  1. Really hoping the Bills opt to put the game in Allen's hands and don't get too clever with the coaching.
  2. Does their performance this season somehow increase the productivity/value the Bills got from the draft pick used for them?
  3. Looking for some numbers to hang my hat on: Since the beginning of of the 2022 season (over 1400 games), the team that had the higher passer rating in a game won 80% of the games (aside, pass and stop the pass being the key to winning in the NFL) In 2023 The Bills have had five games where the other team had a higher passer rating. The Bills lost all five of these games. In 2023 The Eagles have also had five games where the other team had a higher passer rating. The Eagles won four of these games. One possible conclusion. The Eagles are very good at overcoming a weak passing/pass defense game. And the Bills are very bad at that. I reject this conclusion for game day. Alternative conclusion. The Bills should really be 7-4 and have had poor luck, and the Eagles really should be 6-4, and the Eagles have just been super lucky. Further today will see the regression towards the mean of this luck factor, and the Bills will win the game in a blowout.
  4. Buy Josh Allen Sell Fans who think Josh Allen is a cause of the Bills 2023 woes Hold Paige Spiranac
  5. Controlling it, and slowing it down, will likely be a mistake. I don't think McDermott has ever been comfortable manageing a shoot out pace game.
  6. Beat the eagles requires stopping their passing game. They have only five losses since the beginning of the 2022 season. The average passer rating in those five losses is an abysmal 80.4. In their 23 wins in that time span, their average passer rating was an elite 101.9. Hurts passer rating tends to go down, the more he is passes. (cause and effect is a bit mushy regarding this statement) Allens passer rating is more or less independent of volume. The Bills best chance to win this game is to try to control the tempo of this game in a way that leads to a shootout.
  7. it’s hard to compare eras. But Jim Brown avg over five per carry when defenses were focused primarily on stopping the run AND allowed to tackle by face masking
  8. By NFL standards, Miami is a medium sized market, 18th https://ustvdb.com/seasons/2022-23/markets/
  9. Tua Tagovailoa: 404 touches 14 turnovers (3.47%) Josh Allen: 435 touches 15 turnovers (3.45%) One is an MVP Candidate, the other is a turnover machine. Make it make sense.
  10. after today, they have played the same number
  11. I wish people would just admit the Jets defense is mediocre. Their offense scores 10 points a game, and opposing offenses barely try.
  12. the level of effort in so many games this season, looks like preseason.
  13. The last time I saw such a ridiculous play in a Jets game, was an overtime game, where the Jets returned a punt for a TD to win the game.
  14. Saleh should be fired at half time.
  15. The Jets offense blows in every way an offense can blow
  16. Saleh is just sticking it to the Bills
  17. Lots of people worked yesterday, yet they had games. Don't take in personal. Most people have or took today off.
  18. Jets defense is over rated. Their numbers are gift of other teams knowing they only need 17 points to win the game.
  19. Hackett really lives a path of despair in his wake. Jets need to put Wilson in. Wilson sucks, but Boyle looks like a high school QB out there.
  20. I want McDermott to win the Super Bowl this year. But If they don't advance past the divisional round of the playoff game, it is quite reasonable to say he had 6 years (a very long NFL coach tenure for someone who doesn't get past the divisional round of playoffs) and is not owed any further opportunities to try. As an aside, the Bills have become perenial playoff contenders because Tom Brady left New England and Josh Allen arrived in Buffalo. It has very very little too do with the Bills coaching staff.
  21. Tomlin and Harbaugh are given the benefit of the doubt by their organizations because they have won super bowls. Doug Pederson will happily explain that sometimes even that is not enough. Ask yourself, who helped their team more, Steelers and Ravens hanging on to their coaches indefinitely, or the Eagles making a change. I am sure different people will answer that question differently, just pointing out the Bills are hardly facing a unique decision.
