Awesome-this means that all of the negative posters around here will definitely have the chance to say “I told you so” at some point next season when that rookie 5th rounder that the Bills “could’ve had” has a couple of decent games or god forbid a good season. I can hear it now “and the Bills wasted a 2nd round pick on ________” or “that’s why this team will never win because they make stupid draft picks like ____________ when this other guy was sitting right there for them” I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, it’s like Christmas for them

There has always been a million whiney reasons and a million people whining about each one, there just wasn’t an outlet for it. You think people back in the 70’s and 80’s didn’t complain about the Steelers, cowboys, and 49ers? Absolutely they did, they just couldn’t do it for the whole world to see

These statements crack me up “McDermott is only going to hire guys who think the same way he does” YES just like every other person who hires someone. Why would you hire someone that you would constantly be at odds with?

That’s very true I am-but it’s the same standard every other QB in the league is held to. What’s been the conversation about Josh the last week plus - That he chokes in the playoffs. Obviously we all know better but at least Josh is making it to the playoffs to get that criticism. Like I said in my post I get it and I see it, he’s talented, but somehow he is not held to the same standard of scrutiny and criticism that other QBs are. If you look at the lists that everyone is putting out, all of the QBs (besides Stroud) have been in the playoffs multiple times….except for Herbert

Well what it does is it shows your bias, plain and simple. You actually did do some good work but give the full picture that’s all You’ve never seen threads and posts about how bad the defense has continually played in the playoffs? We must read different threads because that has been a theme for years

I don’t really understand the “he doesn’t deserve it crowd” How does he not deserve it? Because a couple of quarterbacks went from extremely crappy play to slightly above average play?

The reality is this is how many teams operate, especially with a franchise QB. There will be a bunch of guys on 1 year prove it deals. Floyd proved it, he doesn’t owe the Bills anything, he deserves to get paid by someone. He will move on and the Bills will find another guy on a 1 year prove it deal. Thats what the salary cap does-you have a small handful of guys you give big deals to, the team has their rookie deal guys, then everyone else is on these 1-2 year deals

So it’s not that I don’t see it at times with the eye test, but I continue to question why Herbert gets ranked so highly and how he continues to evade criticism. Made it to the playoffs once, where they choked away a huge lead. Has come into the past 3 seasons with very high expectations and hasn’t delivered. Sure his team has dealt with injuries but what team (outside of KC) hasn’t? It seems people continue to judge other QBs on production while he still gets judged on potential. Would he be in my top 10 yes, but for me he’s closer to 10 than to 5

What's embarrassing is your attachment to anything negative that happens. You want me to take back the less of a fan comment, that's fine, I do, but everything else I said I stand behind firmly. You certainly don't view the glass as half full - I've read a lot of your posts and most of the time you don't even have water in the glass! You can certainly be angry after last night's game - everyone is. There is criticism to go around, that's for sure (although some of the things being criticized are ridiculous). But to come on here often times after wins and post the things that you and some others do is borderline insane. You want perfection but it's not gonna happen. I have no interest in getting into a back and forth with you about this. You seem to like to live your Bills fanhood through negativity and pessimism. I don't understand that train of thought or how that is enjoyable. Enjoy the offseason

So then for you guys today must be Christmas because you get to go in these threads and say “I told you so!” You guys like to watch the Bills with a pessimistic point of view-don’t know how that’s enjoyable but that’s cool for you. Works out perfectly for you though-if the Bills win you get to pretend you’re still a fan and now that they’ve lost you get some sort of weird smug satisfaction out of that too. Cool.

Especially at home I’m always in favor of putting the defense on the field first. Also the potential of a double dip to start the 2nd half is really appealing
