In the past I have seen a lot of discussion on "QB Purgatory" referring to teams who have guys like Andy Dalton or who are good enough to get you to an occasional playoff game, and too good to allow you to ever have that tank season to get the top draft picks to get a superstar QB. I am wondering if there is such thing as "HC purgatory", a guy who will never get you to the championship game, but will be good enough to keep you from replacing him as a head coach". Norv Turner and Marvin Lewis come to mind. This is my primary concern with McDermott.

As a fan I always want to win every game and look at the decision making in the silo of the game I am watching. I think the rotation concept may extend past fresh legs in a game, but is also an attempt to keep players fresher for games 18 and beyond.

My concern is that Daboll and the team has lost Josh. The constant parade of jail break pass rushes, holding penalties, stuffed running plays and dropped passes has to take a toll. Josh no longer seems confident in anyone other than Diggs. Maybe Knox.

Allen's first int was on 3rd and 28. The drive was over either way. Maybe we squeek off with 3. The second interception happened when the game was over anyway. McKenzie's fumble ended the game for all practical purposes. -

Can "process guys" also be "smash mouth" guys? -

Josh goes wild, Bills dominate, win by double digits. -
The NFL is a business. Recent employee problems include a coach nearly killing a young girl in a drunken car crash. A player killing a young woman in a drunken car crash. An inappropriate private email sent by an employee, when they were not employee, nine years ago. Multiple instances of domestic violence. It seems like the ALLEGATION of a false medical record is pretty far down the list of problems the NFL deals with. Never heard a priest say that during a homily. Have heard that after the Mass is over before people leave though.

Forget Running Backs, line up an extra Tackle in that RB position.

Picking up the Blitz or double team assignment from deep in the backfield is an easier blocking assignment than playing on the line. -

The bolded addresses the point, its a trade off, more time for Josh, and give up the RB production. -
No RB on our team runs better than Josh. When Josh has time to pass in the pocket he shreds offenses. Instead of worrying about whether Breida or some one else can "chip someone" why not line up a tackle or guard (or 2) in the back field whose sole job is to be Josh's bodyguard(s). I think giving Josh the extra time will improve the offense more than adding extra dimensions. I realize this seems insane, but I am kind of curious how people think this would work out.

The quintessential Patriots pure execution play was the QB sneak on 4th and short. Everyone in the stadium knew it was coming and every defense was powerless to stop it. The non-stop slants to Welker, then Edelman were 99% predictable and due to near perfect execution impossible to stop. Coaching up the perfect execution was the key, not disguising the plays. It takes coaching + talent to get perfect execution. It is a rare combination. When it comes together you have a champion.

Misdirection and disguise are not remotely the same concept, in the context of the post I replied too. Your comment is incorrect. The part in bold defines the very best teams. How many games did the Bills lose to the Patriots in the last 20 years because we didn't know it was going to be a passing play?
-
Shotgun might not be enough, maybe he should be at punter depth. A run game that works by disguise isn't a run game at all.

Complete tears are less painful than partial. Nothing pulling. I have seen high school basket player play a full season on a complete tear while wearing a brace.

ACL tears can be relatively painless. https://www.chrisbaileyorthopaedics.com/blog/6-misconceptions-acl-injuries/

The NFL seems to endorse systemic misogyny.

It was having to seem homely people in a chintzy looking pool every five minutes during the game.

This years Bills are making me bipolar. Sunday morning my team is "the most complete team in the NFL" "Super Bowl Winning favorite" . Sunday evening they are the team that lost to to one of the worst teams in the league. My primary concern is that the Titans played a very physical game against us. And it paid dividends. And teams learned from that. The Jaguars from the first play tried to rile the Bills by tough hard and borderline dirty play against us. And we bit. The first Jaguars drive seems like it had 70 yards of frustration penalties against us. Then the online got embarrassingly pushed around. I am not intending to pick on Tremaine Edmunds in particular. But he is the leader of the defense, and the people who love his game point out that he is some sort of finesse and skill player not a "smash mouth" MLB. We are a finesse team, and other teams can't out finesse us, so they will try to bully us. And we do not seem to be responding well.

Dante Scarnecchia had the Pats online playing at a high level for a generation. Any chance we have coaching deficiency in this area?

Carlos Hyde is something like 53 years old and not a starter. He plays behind the vaunted and highly regarded Jaguars Oline. He outplayed our RBs by a considerable margin yesterday. The oline sucks. Having RBs who are not powerful, not fast, and not particularly shifty playing behind a crappy online does not seem to work.

this is not an entirely bad idea.
