  1. If a team wanted Moore, they could have signed him in the offseason. He’s got 1 catch for 5 yards on 4 targets so far in the pre-season and is likely to get cut. Trades have to make sense for both sides, and it’s hard to envision a scenario in which a team is willing to give up draft capital for him.
  2. He’s clearly alluding to Samuel, but who is going to take on that contract for a guy with chronic lower body issues and minimal production?
  3. He was the most important teammate of Josh’s career and helped push him from a player with immense talent into a perennial MVP candidate. With the Bills, he was consistently a top 10 WR bordering on top 5 every year. Don’t think he was ever a truly elite player, though. His name will come up every year in HOF voting discussions, but I don’t see him getting in. As 808 mentioned, there are just too many WRs in his era that had better overall careers than he did. He’s also not going to have a fan base that is really pushing for him to get in.
  4. I don’t think that was BBQ he ate. Looked more like turf and turf.
  5. It’s not true, though. Beane has given him Rapp, Bishop, Hamlin, Forrest, and Lewis at the Safety spot. Why are people blaming McDermott for the fact that Hamlin is the best option of the bunch? It’s not like he’s blocking Kyle Hamilton from getting playing time.
  6. Bosa has literally zero trade value. Buffalo just signed him as a free agent. If another team wanted him at that price point, they would have signed him.
  7. They brought in Gable Steveson (seriously, why TF would they do that) last year and drafted Maxwell Hairston in the first. I don’t think they’re too worried about bringing in potential character risks.
  8. I agree with you. So with that being the case, why not trade for one if the opportunity presents itself?
  9. Honest question. What has Beane done in terms of roster building that has pushed the team’s talent level ahead of teams like Philadelphia, Baltimore and Kansas City? I think most would agree that Buffalo had pretty mediocre drafts in 2023 and 2024, and they lost Diggs while still eating $30+ million in dead cap. Philadelphia had monster drafts both of those years and added Saquan. Kansas City hasn’t drafted nearly as well as Philadelphia during that period, but they did add a few impact WRs. Baltimore has drafted well and added Derrick Henry. I just don’t see how you can put the blame on McDermott when his roster has (IMO) regressed compared to their biggest competitors. Adding Keon Coleman and Cole Bishop while losing Stefon Diggs doesn’t strike me as the recipe for instant improvement relative to what those other teams have done.
  10. So would you rather have those guys or Micah Parsons?
  11. Because I was responding to this question:
  12. Sure, but 26 year old game wreckers don’t hit free agency. 7 years of Josh’s career has been spent waiting for the perfect storm to deliver a guy like that, and it hasn’t happened. Beane is pretty unique in his ability to find good football players anywhere in the draft. What he’s been incapable of is finding an elite talent in the draft since drafting Josh with his first ever selection. Why not just lean into his strengths as a GM by buying a superstar and counting on Beane to fill in the gaps with cheap talent through second and third day picks? I mean, if a roster full of good-but-not-great players surrounding a superstar QB was enough to win a Super Bowl, Buffalo would be a dynasty.
  13. Not saying you’re wrong, but I just don’t understand this line of thinking. Hoping to find a HOF caliber pass rusher drafting at the bottom of each round is risky. Two late first round picks is roughly equal to a mid first round pick. Beane had pick 16 and drafted Tremaine Edmunds. He had the 9th pick and took Ed Oliver. There is nothing about Beane’s draft history that suggests he’s going to land a game wrecker in the draft, and even with trading for one, there’s nothing to stop him from trying to find another one with day 2-3 picks. Josh is 29 years old. You are smack dab in the prime of the best player your franchise will ever have. Why get price conscious now?
  14. Buffalo should be all over that deal. Give Beane a mid round pick, and he drafts a pretty good player. Give him a first round pick, and he drafts…a pretty good player. Go get a stud. If it costs you the next Hairston, Coleman, Kincaid, Elam, etc., so be it. Just keep finding Benford, Shakir, Knox, and Johnson with day 2 and 3 picks.
  15. They’ve averaged allowing 35 PPG in the 4 games against Kansas City and 19 PPG in the 8 games against the other 7 teams.
  16. That’s true, but you’re looking at it backwards. The Chiefs scoring fewer points wouldn’t have made the Bills score fewer, but the Bills scoring more likely would have led to the Chiefs also scoring more. If Bass makes that kick, it’s 27-27 and the Chiefs have the ball with 1:40, 2 timeouts, and get to use all 4 downs to score. Even if they fail, there’s overtime. They didn’t need to score, but they did need to get a first down to ice the game. They got a first down. Same goes for the end of the 2024 AFCCG. The Bills final drive ended with just under 2:00 left. If they had managed to score, the Chiefs were getting the ball with a chance to score. There was also the possibility of overtime had the BIlls kicked a FG. Even trying to kill the clock, they gained two first downs and got to the Buffalo 18 before kneeling down. So yeah, there’s a lot of truth to the idea that teams can score more when they need to and play it closer to the vest when they don’t (like in the 2023 AFCCG or the 2024 Divisional round).
  17. Quarterbacks have lower production outdoors than indoors. He had 3 games where he caught less than 67% of his targets: September 15th, Carolina: 78 degrees and sunny with 13 mph wind September 22nd, Pittsburgh: 72 degrees and sunny with 2 mph wind October 13th, Denver: 65 degrees and sunny with 7 mph wind Somehow I don’t think the elements or his hand size or his zodiac sign or whatever had any sort of correlation to his catch percentage. He’s a stud in Los Angeles, and he’d have been a stud in Dallas or Buffalo or anywhere else.
  18. It’s pretty clearly the guys who are 0-3 in postseason games against Mahomes the last 2 seasons? Yeah, and Karl Malone was clearly the best basketball player in 1996-97.
  19. Mahomes is 15-11 in games that he’s trailed by 10 or more at any point.
  20. I was just going to say the same thing. Guy just does not have a F left to give. Maybe they’ve decided to push the young guys harder. Or maybe it’s sound bytes for Hard Knocks, LOL.
  21. 3500 yards, 20 TDs, and 6 INTs plus 500 yards rushing is statistically a top 5 rookie season all time. It was the second best season by a QB in the history of the franchise.
  22. In the last 5 seasons, Burrow’s record when trailing at the start of the 4th quarter is 4-23.
  23. Burrow can’t kill you with his legs the way the others can, and Lamar can’t beat you with the creativity that Allen and Mahomes can. As you go up the ladder, each guy can do something that the guys below him can’t.
  24. He’s a guy that people loved to hate for whatever reason. The guy was a great player, a pretty good dude, and never got into any legal trouble or anything like that. I was always a fan.
