I think that up until recently, they were only using non-playoff teams for the show. That probably has more to do with those numbers than anything else.

I don't disagree; just trying to differentiate between folks who consider it an unfair advantage vs folks who find it tedious. Sports require tension to be interesting and the NFL is on a torrid run of doing things that remove tension from the game.

I think there are also some folks (read: me) who don't necessarily want it banned, don't care that it's unstoppable but still don't like it because it's just boring and predictable. 3rd/short used to be an interesting down; now I look at it as a chance to change the channel or go to the fridge. A league that emphasizes revenue over all else might be wise to consider that side effect.

I guess that's what it really boils down to. For me it's a guy that does multiple things at a very high level, is highly respected by both his teammates and opponents and causes coaches to specifically have to deal with him a certain way every week. Others look more toward voting contests or statistics; I prefer to watch what they actually do on the field.

They are all elite players on the field regardless of the popularity contests you prefer to rely on.

I sort of think that the reason he was repeatedly running loose all over the place against KC is because they had no fear of him whatsoever.

I just think it was frustrating for a lot of folks to watch Gabe Davis spend 4 years here and at the end of it, still not be able to get on the same page as Allen.
