  1. I get the sarcasm. For many of us, it's the way we lost. Many of the same deficiencies were exposed. No need to rehash them. To boot, the bills were at home on opening day. Imho, the whole team including the coaches deserve the criticism. It's ok to criticize right? The offense and their game plan sucked. IThe defense under preformed in the second half. We caught the Steelers offense at a great time. Inexperienced rookie RB, bad Oline, Ben the road, and new offensive coordinator. This was a game the Bills should have won. The Bills were outcoached and outplayed. It's a long season and I believe the Bills will.bounce back. The AFC is pretty weak as well. However, there is plenty to be concerned about. Glossing if over by saying the Bills weren't supposed to lose doesn't add much value.
  2. The wr had 1.5 seconds to get open. You are focusing on the wrong deficiency.
  3. Elite players shine vs elite opposition.
  4. Foreboding premise is not correct. I don't think anyone is saying the sky is falling or panicking. It's called constructive criticism which often here isn't warranted.
  5. Allen was running for his life. That had nothing to do with the wr. We couldn't run the ball. We couldn't stop them. Nothing to do with Wr
  6. I agree. The Bills were exposed in the playoffs. The offense was barely serviceable in the playoffs. The Bills were fortunate to win vs Indy. Allen wasn't very good that game. The defense won the game vs Balt. KC just ripped us a new one. I see this current team beating mediocre to average teams but struggling against solid playoff contenders.
  7. Overall the defense was solid. However, how much of it was due to the Pittsburgh offense? Pitt has lots of new faces and changes. New coordinator, rookie rb, and an average Oline. Ben on the road isn't nearly as good either. We still lacked a consistent pass rush, failed to get sacks or turnovers. Couldn't stop them when it counted at the end of the game. With that said, the offense, poor coaching, preparation, game plan, play calling, and one special teams play lost the game.
  8. I wasn't joking. Why do you think that? I have no problems with people disagreeing with my comments. Go Levi!!!
  9. - Bills Offense was exposed. The blue print is available. Solid defenses have caught up to the Bills scheme.Too predictable and changes need to happen. If not there's no way this team hoists a Lombardi trophy. - Allen regressed back to his rookie days. Inaccurate, poor mechnics, forced passes, fumbles, and poor vision. Never felt confident watching him today. Hate to say that as a big fan of his. I can't get out of my head that maybe he takes a few steps backwards this year. - Dabol's play calling and game plan was horrific. Not sure what his though process was? Abandoned the run, no screen or slant passes, no designed roll outs for Allen with a run pass option, etc. - McDermott and company usually makes solid second half adjustments. I often enjoy watching the successful "cat and mouse" moves. Big failure on our coaching staff. Up 10-0 at half and at home. Got thoutoghly spanked and out coached at every level in the second half. - Couldn't help but think maybe our coaching staff should have played the starters more during the preseason. They sure looked out of sync. - Milano and White are studs. Nothing more to say. - Knox was one of the few bright spots on offense. - Defense played well but not great. It was really a tale of two halves. The second half was disappointing. They gave up big plays, penalties, and perhaps gassed out. - Great special teams return! Hard to give up a blocked punt for a TD and win a close game. - Levi Mitchell was a big liability out there. - Bills pass rush will improve but it still is concerning. Big Ben is nifty and releases the ball often before he gets hit. - Hope this loss is a wake up call. The Bills won't beat quality teams playing this way with this game plan. - I take Bills losses pretty hard. This one stings because I expected so much from this team. I thoroughly bought into all the media hype. Gonna be a long week... On to Miami...
  10. Right now, I'm still in shock, disbelief, and denial about how bad the Bills looked. Feels like a gut punch! I can't even think about the Miami game right now.
  11. True but watching Allen today made me feel the same way. Tua won't have to do much to win if a similar Bills team shows up next Sunday.
  12. The offensive game plan was very suspect. No screen passes, no slants, no designated Allen roll outs, no RPOs, too much no RB formations, horrific 4th down judgements and calls, ineffective Allen runs between the tackles, etc...Its only one game but i never thought the Bills offense would lay an egg on opening day on their home field.
  13. Partly true. However, it's really more than one game. The offensive shortcomings go back to the playoff games too. I think this team will beat bad to mediocre teams but struggle to win against quality opponents. That's assuming the Bills offense continues to run a similar offense. It's too predictable.
  14. Agree 100%. Not sure why the Bills coaching staff seemingly doesn't grasp this. Last years playoff games pretty much exposed this.
  15. I just don't like the offensive scheme. I think it's way too pass happy, puts too much pressure on Allen, is too reliant on Allen, and vulnerable especially against playoff caliber teams. Teams have much more tape on the Bills scheme and system. Defense almost always catches up with offensive systems. Imho, Cabell and company have to better establish a run game to take some off of Allen's plate. He was almost super human last year and I doubt we see that consistent version of Allen this year. In fact, if you look at the playoff games Allen wasn't that great. Time will tell.
  16. I'm trying not to overreact. There is a lot to be concerned about. Let's be honest. Allen was flat out awful today. He was widely inaccurate missing receivers short and long. Had Sanders wide open for a TD. His footwork was very poor. Frankly, he looked every bit like his rookie year than last year. I always like to see QBs have long term success vs a half season or a one season of success. We have seen several one hit wonder like Cousins, Cam, RG3, etc...Its quite possible Allen regresses this year. Today is a clear and concise example of that.
  17. The offense was out of sync the whole game. I saw far too many cute plays that didn't work. Lack of run attempts, inaccurate Allen, and no offense rhythm. Add in poor coaching, lack of adjustments. Blocked punt for TD, and a worn down defense in the 4th quarter.
  18. This doesn't make me feel any better. Defense was solid but I also think its because the Steeler offense is sub par. New Oline, rookie RB, and now O coordinator. I'm not convinced the Bills D can stop a more high powered efficient offense. Luckily, tje AFC east doesn't have a lot of Offensive power.
  19. This team will only go as far as Allen takes us. If he plays poorly the Bills they most likely lose. Today is a good example of that. The Steeler D is pretty stout vs the run. As a result, I'm not surprised they weren't successful. However, the Bills really never even tried to establish a resemblance of a run game. Take some pressure of Allen. I'm not sure if this type of offense will be as successful as last year. It's only one game but I'm pretty concerned.
