  1. So are WR3s unimportant to a football team? Can't they be an important piece to help teams win games? In a team game, strong components help teams win games. A good to great WR3 can really help out an offense. I think Sanders can be that guy for the Bills. I think it's shallow and micro to mitigate the importance of a WR3.
  2. If he's a quality wr (your own words) wouldn't it be reasonab You are contradicting yourself.
  3. Damn, that was a polite tongue lashing. People you have to do your homework or you will be called out. This is an example of it. Nice post!
  4. I agree. Only get Ertz if he's on the cheap. I can see a team overpaying for him but not Beanie and the Bills. Maybe he will take a discount to come to the Bills. That sounds weird saying it. Oh it felt so good though... I don't think so. It's obvious we lacked a pass rush. Epanesa and Oliver might step it up a notch. I think Bills in a win now mode will add another pass rusher via free agency or the draft.
  5. I agree he doesn't blow but I feel his best days are behind him. He has lots of tread on the tires, is 30 years old and injury prone. I'm just not jumping for joy or holding my breath hoping to get him. He would be an upgrade to the Bills TE position. I'm not opposed to the move if the price is right.
  6. I think you are right. We have other needs that should take priority. Pass rusher, rb, and cb come to mind.
  7. Without getting into salary and cap numbers (which is impossible) I would really like Fuller and Galloway in a Bills uniform.
  8. Didn't hear the news. Thanks. I knew GB wouldn't let him walk. Maybe N. Harris from Alabama.
  9. I agree. We really missed him in the middle last year. Star isn't worth the money the Bills are paying him but he does add value to our suspect D line and run D.
  10. Availability and his ability to stay on the field is a huge concern. I cannot pretend it isn't. I'm hoping he can stay healthy and play most of the season(s). With that said, I like the risk and the signing. Milano is elite when he's on the field. He makes everyone much better, makes big plays, and is a leader out there. I believe he gives the Bills the best chance to make another super bowl run. To boot, I think we signed him for a little home town discount. Also, other teams will be in the mix like the Browns, Ravens, Titans, Dolphins, and Indy. Bills will not have an easy path to the super bowl. I've never been so excited about an upcoming season.
  11. I hear you. At this point, I'm not second guessing their front office moves. They brought home the Lombardi Trophy.
  12. Maube I am in the minority. I'm glad the Bills didn't over pay for Watt.
  13. Solid post. Star should help in regards. I would love to see Fletcher Cox in a Bills uniform. Instant upgrade to our defense. Also, seems like a good motivator and leader who can help out our younger players.
  14. No disputing that. Brady has always been difficult to sack even though he's not mobile. He is beyond smart, knows how to read a defense, and gets the ball out quick. Quite different to Allen's skill set Josh will take more sack due to extending plays with his legs. However, you have to give KC a lot of credit. They harassed Allen all game. Took away the edges and had him running for his life. I'm sure this will be used as a blueprint to beat the Bills. Similarly, the Bucs game plan vs the Chiefs. Coaches and front offices have a lot to digest in this off season. Fyi, always been a fan of your posts.
  15. Of course we can't know for sure. However, I disagree with your premise. The Chiefs are a better team. A poor match up for the Bills because we have no one to stop Kelce and a defense that lacks a consistent pass rush and isn't great at stoping the run. On offense the Bills are too one dimensional. They waxed the Bills 2xs and that wasn't coincidental. A break here or there wouldn't have made a difference. In fact, one could argue the Bills did get the breaks. Hill dropped a 3rd down pass deep in Bills territory and the Chiefs muffed a punt and gave thw Bills the ball inside the 5 yard line. Come on brother. Love the Bills, but they weren't going to win that game unless Mahomes breaks his leg. Hopefully, the Bills will be even hungrier, draft well, make a few key pick ups, and players develop more. The Bills future looks bright but KC is the cream of the crop. Buffalo, Clev, Pitts, Balt, Indy, Tenn are trying to dethrone KC. Next year is going to be fun.
  16. I agree. You have to have a decent run game by not a great one. One that keeps the defense honest. Without that you become too easy to defend. KC was able to tee off on a mobile Allen. Yet, they generated little pass rush on Brady who can't move.
  17. Sorry, I was talking about the Bills football team.
  18. Let's post a complete career statistic not just one year. Who has a super bowl ring? Allen had a great year. Can't take that away from him. I hope he gets better and becomes the undisputed best QB in the league!. However, let's pause the brakes a little. Many QBs have had good or great stretches and haven't panned out. Kap, Cousins, RG3, Wentz, Cam, Jimmy G, etc... Allen wasn't exactly great in any of this year's playoff games. That is somewhat worrisome. I'm thrilled for the future but I'm not ready to pronounce him as a savior. Mahomes has the ring to flaunt it. He has already earned his title as a franchise QB. Allen still has to proceed and progress forward imho. Just speaking the the truth sir. No offense intended
  19. Since when have the Bills beat Brady and Gronk in a meaningful game? Ponder that one. Agree 100%. The Chiefs are and were a better team than us. Our defense is exploitable and we can't run the ball. The Chiefs will beat us 8.5 games out of 10 with our current rosters.
  20. Anyone who thinks the Bills would have beaten the Bucs simply don't know football and or they are blinded by the "Bills homerism."
  21. Why is Yledon still on the team? He Seems pretty useless and replaceable. We can and should do better.
  22. He sure seems like a nice cheap option for us.
  23. It's really hard to predict how many points it will take. Too many unknown variables. Imho, the key to us winning is not giving up the big plays and playing solid red zone defense. Which happens to be one of our strengths. The Chiefs will score and make some big plays. However, we need to force them to field goals not tds. I'm really not overly focused on stopping their run game. The Chiefs can and will attack you on all levels. Their offense is just that dynamic and talented. Secondly, is protecting Allen. Last game the Chiefs harassed Allen all game. I'd say it was one of his worse games of the season. Along that line, the Bills have to be semi successful running. This will keep the Chiefs from teeing off on Allen. Thirdly, I think the turnover battle will be key. If we turnover over the ball we have little chance of winning. Fourth, win the 3rd down battle. Seems like we have been giving up some big 3rd and long plays. Nothing deflates a team more than this. Obviously, executing 3rd downs bold well to winning. Lastly, it's about how the Bills play and attack the game plan. We can't play conservative or scared. Play smart but not passive. Game 6 vs the Chiefs was playing scared. Go down or win playing to win! Just my 2 cents.
  24. Being scared has nothing to do with it. It's about talent and execution mixed in with a little luck. Imho, both of those teams are better than us. Also, they have proven track records which brought home super rings and the Lombardi Trophy. Our chances seem slim but nevertheless there is hope. Stranger and bigger upsets have happened. Go Bills!
