  1. Their offense runs thru Zeke but they will pay him in the end as he is a good QB.
  2. No you are not alone. At this point in Brady's career Stafford probably does give them a better chance.
  3. Is Tua healthy? That injury he suffered this past season looked pretty bad. I know some team will take a chance (Dolphins) on him but how healthy is he?
  4. I guess this report kills the trade rumor. If Detroit is trying to win next season then it makes no sense to trade him.
  5. https://sports.yahoo.com/report-lions-trying-trade-matthew-113321933.html
  6. https://www.si.com/extra-mustard/2020/02/10/monday-night-football-flex-scheduling It wouldn't start until 2023 but that would suck for people attending the game.
  7. If they don't resign Brady then they will bring in a stop gap for a year or two (Dalton who will be looking to start somewhere is an option) but they will definitely be looking at QB's in the draft. Same goes for NO if Bridgewater leaves. Pitt has to after their season crashed and burned without Ben and he is nearing the end anyway. Burrow will be a Bengal and Tua most likely goes to the fish. I don't know if this is a really strong draft for QB's overall. I hope not because I don't want NE to find their next potential franchise QB. I could see NE taking a chance on Josh Rosen if he is available. His career has gotten off to a rocky start but Bill is the type of coach who could put him in a situation to succeed.
  8. I was at the NY-TB game at MetLife yesterday. Had a good time and of course tailgating is always fun. Only 17,624 at MetLife which holds 82,500 so that tells you all you need to know about the crowd. It doesn't replace the NFL or college but it's nice to have football extended for a few months. The NY Guardians are 1-0 and the best football team in the NYC area. When your competition is the Jets/Giants I guess that's not saying much.
  9. After the Super Bowl I pay more attention to hockey (Isles fan) and then baseball soon after (Yanks fan). Football season to me is the NFL and college. I might check out the XFL if nothing else is on but this time of year I will stick with the NHL and MLB when it comes to sports.
  10. I don't know if you can compare Ralph Wilson to Terry/Kim Pegula. Terry and Kim haven't been owners all that long. If I were grading the Pegula's on their own I would give them a C-. They get a B for the Bills since they got it right with Beane/McDermott. They get a F for the Sabres. No other way to say this but the Sabres continue to be a train wreck. As for Ralph Wilson he did a lot of great things for the league starting back in the AFL days. He did bring football to Buffalo and made sure they stayed after his passing. He wasn't a great owner as far as the wins and losses. Highlights for his teams were the back to back AFL championships. The early 80's Knox teams, and of course the Super Bowl years. Aside from that there was a ton of losing. I would grade him a C/C+ overall. JMHO
  11. He can talk all he wants but what is he 41,42? Once "Father Time" gets you its over. Every athlete loses that battle and Marcia is no different. Next year he will experience what its like to not win the division. 2020 AFCE champs play in Orchard Park.
  12. I would rather have Joe Ferguson at his current age instead of Mr. 5 INT's in a half.
  13. You could say the same about Allen. He is a very good athlete but he still needs to become a better QB. Playing the pocket, going thru his reads and making good decisions in where to go with the ball. He needs to protect the ball better (INT's and fumbles). He was a big reason why the Bills didn't get a chance to play at KC in the divisional round. Hoping he can take the next step next season in becoming a very good/great QB.
  14. Mahomes is a great player but look at that KC offense. He wouldn't have been nearly as successful on the Bills given what they have had on offense. Looking back at the 2018 draft I was more annoyed about the Jets trade with the Colts to move up to #3 and get Darnold than passing on Mahomes. Darnold was the QB I wanted the Bills to get. I still think he will be a great QB and maybe the best from the 2018 class if the Jets can build a team around him.
  15. That KC @ BUF game screams primetime. I think Buffalo ends up with 3 primetime games. Two scheduled in April and they get flexed into one during the season.
  16. I am hoping Allen gets better not faster. He needs to improve his pocket awareness, reading defenses and having a better judgement in knowing where to go with the ball. He is fast enough but I want to see him become a better all around QB. If he does then the Bills will be able to make some serious noise and compete for a Super Bowl.
  17. It silly to make predictions before FA and the draft. Beane is building a solid roster so I expect the Bills to be better in 2020. I don't know what the record will be but for the first time in a long time NE is going to have to fight for the division and the Bills are the only team that can take it from them. The Jets and Dolphins are both rebuilding and probably need a year or two before they can really compete for the division and playoffs.
  18. It used to be Rich Stadium then was Ralph Wilson Stadium and now New Era Field. Place opened in 1973.
  19. Miami is a terrible pro sports town. I would add to your list the Panthers as well. Nobody goes to there games unless they are playing a team that brings in a ton of fans. Next time the Rangers play the Panthers in Florida take a look at how many Rangers fans are there. Place sounds like MSG South.
  20. It's crazy and going to Yankees Stadium is also expensive. I prefer to watch the Yanks from the comfort of my home. Traveling from NJ into the Bronx is a hassle as well.
  21. Even though I am a Bills fan(OJ was my favorite player growing up) I live 20 minutes from MetLife. My Dad was (passed away 2003) a huge Jets fan and bought seasons during Namath's rookie season. I have the tickets now and I have 2 seats. At Giants Stadium they were $75 a ticket. For both $150 a game times 10 games is $1500. Parking was 20 a game times 10 games = $200. Total cost at Giants Stadium was $1700 per year. At MetLife my tickets are $125 a piece. So $250 x 10 games = 2500. My PSL fee is $5000 per seat so that is $10,000. Parking pass is $20 a game so that totals $200 for the year. Total cost at Met Life $2500 for the tickets, $200 for parking, $1000 a year for 10 years for the PSL = $3700 per year. A $2000 increase for the same service $1700 vs $3700 from Giants Stadium to MetLife for me. I forgot to mention the Jets are charging me interest on my PSL fee because I can't pay it off in one shot. Like everyone else other expenses come first mortgage, taxes, kids college and so on. The NYC market is obviously different then the Buffalo market but make no mistake the Pegula's will make the season ticket holders pay one way or another. Enjoy the time at Rich, Ralph, New Era because it is a great football stadium where the real fans can still show up. Many Jets/Giants fans got priced out and now they get the business crowd. Neither team has a real homefield advantage anymore. The funny part is every Jets/Giants fan I have talked to hates MetLife. It sucks and everyone misses Giants Stadium. I would take Shea back over MetLife and Shea was a dump.
  22. Even though he was considered a legend and fan favorite when he played I would think OJ tops the list now for the obvious reasons.
  23. Exactly. See last year's Browns who "won" the offseason with signing big name players. How did that work out for them.
  24. The funny thing is when players get to Buffalo many of them love it. Look at Kelly as an example. He blew off the Bills to go to the USFL but now the guy is Mr. Buffalo and made it his home. Thurman is another one who moved back here fulltime. Kyle Williams loves the area. There have been so many players who loved playing in front of Bills Mafia where they get a real home field advantage. Is the weather really that much of a factor during football season? August, Sept its hot. October still not bad, November (minus that freak snow storm a few years ago) still not that bad. December and January is when you have to deal with the possibility of snow. If you are playing in January nobody will care as it's the playoffs. When the season is over these players can leave the area. They certainly can afford multiple homes if they want. As far as the other elements like wind and rain that can happen anywhere.
