  1. When you’re looking to find whether a person deserves the benefit of the doubt after discovering the racist comments they’ve made, it’s helpful to see whose opinions they value. When that list is extremely short and comprised of people who tweet things like: “Meet the new KKK, they call themselves ‘Black Lives Matter’ but make no mistake their goals are far from equality. #Dallas #bluelivesmatter.” I’m not inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt. When people show you who they are, believe them. If you want that guy in your team’s locker room, white more power to you.
  2. If “a different view” is that “elite whites” should have rights that are exclusive to them, then shame on you for defending that view. You and Jake can stick to reading Tomi Lahren and Ben Shapiro, and you’ll never have to worry about anyone being called out for racist statements.
  3. That’s a lot of words to say that Fromm made bigoted remarks and got called on it.
  4. Thanks (Bill is my IRL name as well, BTW)
  5. I’m sure people thought Branch Rickey was too political when he signed Jackie. The same types have sung the same song since the beginning of time. The dustbin of history is filled with them, but there’s always room for more. In the end, they always lose. Always
  6. The same crybabies who couldn’t stay away last time won’t stay away this time either. The NFL has already accounted for the fact that the boomer generation loves to shake their fists, but they can’t throw a punch. For every fixed income snowflake they lose due to this, they stand to gain a millennial who has actual purchasing power for the next 40 years. Best get used to the new reality. People in nursing homes don’t buy season tickets. They’re now the target demographic for reverse mortgages, copper healing bracelets, “tactical” sunglasses, and cashing in IRAs for gold coins. And the players don’t care what you say or do seven days a week.
  7. Why don’t we just take a look at who Fromm has followed on social media to see if he deserves the benefit of the doubt? If it’s a who’s who of progressive thinkers, he gets the benefit of the doubt. If it’s a bunch of right wing ideologues, then we’ve got our answer. Any Fromm apologists want to play this game?
  8. Tom has a political science degree from Harvard. Rush Limbaugh dropped out of college after two semesters at Southeast Missouri State.
  9. I love it when people try to sound smart by feigning stupidity.
  10. Instead they get to pay Alex Smith $71,000,000. But hey, at least they had 6 years to come to that decision.
  11. Someone should start one here.
  12. Amen. Lets just keep our entertainment and our politics separate. What’s next? Are we going to start electing actors to be the POTUS? Draft dodging reality TV stars?
  13. -posted on an NFL themed message board
  14. What are you doing here when you could be standing for the anthem right now from the comfort of your own home? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cP5---17O4s
  15. I’m sure he has a confederate flag sticker on his truck as well.
  16. They should at least be up front about the fact that these displays are advertisements. They intentionally do it on the sly in order to make people think these are organic displays and not paid sponsorships. Pretty manipulative, IMO.
  17. Are you this outspoken against people celebrating the confederate flag? The right will never run out of excuses for why we should ignore and invalidate calls for injustice.
  18. How can I virtue signal about how “patriotic” I am if they stop playing the national anthem, though?
  19. We can keep politics out of sports when leagues lose their anti-trust exemptions and stop using public money to finance their stadiums.
  20. Bosa all day every day.
  21. Cool. You think the Redskins handled their QB situation well. You and I clearly disagree pretty much across the board when it comes to evaluating QBs and the handling of QBs.
  22. Washington literally did everything wrong. They had a good QB, but decided he wasn’t good enough to commit to long term. Instead of letting him go or trading him, they decided to piss him off and franchise him. They wound up paying him a ton of money and were left with nothing to show for it. They wound up trading assets for a similar player who was older, and his leg fell off. They had to panic draft a QB, and the early returns are terrible. Basically they’ve invested as much or more into the position than anyone, and they’ve got Dwayne Haskins to show for it.
  23. It hasn’t exactly worked out well. They had a very good QB, but they decided to string him along, but they certainly didn’t save any money in so doing. They gave up a lot of assets, both in picks and a player for Alex Smith. It failed. They tried Case Keenum. It failed. They drafted a QB early in the first round a year ago, and people were already calling for them to give him the Josh Rosen treatment. Buffalo has this season to decide on Allen without turning into a soap opera. If they decline they fifth year option, you’ve got your answer.
