  1. I actually agree with you, but you’ve got to understand that the move will be judged entirely with the benefit of hindsight in the event that Josh gets injured. If I were designing the organizational philosophy, it would involve having Josh run around like a madman until he either gets injured or wins a title. Would it shorten his career? Probably, but that’s a price I’d be willing to pay in order to bring a parade to WNY.
  2. So you’re in favor of designing an offense to give Josh 150+ carries in the regular season?
  3. Sure, but there were approximately 0 people fitting him for a green jacket after his first actual season despite 862 yards and 5 TDs. If Kincaid hits those numbers next season, and he might, that’s a fantastic second year. Those still aren’t on par with #1 target numbers, though. Short of being Gronk, you’d be hard pressed to find a TE who put up monster numbers their second year. That’s not a swipe in any way at Kincaid. It’s simply the reality of the position.
  4. It’s certainly reasonable to expect that he’ll continue to improve, but to your point, it’s unlikely to be exponential. Yes he was a rookie, but he was also 24 years old and likely closer to his ceiling than most. There were 15 players last season who are younger than him who had more yards than he did. To put it into a bit of perspective, he is either older than or less than 6 months younger than guys like CeeDee, Justin Jefferson, Gabe Davis, Amon-Ra, Nico, Kyle Pitts, Jerry Jeudy, and a ton of other players who seem like they’ve been in the league for a long time. By the time Gronkowski was the same age that Kincaid is now, he had 44 career TDs compared to 2 for DK. None of this is to say that Kincaid won’t be a star in this league, but expecting him to be in the HOF is just setting one’s self up for disappointment.
  5. “Just like”? Kelce was coming off a season where he was 3rd in catches, 8th in yards, and 2nd in TDs. Kincaid is coming off a season where he was 34th in catches, 56th in yards, and in a 46 way tie for 113th in TDs. Those are two very different scenarios. I like Kincaid and think he’s going to be a good player in the league for a long time, but it’s probably wise to pump the brakes on putting him in the HOF just yet. If he increases his yardage total next year by 30%, that would give him 875 yards. That would have ranked him 39th overall and 7th among TEs just ahead of Trey McBride last year. If he increases it by 40%, he’d be at 942 yards which would have ranked 32nd overall or basically the minimum threshold for being a #1 target in the league.
  6. Rash was doling out personal pans. Larges are for when you beat up your pregnant baby mama. Only guys like Von and Tyreek have to stoop to that level.
  7. He always seems to be trying to guess the routes rather than play the receiver. As a result, he gets off balance easily when he guesses wrong. It’s also why he tends to grab. Every once in a while he guesses correctly and runs into an interception. Those are good results, but they aren’t necessarily indicative of good cornerback play.
  8. Nobody delivers more food to the needy than Rashee Rice. And the best part is you know the pizzas were still piping hot.
  9. Rice is the early favorite for the Walter Payton MOTY Award.
  10. Don’t know about the identity, but I expect there to be a striking increase in team speed. The defense looked noticeably old and slow last year. More than ever, this is a young man’s game particularly on defense.
  11. Two chicks at the same time.
  12. That may be, but 900 yards, 7 TDs, and a record breaking postseason qualifies as being a difference maker. Whether or not he can extract his head from his ass is a different story, but he’s Brandon Aiyuk on the field. The narrative I was discounting is basically “if the Chiefs drafted a WR, he’s probably going to bust”. Rice was a WR1 as a rookie, and Vegas pegs Worthy as being a solid WR2 out of the gate (though I would take the under on 800 yards of I had to pick a side).
  13. That’s partially true. They generally hope to split the money, but they don’t pursue that at the expense of setting the line wrong in terms of what they actually expect to happen. Doing so would expose them to taking massive losses from the pros.
  14. Maybe you missed it, but a Chiefs rookie WR just had 938 yards and 7 TDs in the regular season before setting the all time rookie record for postseason receptions.
  15. The USC QBs who have flamed out have all been golden boys. Caleb’s not in that mold.
  16. Vegas has Worthy’s O/U set at 800.5 yards for the season. They and the Chiefs’ front office must be incompetent. https://sportsbook.draftkings.com/nfl-player-props?category=player-stats&subcategory=receiving-yards
  17. Super Bowl attendees are mostly from out of town. Draft attendees are largely local and wouldn’t need hotels. Buffalo would be a great spot.
  18. 7 of his 8 highest rushing attempt totals came in the last 8 games. He ran 46 times in the final 4 games. That’s the difference between Brady and Dorsey. Josh ran twice as often under Brady. Take from that what you will.
  19. He had a WR exactly like Claypool. His name was Kelvin Benjamin.
  20. Tua takes a lot of heat, but Herbert’s no better. Not sure why he’s immune from criticism.
  21. Just saw that Vegas has him right at 750, so he’s likely closer to that second group. Seems like a big ask, but there are plenty of targets available.
  22. Multiple witnesses including the club owner said Rice never hit the guy, and now the photographer is no longer pursuing charges. Rashee has been a full participant in OTAs.
