yes he should be used more in the passing game. Yes he does have some nice speed. However, let's not go crazy here. Cook is really just a Jag. You look on almost every team's roster and you can find a guy like him. Teams do not have to game plan for Cook. How many TDs and long runs does he have. Like previously said his blocking is bad. This seems to be the first game where he has broken tackles. He can be shut down pretty easily as the Jaguars showed. In that game he missed assignments and missed holes in his limited role. Yes he played a good game and looks good. He can be a integral part of the offense. But let's not make it like Cook is an all pro. He's not a 20 touch 3 down back. Those are rare nowadays. He's l just a Jag who will have good and bad games.
  6. A wide receiver two and a right tackle too.
  7. Shows you how inept the front office is.
  8. Best secondary group for zone defenses. If Elam is unable to grasp the concepts then he won't be very good. I think that's what we are seeing.
  9. Lou A is elite though. Are we all thinking the same thing with Elam? As soon as he's gone he will be productive and a very good CB on the right team. Personally, I think it's more of a Bills scheme problem and now he's lost his confidence. A change of scenery might be exactly what he needs. He's not a good Bill though.
  10. I think this is best case scenario. I have little confidence that the Bills team can win vs KC and Philly. I'd add in Cinci too. Those teams are just a much better team than Buffalo. They have home field advantage and much better coaching too. Sure it's possible the Bills win but I'm not sure how any Bills fans can feel confident. Truthfully, I think this team struggles to make the playoffs. This team feels much different than previous teams.
  11. Cinci is a very poor match up for the Bills. The Jets are a bad match up for the Bills because their D is so good. NE just beat the Bills. LA Chargers are dangerous. Dallas is solid. I have the Bills going 6-4 for the next 10 games. That makes them finish at 10-7.
  12. That's more than fair. I respect your viewpoint and response. I suspect many here agree more with your viewpoints than mine. Time will tell what happens. Truthfully, I would like nothing more to be wrong here. That would mean the Bills are winning and advancing further in the playoffs. I've fantasized about the Bills winning it all for decades. I know it's only football but I can say without a doubt tears of joy would be in order for this Bills fans.
  13. Getting to the playoffs is not a given at this point. The upcoming Bills schedule is very difficult. We all can do the math.
  14. Really great post. Agree you can't fire McD at this point. It just would be too disruptive and hard to overcome that drastic of a change. Where we probably differ is McD should have been let go after the Cinci playoff loss. Add in the 13 second disaster and previous playoff disappointments. This fan had seen enough! This season is apparent that they are regressing, the McD culture building has lost it's bite, and players are seemingly unprepared and not focused. How the head coach isn't held accountable is beyond me. How he escaped the 13 second blunder without even a scratch is ridiculous. How he didn't receive significant criticism when his team didn't show up for the Cinci game is remarkable. It's excuse after excuse after excuse. This fan is out of excuses. I suspect McD will remain the coach next year even if the Bills don't make the playoffs this year. Be careful what you ask for. The writing is on the wall for change. We fans should embrace it and not fear it. That fear will keep the Bills from representing the AFC in the SB. Folks, the McD show has clearly run it's course. Its time to give him his props and clap him to another team not named Buffalo. Thank you coach McD for everything you have done. You have earned our respect. Best of luck with your next team.
  15. I get not making moves on desperation. However, do you think this current roster is good enough to make a deep run? You think this coaching staff can make the proper adjustments with it's current players to turn things around? I know you are well aware of the tough upcoming schedule as well. As Josh Allen said things look bleak. He wasn't lying and that's not exactly a vote of confidence. in short, this team is in desperation mode. The look, feel, and results of the team are not encouraging.
  16. Some picks lol...You think they are going to be hoe hum picks? You think those guys are going to have big salaries? At best they can get one of them.
  17. He's a good blocker.
  18. My eye have not really seen a lot of mechanical issues with Josh. Not my area of expertise though. Allen QBs will miss passes. My concerns with Josh are more between his ears and his eyes. He seems to be unprepared and almost going though the motions. I see a lack of the " it" factor. His vision certainly lacks at times as noted by others.
  19. That's his format. I don't know anyone in the business that breaks down play after play for the entire game for fans. At best, analysts pick a couple of plays to illustrate their points. I think it's fair to say Joe is knowledgeable, very fair, and accurate with his analysis. You are welcome to disagree. As for myself, I find him very credible and listen to him daily.
  20. It's really a failure of Beane and McD. They have repeatedly failed to build up a reliable oline and get explosive offensive weapons. They continued to use Davis as a WR2 despite showing his deficiencies. They continued to use Brown at the tackle position despite his deficiencies. They've played revolving doors with the WR3/4 positions with little success. They went with a rookie OC who was learning on the job when the Bills are in win it all mode. They continued to stay with Dorsey despite his limitations. They continued to go back to the well with McD. Despite his playoff failures. A 4-5 record and a 44% win percentage . 13 seconds and his team throttled by Cinci in his most recent playoff history. The Bills continue to run it back with the same coaching staff and many of the same players. Yet, most of us fans expect different results.
  21. Joe is one of the most knowledgeable football guys out there when it comes to the Bills. He's not always right and of course he doesn't know everything. He definitely is very fair with his analysis. At times, I feel like he's not critical enough. I wouldn't dismiss his criticisms as being inaccurate or not meaningful.
  22. Perhaps and perhaps not. I mean after 5 plus years I think we have a pretty accurate picture of who Allen is. Sure, there's always room for improvement and hopefully that happens. There is no guarantee either way. What's concerning is Allen seems to be unprepared. This is really evident the last three games. The term sleep walking has been used by many. I can't disagree with the terminology. The Bills need more from their elite QB. Almost seems like Allen has lost confidence in his players, coaches, and perhaps himself. The winning attitude, culture, and swagger seems to be lost. We are seven games into the season and the Bills are about to face an extremely difficult schedule. They are playing poor football and something needs to change pretty quickly.
  23. Really good info and read here. Thanks. I'm a really big Allen fan. In an earlier post, I mentioned that Allen almost seems "Michael Vick" like. Joe's comments almost seem to confirm this. I feel like Allen is not prepared, going through the motions, and totally relying on his physical tools. The other option is Allen cannot read defenses very well. He's played in the league for many years. What Joe is talking about is pretty basic stuff for a QB.
  24. I get what you are saying. Ditto about Kelly too. Still it's about winning super bowls not about regular season wins and great stats. Elite QBs are sought after because that's the most direct way to win it all. The facts just bare that out. In mondern day football it's very difficult for a serviceable QB to win it all. SF is knocking on that door. I think Allen will be disappointed if puts up hall of frame numbers with no ring to go with it. There will be always a little asterisk by his name sort of speak.
