Are McBeane secretly creating an elite offense?
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to BullBuchanan's topic in The Stadium Wall
lol I feel like bills fans should know better than probably every other fanbase how demoralizing and frustrating it can be when a team goes heavy and just rams the running game down your throat and you’ve got no answers. Everyone talks like mcd is the only guy in the nfl that likes to play nickel but that’s the base defense of the nfl and everyone is loaded up to get after passers. A good running game fundamentally changes everything from how pretty much every opposing defense likes to play. I don’t think epa per play is really capturing that.. the whole thing is all just pretty ironic because the threat of a josh Allen run has been opening up a lot in the passing game for years. to each their own though I’ve gotta agree to disagree. Maybe it doesn’t apply to you specifically but I think a lot of people are taking a good running game and what goes into it for granted -

Josh Allen’s Halloween Costume is Awesome
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m not sure this is from this year lol Hailee just did some interview and their past Halloween costumes came up -
He’s been pretty good in Miami tbh haha. Not sure if he was banged up last year or what

Here’s to hoping we find out 😂. But I’d bet my paycheck there will be quite a bit of ‘he’s a mediocre coach that got lucky’ talk were he to ever win one lol.

I don’t get the negative spin being put on running games in some of these comments tbh…everyone makin it sound like we’re just trying to run out the clock lol. This team has absolute beef to pound the run and we want to do it less? It’ll never make sense to me. The running game is just as capable of hitting big plays as the passing game especially if teams start loading the box which takes second level defenders away. Nothing puts more pressure on an opposing defense than a good running game like yea obviously we miscalculated at wr, you want guys that can actually do things in the passing game on top of run blocking lol but the general hate for running the ball I see on here is pretty shocking. It really is a big part of keeping that chiefs defense on their toes. They probably have the best pass defense in the league with a coordinator that’s sending all kinds of crazy blitzes -
Eagles fans started complaining about Sirianni awfully quick after their superbowl win to be fair 😂 heck a lot of people wanted him fired midseason the year they did win it despite them recently appearing in one lol

My new theory is they woulda fired McDaniel too but they’ve got nobody that can call an offense without him lol

Kansas City.... Who/What do you despise the most?
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to henry jones's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’d argue that Josh is doing as good a job as anyone against spags…I would’ve even say he can’t beat spags and Reid. At the time we had the two highest scoring totals on the chiefs starting defense for 2024 (Super Bowl knocked us down to #2 and #3) I think the bills offense would’ve scored 75 on the bills defense down benford and Rapp last year 😂 -

I had a begrudging respect for mahomes until he whined about that offensive Offside and had to be held back from a ref lol now I despise him -

Steelers ownership growing frustrated with Tomlin

Haha I gotta rewatch that game now -

I mean if we’re nitpicking to that level I think we gotta talk about how improbable that James Harrison 100 yard INT return was before halftime in tomlin’s superbowl win haha Pretty sure the cardinals got hosed by the refs in that one also although admittedly I don’t remember it too well -
2024 rapp actually was a big loss haha he didn’t play against the chiefs in the playoffs. Gets overshadowed by benford going down crazy early

Was just gonna say that haha…Tomlin who wasn’t even involved in the selection of roethlisberger at all has been what everyone is afraid mcd will be post Josh for almost a decade now and he’s still there 😂 -

Tomlin took over a roster that recently won a Superbowl because the previous coach retired. Not really trying to discredit everything he’s done but it’s not like he righted the ship of a failing franchise. Mcd and Tomlin comparisons are apples and oranges…once the roster from the cowher days was mostly turned over Tomlin won nothing.. Tomlin wasn’t even around for the selection of his franchise qb so he kinda deserves even less credit than mcd in that regard lol -
I think Stefanski is a better fit not sure if hes gonna survive this offseason or not though

Jags listening to trade calls for Brian Thomas
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
Jags would never take that even if they were actively open to trading him which I still don’t believe. I think it’s more ‘someone called on BTJs availability and Jax said sure if you give us an arm and a leg he’s available’ -
As much as I think Brady is meh he’s kinda one of the biggest HC prospects by default haha. The guys available seem really underwhelming. He’s underwhelming too but probably could argue he’s the least underwhelming lol

Has a gm ever been fired midseason without firing the coach? This feels weird to me but it might not be lol
 -
Felt like they bottomed out for awhile and then had a ton of resources for a full rebuild mcdaniel’s first season. He was bad obviously but I can kinda see how he hung around. Probably got the ‘tua injury excuse’ for a year or two and then when tua was healthy and they were still regressing badly Grier got the axe
