As someone alluded, it’s telling on today’s society that skepticism didn’t immediately set in. someone in this country has banged in Bigfoot costumes. The SALT ceiling could hit middle class in high cost of living areas. The other issue is if you live in a state that pegs state income tax to your AGI. In some instances it may be best to itemize even if you come in under the federal standard deduction when viewing income taxes as a whole. In the end however (as mentioned above) people really need to focus on their effective tax rate, not what they get back. I have to write the feds a check this year but my effective rate is down almost 2%.

Atlanta's homeless problem has been getting worse over the past few years. As the city gentrifies they've been shutting down shelters. Some for good reasons (safety, mismanagement, sanitary reasons)...others due to NIMBYs. Actually now that I think about it, the increase in visible homelessness correlates perfectly to the arrival/explosion of the filming industry here ?
