  1. Agree. The Bills have to establish some sort of running game. They can't abandom the run game and let the Pats T off on Allen. I believe Allen will get killed and largely be ineffective. It's what we've seen in the Jags, Pitt, and Colts game. Additionally, this is a difficult game plan defensively for the Bills. Jones is running the offense like an old pro. Almost Brady like. Finding the seams, limiting turnovers and mistakes, making the correct reads. The Pats run game is solid as well. In concluding, I think the winner wins by a field goal. I'm not going to predict a winner. The betting line started put at -3.5 and his now -2.5 buffalo.
  2. Great post! I'm not sure why people are so sensitive to the media giving the Patriots it's due respect. I get the Patriot hate and I'm included in the dislike for the whole organization. Yet, the Patriots deserve the hype. They are playing great on both sides of the ball. It's a masterpiece in progress by Belicheck. The Bills have been nothing but inconsistent. It's hard to have faith in which team shows up. I firmly believe a healthier good version of the Bills is better than the Patriots. However, which bills team shows up on Monday?
  3. They better have a solid offensive game plan. They have to do some things differently on offense. I'm thinking move Allen around in the pocket, a few more RPOs, some quick slants, screens to Brieda, and effective run plays. I think Allen will get killed and be ineffective if he just sits in the pocket and the bills run similar pass patterns. I think Belicheat will take Diggs out of the game.
  4. The Bills DL is a weakness this year. They have been unable to stop the run and apply consistent pressure on the QB. Add in the loss of Tre too. Looks like it's going to be a bend but don't break defense. Hold the opposition to 3s instead of tds. The well balanced and coached Patriot offense will be a monumental task this Monday.
  5. NFL analysts get paid to give their opinions. I don't think they represent their opinions as facts. I believe that's people's intepretation especially if they don't like or agree with the so called analyst.
  6. What do you expect from a New England based reporter? The Bills weaknesses are on both sides of the lines. They got manhandled on the lines vs Pitt, Tenn, Colts, and Jags. The "soft" label isn't a unfair statement. We will see if the Bills can she'd this label and beat the Pats.
  7. I'm thinking the same thing. Right now, the Patriot offense is playing very well. Their balance of run to pass is excellent and Jones is very efficient and accurate with his short throws. Their offense poses a difficult challenge for the Bills. As for the Bills offense, I believe they have to have a slightly different game plan. Keep the Pats off balance and limit their pass rush. If they fail to try to run or can't run the Pats will T off on Allen. Run some screens and quick slants, roll out Allen, use Brieda in the open field, and find Knox early and often. I think Diggs will be doubled and taken out of the game. Allen has to take care of the ball and not force things. Also, lets see how Allen starts off the game. A few games he's been really bad.
  8. I think the Pats Dline is much better than the Bills. How do the Bills contain him and slow him down?
  9. #10 is a very interesting write up. The Bills certainly have been not as consistent as many of us would like. They certainly have some major weaknesses in the trenches. This will most likely be their demise as they play better teams. This game really looks to be a toss up. It's really hard for me to know how the Bills stop the balanced Patriot offense and their relentless pass rush. I think Judon is going to harass Allen all game long. Hoping Jones gets rattled but he looks every bit like a vetern poised QB who stays within the Patriot game plan. Its hard to see Bellicheat getting out coached in this game. He will no doubt play cover 2 and pressure Allen. Thus far, the Bills haven't really figured out how to beat it vs quality teams. What changes now? It's gonna be a huge task and asking for Allen. Once again, he will have to be great for the Bills to win. I'm hopeful the Bills can pull out a win. It certainly will go a long way to silence the critics and pave a path to the playoffs. Another great write up. Thanks
  10. I don't think the Pats defensive game plan is too complicated. Just watch the film on the Tenn, Pitts, Colts, and Jags game. It's playing physical on both sides of the lines. Pressure Allen and play various zones. Pound the rock. The Bills really haven't had answers to combat this strategy. I'm assuming the Bills coaching staff is going to make several adjustments to enhamce their success. Maybe its more Brieda on offense. I'd like to see more of Allen rolling out and creating plays. Perhaps a few more RPOs too. Defensively, I think the Pats will move the ball consistently. They are very balanced and efficient. The key is to hold them to field goals instead tds.
  11. Is Judon going to be harassing Allen all game? Will Allen even have time to go through his progressions?
  12. Stats don't tell the whole picture no matter what side you are leaning towards. There are so many other factors in play as others mentioned. Wasted opportunity isn't the best of words. I think I was too strong on that comment. However, in real time I did want the Bills to go after him. As pointed out several factors may not have made it work. At the time, I was disappointed the Bills made no effort or seemingly so to sign him. Pitt was the superior team. No one expected the Jags to win.
  13. Agree. As a Bills fan its hard for me to be confident about this game. Im hopeful but not confident the Bills get the win. The Patriots are playing at another level on both sides of the ball. Have arguably the beat coach in NFL history, and the Bills have been very inconsistent with there play. Hard to know what Bills team shows up? I think we know what Patriot team shows up. If the Bills play well and execute they ahould win the game. Thats a big if though...
  14. Everyone wants to avoid how Singletary can't score touchdowns. The guy simple sucks at getting into the end zone. The stats don't lie. Fournette got 4 tds yesterday which equates to Singletary's career numbers. I guess it's no biggie to have your featured back score tds.
  15. They didn't make the playoffs and beat the Billa because of Bortels. He sucked pretty much the whole year and they won despite him. He couldn't pass for dog poop and hia legs were his best asset. The team won because of there defense and pounding the rock with Fournette. Absolutely! Agree 100%.
  16. I think the Patriots are better in the trenches. I'm not sure the Bills will be able to stop the Patriots balanced attack. Additionally, I don't see the Bills slowing down the Pats pass rush. Buffalo has some advantages. Home crowd should help, a superior QB, and a much better receiving core. I think this is a field goal game either way. I'd take the Pats +3.5.
  17. Who was his QB? What team did he play for? Paint the whole picture please. No but the great Jacksonville team did. I believe he was being led by future hall of framer Blake Bortles.
  18. Knowing what we know now, anyone that knows football would take Fournette over Singletary. So stop with the stats.
  19. The young QB looks very poised and dialed into the Patriots offensive schemes. Their rush game and Oline are solid too. I suspect it will be difficult to sack him because he's going to get rid of the ball quickly. He seems really intelligent and able to make the right reads. Lastly, I'm fearful that Allen will not have time to throw. I don't know how the Bills Oline slows down their pass rush.
  20. Wow! This has to be one of the best posts I've read. Absolutely spot on and brutally honest. I look forward to seeing more of your input. It was a pleasure. Well said well done.👍
  21. So true and good point. Buffalo missed it but so did every other team except the Patriots. The comparasion isnt really fair because Fournette was a known commodity. His production went downhill due to being in Jacksonville and being unhappy. His skill set was pretty well known. People here tend to forget how effective he was. Playerprofiler.com has him ranked as RB12. Yet, you guys want sell me Singletary. Lol
  22. Come on Thurman, Singletary is a dime a dozen in the NFL. Nothing special about the guy. He's replaceable in a heart beat. The Bills brass drafted Moss and seemingly liked him better. They both are adequate at best. At least Fournette can find the end zone and get the tough yards on 3rd and 4th down.
  23. Are you saying Singletary is better than Fournette? Can Singletary get into the end zone? Let's get real. How many TDs jas he scored? Singletary can't move a pile or get a 1 yard on 3rd down. Why you think they drafted Moss.
  24. I'm not buying the he didn't want to come to Buffalo. Buffalo was and is a place lots of players want to play at. Buffalo has a solid reputation now and the team is looked at as a top tier AFC team by many. I believe they could have landed him if they really wanted too. At that time, I felt like he was worth getting vs an unknown or mediocre RB from the draft. Let's not forget Fournette was a beast for awhile in Jacksonville. We all should have known the talent was there. The front office has failed to adequately provide a solid running game with a solid offensive line. Until then hope and pray Allen is "god like" on the field. Right on! This is fair. 👍
