  1. From what I've seen, he takes on criticism better than he takes on a single blocker... But I don't know his role in this defense and the coaches say he is doing good so...
  2. You shush. Aaron and Kyle have both been some of my favorite Bills of all time. Both represented this team on the field with their heart on their sleeve. So shush!
  3. One thing I truly admire about this regime is the way they are constantly trying to improve, and no one is mistaken for thinking what they have is as good as it is going to get. Previous regimes seemed all too content to keep the roster the same from week 1 to week 17 - McBeane is not afraid to go after players they think can improve this team in any way - whether through a trade (Benjamin) or a street free agent (Liuget). Weaknesses are recognized, and attempts are made to improve. That is huge for me.
  4. I think overtime should be scrapped altogether. That would make the end of games more exciting knowing you have to play to win. No more chip shot field goals to go to overtime - go for a TD or settle for a tie and kick the FG. Obviously, overtime would have to be part of the playoffs, but I think late game series would be more exciting knowing it's go big or go home. Of course, you'd have the coaches out there that would be fine playing for the tie... but the Brian Flores' of the world would go for the win every time!
  5. I'm on mobile so no videos for me... but if i had to choose, one of my favorite all time clips is steve tasker demolishing the punt returner as the ball arrives. Boom boom
  6. This is the game John Brown finally breaks out. Over 150 yards and 2+ TD's!
  7. If he gets released, im not opposed to the Bills kicking the tires on him. I dont believe i have ever seen anything about him being a bad teammate or a distraction... if he truly believes the redskins were in the wrong, i cant say i blame him for his handling of the situation. Bring him in, get the full story, do your own physical, and decide where to go from there. No harm done.
  8. For those of you downplaying hunts return... look at our screen defense this year and how Hunt has done with screens in the past. Kitchens isnt a world beater of a coach, but you can bet we will see a handful of screens to hunt this week.
  9. Can you at least use a shoehorn if you are going to shove words in my mouth like that?
  10. I definitely agree they looked rusty. What i really want to see is a statement win. Doesn't matter to me who they do it against, but i want to see that game where they start hot, and control the game from whistle to whistle in all 3 phases of the game in a comfortable win. Doesn't even have to be a blowout where allen throws for 300 yards and 3 tds either. Thats when i will say this team looks like they belong in the playoffs.
  11. That's more like it! I come to this message board to see others observations and opinions (and this board is insanely good at posting breaking news). I think the bad defense stretches to the dolphins game as well... which has me concerned for facing any team going forward because you know they are going to model the dolphins and eagles until we figure out a fix for it.
  12. ...4th quarter comeback means win does it not? I'm pointing out that your post saying "it's simple" is lazy and leads me to believe you either aren't watching the same games the rest of us are, or you have failed to take off the rose colored glasses while doing so. There is a reason a lot of fans aren't confident in this team to be a lock for the playoffs even at 5-2 and with a cake schedule for 4 weeks. This team deserves every analyst that says they aren't as good as their record indicates until they prove otherwise. Defense has been figured out, and offense can't get into a rhythm... they still need 5 wins at a minimum to make the playoffs, and I'm having a hard time seeing any slam dunks left.
  13. The team Needing 4th quarter combacks vs 3 of the worst teams in the NFL would like to say hi.
  14. My biggest gripe to date for this season is the predictability of the plays that Daboll calls. I'm talking 100% of the time lee smith is in the game and wrs are bunched in, it is a run, and shotgun is almost 100% pass unless gore is next to allen to take the draw. There seems to be almost no attempt at disguising run vs. pass plays, and it makes the game plan that much more simple for opposing DC's to prepare for. When i'm at home telling my wife run or pass and getting it right the majority of the time... thats sad because i am a far, far cry from an NFL player or DC.
  15. Mmm, yes. The floor here is made out of floor. Rest easy Bills fans. After getting gashed for over 200 yards, our coaches know that probably shouldnt happen again if they want to be succesful.
  16. Oof... if I was a betting man, I'd probably take the Redskins to cover and the under in this one... until the Bills show they can put up points, a 10 point spread is unrealistic. Hell, the skins covered that spread against the Vikes last week in a 29 point game!
  17. Would he help? Of course, as would dontari poe... but no way would i want the Bills giving up a 1st or even 2nd for either.
  18. Depends on who is available at pick 32 when they are on the clock...
  19. Beasely absolutely and I'd like to see quick hitters to John Brown too - he is more likely to take it to the house on a blown coverage than Beasely. Beasely seems to be a little too concerned about taking a hit sometimes and he goes down prematurely.
  20. What kills me is the play calls by Daboll where Allen immediately runs to his side after getting the ball to either set up to pass or follow through with a designed QB run. Those plays need to be taken out of the game plan because while they may have worked early in the year, the Eagles showed us that those tendencies are easy to gameplan for. Pretty sure we were 0-fer on all of those plays yesterday, losing the ball once, and putting Allen at risk for injury numerous times. Let Allen do his thing if and when the pocket collapses.
  21. My hope is that Evans monster day yesterday was the Bucs showcasing him to Beane to alleviate Beane's concerns about their asking price...
