Daniel Jeremiah's Top 50 Prospects in the 2018 NFL Draft
PIZ replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love the electricity of Lamar Jackson. I'm just not a good enough talent evaluator to say if I think he will be good in the NFL. I lean on the "experts" for that, and I don't see many people saying he is a sure-fire NFL starter in their minds. -
That makes a ton of sense. Then Pat Shurmor and Gettleman don't get the NY media or fans on his ass about starting the #2 pick in the draft, who happens to be a QB, and who happens to be the heir apparent to a Manning. They can comfortably build their roster without having that worry, and can groom their rookie (drafted 21 or 22 or later or Davis) without feeling the pressure to start Rosen (or other). Yeah, I like your way of thinking. I just talked my way, with your help, into believing that this may happen. I was a believer in Peterman too. Thought he was an awesome pick. I just don't think he showed anything at all in his brief appearances to make me believe he can carry this team. I think he could be a great #2, but I don't see starter in him anymore.

Daniel Jeremiah's Top 50 Prospects in the 2018 NFL Draft

Would love to get one of the top 3 QBs (not sure on Allen) + Harrison Phillips DT - Stanford, but that doesn't look possible. -
The quote "to the Bills" seems to imply that this is a done deal. How likely is it that the two teams actually agreed on a deal? (assuming Darnold hoes 1). 'Josh Rosen to the Bills is what I've heard repeatedly,' says Eric Galko. http://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2018/02/josh_rosen_to_the_buffalo_bills_is_what_ive_heard_repeatedly_says_eric_galko.html

There were dozens of predraft articles and analysts that said he was a first round pick. Several had him reuniting with Doug Marrone and had the Bills taking him in the first. This article said he could "skyrocket to the 1st overall pick". I can't be the only one that remembers the Nassib hype and 1st round projections. https://www.nunesmagician.com/syracuse-football/2013/2/8/3965066/nfl-draft-2013-ryan-nassib-syracuse-football

No chance they take Barkley at 1 and then a QB (Darnold, Rosen, Mayfield, Allen) at 4 if they like all 4 QBs? If the Bills trade up to 2, and have their pick of any of the 4, who would they take? Also, regarding another post you had about Trubisky. Was it confirmed last year that the Bills tried to trade up for him, or were contemplating trading up for him? I thought I read that somewhere. Also, regarding another post you made about "these deals are already agreed upon" in some cases. I wonder how many times these teams have a "deal in place" in Feb-Mar and then a better deal comes along. Do you think these teams have integrity when it comes to these hand-shake deals? Just trying to NOT get my hopes up.

Bills hire Terry Robiskie as WR coach

They named the Hail Mary after his Mom. I remember one time He and Jon Dorenbos' had a 'magic off". He turned water into wine and it was all over. -
Were Daboll and Mccaron in Alabama together? Nevermind... should have taken a minute to check his bio. Didn't realize Daboll was only at Alabama for 2017.

Not doubting you at all on Darnold. Would love to have him. Realistically, what would it take for us to get the #1 pick, to guarantee you get Darnold? If the Bills brass really believes Darnold is the top QB in the draft, and a franchise type QB, I would think they go after him with everything. I would think we could offer: 1st round pick 21. 1st round pick 22. 3rd round pick. Cordy Glenn. (Cleveland could then trade Joe Thomas for a pick, which I've seen rumored). Tyrod Taylor. Is that enough to get the #1 pick? Is that giving them more than enough?

Seems Beane / McDermott / Bills could have trade partners with: 1. Giants.... GM relationship. 2. Texans.... GM relationship. 3. Panthers... team relationship. Possible new GM Lake Dawson too. 4. Colts.... team relationship. 5. Eagles.... previous trade partner. 6. Browns... previous trade partner. 7. Chiefs... Andy Reid. Previous trade partner.

2012 Washington drafted RG3 in the 1st and Cousins in the 4th. In the 2012 draft, the Colts picked Luck in the first and Chandler Harnish in the 7th. The Packers drafted Brian Brohm and Matt Flynn in 2008. Dallas took Troy Aikman in the first round of the 89 draft, and Steve Walsh in the first round of the 89 Supplemental draft. In 2010 the Panthers technically drafted 3 QB's, although they moved one to wide receiver. Jimmy Clausen, Armanti Edwards (moved to WR) and Tony Pike. Carmazzi and Rattay...49ers 2000. Found some of this on Reddit.

What about Rosen? I'm starting to think he's the target.

That is the best post I've seen in a long time. Super awesome. Your kid is awesome. Cool that he asked about trading up for a QB.

QB's... Where they land... Story on NFL.com
PIZ replied to BuffaloDave55's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Woops...I missed that in your post. Sorry. I agree, I would like to get either Darnold, Rosen, or Cousins. Not sure on Mayfield, but all the others are not huge upgrades, which is what I prefer as well. I want someone that can be our QB for the next 15 years, and be a top 10 NFL QB. Someone you see in commercials, holding up the Lombardi trophy.
