I don’t buy this at all. You are giving Diggs way too much credit over Josh’s leadership abilities. I don’t believe Diggs had that much influence on how Josh led the team. I also don’t get this obsession of needing to see Josh be “vocal” on the sidelines, as if that somehow makes him a better leader. Good leaders don’t need to scream at their teammates on the sidelines. We also have no idea what Josh does in terms of leadership the other 6 days a week. Players love playing for him, they all say he’s a great leader, and this has absolutely been Josh’s team the last several years. The “no one left to challenge him” line is just nonsense

No matter what you think of Diggs the person, objectively can anyone say the team is a better TEAM today than yesterday? I don't think anyone reasonably can say that. It's April, there's going to be moves made, let's see how the team looks in July/August/September Also.....guess it's time I change my screen name

Oh I definitely agree with that. He certainly could be supplanted by the end of the year. I just don’t think the Texans are ready to make Dell the definitive #2 yet, especially coming off his injury

But are you reading too much into it? I like Diggs, I think he’s a good teammate, i don’t really care what he says on Twitter, and I read it more as someone was taking a shot at him not being elite any more, not a shot at Josh. That’s where the line is though. For those of you who want him gone, you’re looking for those types of things and perceived slights. At least from my POV it doesn’t seem like the team or Josh are really taking anything he says on Twitter seriously

So then say the facts-his playoff victories are against the Colts, Ravens, Patriots, Dolphins, and Steelers. He didn’t play one down against any of those guys

So just to counter that, is it better to take the 4th best WR or the 5th best QB? Taking the 5th best QB could set back a franchise even more. Taking the WR probably is setting up Denver to draft early next year and they could end up with a much better prospect

Sorry but you lost me once you mentioned Herbert. The guy is talented but Lamar has done so much more than Herbert has at this point

It was the right throw, he just didn’t make it (we all know why, and it wasn’t because of Josh)! Why do we still need to keep talking about it? Yes Diggs was open, so was Shakir! Maybe they still only get a field goal with a pass to Diggs, then Mahomes still gets the winning drive…or is that not part of the narrative you want on that?

I would much rather be in Josh’s situation, constantly getting into the playoffs, having extremely high expectations, and get the criticism than be a supposed supremely talented QB on supposed incredibly talented teams that can never come through….Justin Herbert anyone? He underperforms so often and somehow his team is consistently so bad that dude somehow escapes all criticism

There’s no reason for them to get a deal done until OTAs/training camp. Tua is their guy (lucky for us) and he’s going to get paid (again lucky for us). They don’t have a roster built for a rookie QB

That’s true, because Lewis is MUCH worse than Tolbert was. I will give Lewis some credit, he did improve this past season, in that he didn’t almost single-handedly cost the Bills 2 games like he did the previous year

So by your own thinking Diggs value has never been lower, so why would they trade him now? You don’t get “what you can” for him, if you trade him it’s because you are getting some value back, otherwise keep him. Getting “what you can” will tank this team a lot sooner than keeping him will. He’s a distraction, so what? Literally every other top receiver in the league is a distraction too
