  1. If the NFL has a season with no fans at games and their is no CFB then why not give them a shot at the NFL level. The NFL is probably the only league that could survive having a season with empty stadiums given their strong TV contract.
  2. On the news this morning Cuomo said the amount of new cases is declining and more and more are recovering and the leaving the hospital in NYC. So their are many hospital beds that are available for those who need it. It appears that NYC is at or near its peak and things should (hopefully) start getting better. The DOW futures at last check are up 800 points due to signs that things are starting to stabilize. Maybe social distancing is working. But who knows as the news changes with this thing hourly. I really hope we have football. I am huge sports fan (NFL,NHL,MLB) and never realized how much I would miss it until these last few weeks.
  3. I hope so. I get that sports isn't all that important with everything else going on but it sucks having no NHL playoffs and baseball season. I hope I am wrong but I don't see how sports can go on without a vaccine. Many stores that are open are limiting the amount of people going into them at one time. It's hard to imagine 70,000 - 80,000 being allowed into a stadium to watch football without a vaccine. The "experts" say it will take 12-18 months and that is with them working 24-7 on this thing. If the 2020 season doesn't happen then here is the 2021 schedule. https://fbschedules.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/

  5. The NHL and NBA are done. Their will be no playoffs. At best baseball could have an 80-90 game season but they might also be done. The NFL because of the revenues they generate thru their TV contract might be able to pull off the season without fans in attendance. The TV ratings would be extremely high more so than they usually are. If any league/sport can make it work (no fans at the games) its the NFL.
  6. I can't remember the last time the Bills had a 4PM game at home or anywhere on the EC. Granted they have sucked for most of the past 20 years so they were never the nationally televised game on Sunday afternoon. I think the only 4PM games we get will be on the WC. I could see BUF at SF as a 4:25 start shown to the entire country.
  7. True. Then if we are going by the schedule release I will say the Bills get 2 primetime games.
  8. If the Dolphins do well in the draft they will show improvement. They played hard for their HC last season and did better than what many thought they would. I could see 7 or 8 wins. I wouldn't count out NE as they still have Bill and their D is strong. To me the Pats are the Pats until they aren't. It's not like they lost a '"STILL IN HIS PRIME" Brady. NE will run the ball and play D. They will be fighting with the Bills for the division. The Jets may have finished the season strong but they beat a bunch of cupcakes to rack up those wins and a Bills team that had no interest in playing the season finale. If the Bills needed that game they would have won it. I live in NJ and am a Jets season ticket holder. Every Jets fan I have talked to said they believe Joe Douglas will build a winner around Darnold but it will take time (2 or 3 years). Basically what Beane has done for the Bills. Just about all of them don't like Gase and think he will eventually have to be replaced for the Jets to become a contender. Bills 10-6 Pats 9-7 Fins 7-9 Jets 5-11
  9. They did last year. Dallas on Thanksgiving was scheduled in April and then they got flexed into two others at NE on Sat and at Pitt on SNF. Three is definitely possible but my guess is when the schedule comes out we see KC at BUF (SNF) and BUF at NYJ (MNF). If they are doing well then they probably get flexed into another one.
  10. Jim Kelly was one of the best QB's in the league at this time, a true franchise QB. I hope Josh Allen can get to that level, but he isn't close yet. Those Bills teams already had some success. This Bills team is good but they haven't become a great team yet. I do think Beane and McDermott will get them to that level. We just have to wait and see how it plays out.
  11. Same here in NJ. We barely got anything. Good thing I got gas for the snow blower just so I could dump it into my jeep. Glad that winter didn't show up this year considering everything we are going thru.
  12. My guess is Chiefs at Bills will be on primetime on SNF. Mahomes and Allen plus the Chiefs O vs the Bills D. Old AFL rivals. I also see the Bills at Jets on MNF. Darnold and Allen plus its a rivalry game that is usually competitive.
  13. Regular season games at New Era in Jan and playoff games there in Feb. Bills fans better put a plow in front of their jeeps/trucks or snowmobile their way to the stadium.
  14. Go about a minute in for the start.
  15. If they can get training camp going then we will have a season. Everything before that (mini-camp, rookie camp, OTA's) is not happening.
  16. I think the streak they broke in this game(1983) was winning in Miami for the first time since 1966. The 80 opener was in Buffalo and the Bills like most home games back then wore white jerseys with blue pants.
  17. Was this the 1983 game (Marino's first game ) where the Bills won for the first time in Miami since 1966. I think it was 38-35 in OT with Ferguson throwing 5 TD's passes this day.
  18. From a Bills perspective they should show the Bills win over the Jets on MNF at Giants Stadium in the early 90's. The Bills were trailing late and Kelly threw a TD pass to Thurman for a 23-20 win if I remember correctly. That GW TD pass happened right in front of me as my seasons at GS were at the goal line.
  19. The 1980 season opener is the game I would love to watch. I also wish that game was available. That is the best regular season Bills win with honorable mention of 31-0 season opener win over the Pats a few years back.
  20. Mini camp, rookie camp, OTA's are done. Hopefully they can get a full training camp in July and go from there. Who knows what will happen. I am a Bills fan living in NJ who happens to be a Jets season ticket holder. The Jets sent me an e-mail last week that they are suspending payments for the upcoming season. That can't be good. I don't want to be all doom and gloom but the possibility of no season is real. I would imagine other teams have or will do the same for their season ticket holders as well. Have the Bills suspended any payments to the season ticket holders like the Jets did?
  21. Yesterday I watched the 1981 WC game vs the Jets at Shea. That was one of the most exciting Bills games ever played. Bill Simpson saves the day with an INT at the goal line with just seconds left stopping a furious Jets rally. I was at this game and I remember leaving Shea with a giant smile on my face looking at all of those disappointed Jets fans. This was also my first "heart attack" game that the Bills gave me. Up 24-0 in the 2nd Q and 31-13 in the 4th it never should have come down to a last second play. Thankfully they held on to win as that would have been a very painful loss if they didn't.
  22. You are right at the end of the day the Bills have to prove it on the field. This does however feel different from the Rex days. Beane has done a good job adding talent to the roster and the same for McDermott with coaching the players. Both are building/coaching the Bills the right way. Two playoff appearances in the last 3 years. Coming off a 10 win season for the first time in a long time. Expectations are going to be sky high in WNY with Bills are rightfully so.
  23. The only game I truly remember during those terrible years was the huge upset over Dallas in 84. I believe the Bills were 0-11 at the time and Bell had an 80 yard TD run on the first play from scrimmage that led to a 14-3 win. I think the crowd that day was 75,000 but mostly Cowboy fans. With the exception of this one game there was nothing to cheer for in 84,85. Of course we did get Bruce with the 1st pick in the 85 draft but from a gameday standpoint the Cowboys game was the only good memory during this time.
