  1. When it's the QB? And wasn't he still in the pocket? We'll see. They fined Tom Brady, anything can happen
  2. Although for what it's worth, Singletary had his best game of the season....85 yds on 17 carries plus another 22 yds receiving. Second game this season where the Bills leading rusher was not named Josh Allen
  3. I think that's reasonably likely to occur. It was a dirty play and a lot of people are reacting to it. Tripping, is I think the call. Very strange reffing in that game IMHO. Some fairly nothingburger DH/DPI calls on both teams. A huge amount of uncalled holding on OL, I noticed it more on the Chiefs of course but I'm sure our guys did their share. There were a couple other calls that I thought were bad misses.

  6. TBH I kind of felt that pretty blatant tripping and the non-call kind of fired up our guys
  7. It’s a really good question. I don’t think that’s an ordinary set o’ “sore ribs” or even a hairline fracture or two. I believe if there is concern about a potential collapsed lung, flying would be precluded.
  8. So how does that work if they turn out to be wrong for the field? Can the cleat part just be changed out? Warner does not disappoint
  9. Fair enough, but I do think they changed some stuff and not for the better
  10. It's what 4 straight SB losses will do for team
  11. The Bills (publicly) are a professional, level-headed team "never too high, never too low". Underneath, there are little hints and flashes they may be a bit more emotionally invested than that. The way Allen attacked Jalen Ramsey, for example. I trust our guys to prepare and put the work in and keep the mindset "it's the most important game because it's the next game", but underneath -- there has to be a little extra edge. You know McD wanted to stomp Mike Tomlin, the guy who was the starting WR when he was the freshman walk-on DB. And you know McD wants to kick Andy Reid's butt, the coach who fired him as DC. I'll tell you one thing, McD looked quite smiley (for him) getting on the team plane. I'm more interested in what (if anything) Kurt Warner had to say.
  12. Exactly. I believe it was during the Pitts Steelers Superbowl run in the '70s, one of the players said to the effect "you better take those rings off and put 'em on a shelf, Boys, they won't help you this game" Interesting response. Would you be taking those remarks personally for some reason when I'm "telling it like it is?" You can search my activity and review my posting history if you're curious about what I post.
  13. Question: does Michael Irvin ever care what anyone else says? His logic seems flawed to me. I mean, Gabe Davis had 171 yds last week. As it happens, Gabe Davis had 201 yds and 4 TDs against the Chiefs last playoffs. Why aren't we talking about "Can the Chiefs contain Gabe Davis?" Hill is a great player, and he had a long reception of 64 yds. Great players will bust long plays on the Bills on occasion. Other than that, he had 10 receptions for 8.6 yds/reception. That's not what arguably lost the Bills the game and yes it goes deeper than 13 seconds. The engine that made Hill great was Mahomes, and #15 is still on the team, and still has Kelce, has restocked with 3 other WR, and has a much better run game supporting him. The Bills are missing their top safety Micah Hyde and their all-pro CB Tre White. If by some fluke we lose, the Bills will suck it up and grind and try to get their secondary better with the addition of Tre White, the cast off Benford, and the learning experience/growth for Hamlin and Elam.
  14. LOL Bills don't even have to lose. Folks will go nuclear when Josh misses a throw (or Heavens forbid, throws a pick) or the other team scores a TD. Bills should fire McDermott, he has a history of bad coaching decisions and he's never gonna be good enough, Beane's drafts suck and his team building strategy is wrong, Josh Allen is 100% responsible for losing us that game, etc etc etc. Then the Bills win and it's 95% sunshine. Some have the self-awareness and honesty to loop back and own their bad takes and say "I overreacted, I'm gonna do better". Others do that Cat-fall thing, you know, where the cat backs off a table and falls and stalks off projecting an attitude "I Meant to Do That". It's actually quite amusing in the abstract.
  15. Yes, you're correct, pretty sure we used Tre White a lot on Kelce last reg. season and it worked to "contain" a bit I meant this season. Against Andrews and Freiermuth. Think Joe B wrote about how the Bills have been handling TE, will look. Of course Kelce is in a class by himself but Andrews has some similarities in that he's Jackson's "Guy", leading the team in receiving yards and targets. He normally gets 9-10 targets and 70 yds a game, Bills held him to 2 receptions on 5 targets for 15 yds.
  16. All I can say is I hope this guy has no connection to the Refs for the game - co-worker, partner of a kid, etc etc.
  17. Time out - what have you seen from the Pats this year that makes you feel they're running a good NFL offense with reins to give out? Serious question....
  18. Um...there were QB taken after him. One of whom (and this may not say enough) may be at least on the same level in Davis Mills. I think the problems the Pats are having this year have less to do with Mac Jones and more to do with Matt Patricia and whoever else is cooking up that O. Reason the NE fans think that may have to do with the fact that a couple of NE's QB selections are starting for other teams. Jimmy Garappolo SF 2014 2nd Jacoby Brissett CLE 2016 3rd It's pretty remarkable. Then there's Brian Hoyer, who has done a league tour and started for an almost Fitz-like selection of teams And the curious case of Matt Cassel, who I believe never threw a pass in college, went 10-5 in the Bradyless year, 10-5 2 yrs later for KC, then nothin' I'm not trying to say Mac Jones is Brady, just to point out that there's some basis for NE fans thinking Belicheck has some kind of QB talent eye and it wasn't just McDaniel's system.
  19. Interesting that you see it that way. I see Roman as providing the perfect system that works to Lamar's talents. I'm not saying there aren't other systems that Lamar could excel in, but I think there are definitely some that would not suit.
  20. I have no disagreement there - Benford is absolutely a Keeper. But I'd prefer that the guy trying to hold on to Kelce and tackle him possess two unimpaired hands. That ***** guy is hard enough to tackle with two hands.
  21. I believe he's referencing the fact that Miami lost their 1st rounder. So only 31 picks in the 1st round.
  22. I believe we used a combination of Taron Johnson and Matt Milano to cover TE in previous games The Chiefs do have WR who must be accounted for. Now it's true that Kelce has the most receiving yards on the team, but one can't quite ignore TikTok Boy, Valdez-Scantling, and Hardman. You guys want a nickel CB or a LB on them? He had two good hands at the time
  23. Yes, day before game by 4 pm Eastern. None on Buffalo Bills transctions page, none on Buffalo Bills PR Twitter, none reported by national pundits like Rapoport and Schefter. A cornerback playing with a club is historically not a pretty sight, even if he's a very very good CB
