Watching all the talking head shows...
Bruffalo replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
THANK YOU. I was yelling this at my TV. My gameday text group was blowing up with "WHAT ARE YOU DOING ALLEN" "HORRIBLE DECISION" etc... I was the only guy to say "Maybe Davis isn't supposed to break off his route like that". -
Talk about a self-burn there, haha. If the Bills are trash, what does that make the phins? Sounds like they're getting mentally prepared to be bounced from the playoffs in round 1 again.

Levi Wallace doesn't get the contract he got without McD. Benford and Jackson have both played well above their draft status. Wildgoose got pouched but played some meaningful NFL snaps. I think he's pretty good at maximizing CB play with scheme/development.

Will Sherfield be better in the #2 role than Davis???
Bruffalo replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
For better or worse, this team is fiercely loyal to "their guys". We've had 0 production from Von but they keep trotting him out there until they finally shifted last week. -
OMG, the NFL is legit rigged (postseason matchups)
Bruffalo replied to cage's topic in The Stadium Wall
No one is going to convince me that the pointless Kincaid review (a literal .5 yard difference where the clock stops either way) wasn't an attempt to kill the Bills momentum. -
I don't think I would go as far as to say he's holding it back, but I'll agree he isn't doing anything to elevate it.

Tua is a fantastic QB for McDaniels' system, which is to make one read and throw the ball very quickly. He's also decent to great at presnap reads. But he's a horrific improviser and can't go through progressions at an elite level. Once you take away the designed first option his efficiency plummets.
-
Allen needs one more excellent to elite WR and you'd see his turnovers drop by half. Gabe Davis isn't the guy.
-
That's not really a tight game in NFL standards. An 8 point spread sounds about right.
-
It shows you how confident the NFL is that we'll beat the snot out of the Steelers though.

Douglas is huge. I hope he's all right and just hyper extended something or tweaked it. He was still in pads on the sideline so I'd imagine he may have been able to go in if they were in dire straights. Davis can stay out, as far as I'm concerned. It feels like almost all the big offense mistakes have happened whenever Allen tries to toss the ball to Davis so he can make a play.

Considering the rollercoaster of a season this has been I'm considering anything in the post season just cherries on the cake. Josh Allen is Buffalo's Jesus and I won't listen to any blasphemer jabronis trying to pin the team's woes on him. Legitimately the best superstar I've ever seen play the game in my lifetime.
-
Has there ever been a person that seemingly singlehandedly held a team back more than Dorsey? Cook looks like a legitimate superstar in the running and pass game post Dorsey.

Agreed. More reliable talent in the WR2 spot would go a long way. The easiest way to do that would be a high investment in the WR room R1.

Gabe Davis- Do you want him back and for how much $
Bruffalo replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall
Way to conveniently leave out what I said I'd actually want them to do. The smartest course of action would be to let Gabe walk and invest in a R1 WR. Look at the Vikings with Jordan Addison, that's the model you want ideally. Maybe even double dip in the 3rd round. Regardless, Gabe is going to get a contract in the 11-15 million range most likely. I'd rather have a rookie WR than pay 12 for a guy who is way too streaky. -

Career wise though it's not. Gabe has less receptions but around the same yards, and way more touchdowns. Davis is also praised as a great blocker and Jones is not. -

I don't think we should hold onto Gabe Davis but saying Zay Jones is better than Davis is a hell of a statement. Given the choice I'd take Davis every time. -
Ex-Jaguars employee pleads guilty to charges over team theft
Bruffalo replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall
I assume that they were hidden by baking the embezzling into the upkeep of the disgusting Jaguars' stadium pools. -

Kendrick Bourne and Tyler Boyd are the first two that come to mind. I'd rather replace him with a R1 WR though regardless. -

I think there's more reliable guys out there for what you're going to pay in that 6-9 million dollar range. -

So are we just done expecting Von Miller to do anything?
Bruffalo replied to dayman's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not really much you can do one way or the other. Either he'll bounce back or he won't. It seems like the coaching staff is giving him reps and holding out hope that he'll find his groove again. He's on the team no matter what unless he's brought up on those DV charges. -
He's almost past Miller, the fact that Mahomes is losing his mind over this is a really, really bad look.
